1.) No stealing art!
2.) No flaming, trolling, or general meaness allowed, period.
3.) If you apply for an appointment you must be sure you are ready for a child! These are high-RP "pets" and are not just something to sit in your signature. The more or better you RP, the faster your child will learn and grow. If a child is neglected, it will be placed in a foster home. This means that not RPing your pet significantly in your journal I have the right to take your pet away and give it to someone else without warning or refund! These are children, not collectables.
4.) There is no limit on how many children you may have through the GMFC, however, flatsales are reserved for first time parents ONLY.
5.) I don't really mind PMs, but please DO NOT PM ME UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THE WHOLE FRONT PAGE! I'm going to start blacklisting people who are PMing asking about appointments. All appointments will be announced in the updates and in the "Upcoming Appointments" post.
6.) NO REFUNDS. Once the auction has been paid you will NOT be recieving your money or items back. If you decide at any point you dont' want your child, you may release custody, but you will NOT be recieving a refund.

<center>Role Play Rules</center>

1.) You must roleplay at least once a month! That is ALL I'm asking you to do when you purchase an appointment from me. Thats only twelve posts in a year! Remember, if you RP your child in the thread, or in another thread, that's fine, but you must make a copy of it in your journal or I may never see it!

2.) When the first month passes with no Roleplay, a warning will be given. You are given ONE WARNING (this IS retrospective to the parents who I have already given warnings to). If another month goes by, at any time, with no roleplaying, then your child is taken away.

3.) HIATUS ANNOUNCEMENTS must be clearly posted, in the jounral as if it were an entry. (not just on the front page, but thats good, too). Within THREE months of hiatus, you MUST post an extension, or your child is put up for adoption. If you can't manage 10 minutes of your time to hop online and post a short message abuot why you're gone, then your life is way too hectic for Gaia, and I can assume you're not coming back anytime soon.

4.) If you post a hiatus announcement, but you are still posting on Gaia reguarly, then your hiatus is null and void.

5.) Just because one parent goes MIA does NOT mean you can abandon your child! "because my partner has not ben online" is NOT an acceptable reason to not roleplay. Just like real life, you cannot ignore a child because one parent skips town. There is plenty of things you can do with your child that only involves ONE PARENT.

Q: Can these breed?
A: Yes, they can. But they will have to procure an appointment like anyone else- through flatsales or auctions only. Gaian children will be able to breed with other Gaian children or any Gaian avatars.

Q: Can my avatar (or GMFC Child) have a baby with one of my existing pets?
A: Yes, given these two conditions are met: 1) The pet has human-level intelligence! Being that it would be a clinical procedure, I don't care if the pet looks human or animal. 2.) The owner of the OTHER breedable shop must send me a PM stating that it would be okay with them.

Q: But this isn't genetically possible! We don't have the capablilties to clone/raise test tube babies/ create children from homosexuals with such a success rate!
A: In Gaia we do. This is a fantasy setting, remember?

Q: But homosexuals raising children is morally wrong!
A: I don't even want to hear it. If you have a problem with the option of two men or two women having a child and raising it then this clinic is perhaps not for you.

Q: Can I RP these children with my other RP pets?
A: Yes! Actually, it is highly encouraged! These are susposed to be your Gaia-self's children and to be treated as such. Feel free to RP them in other RP areas, and feel free to also RP your other pets in this area, as long as it centralized around your child. I highly reccomend a "other pet" post on the front page of your nursery thread. And if anything significant happens in a thread outside GMFC, please post it or summarize it in your nursery so I can take it into account. I can't go following your child all around Gaia ^_~

Q: If someone uses my egg/sperm that I donated, do I get to see my child?
A: Well, you can see them... but you will not be a part of raising them. Unless given express written permission from the legal gaurdian, I wouldn't even encourage telling the child that you are their biological mother/father. Donating an egg or sperm does not increase your chance of getting an appointment.

Q: Do you do pet trades?
A: As of right now, I will only do a pet trade for Mendel.

Q: Do I have to be an egg/sperm donor in order to get an appointment?
A: NO! Egg/Sperm donations are for single mothers/fathers to use if they want a baby.

Q: FA'E EXCLUSIVE: Can two fa'e have a baby through the GMFC, even if they are trying to become ancients, or have already had their "quota" number of children?
A: YES! But- the catch - they will be completely human, not Fa'e. That means a relatively normal appearence, and no innate magical powers. But they would still be genetically the child of the two Fa'e.

male/female - I don't do much work when it comes to this. Just let nature take its course! The mother carries the child and the couple both partakes in raising the child.

female/female- Dr. Kamiki uses half the genes from one parent and implants in the egg of the other one. Then one mother is chosen to be inseminated with the egg and carry the child through pregnancy. Its natural and easier than test-tubes.

male/male- Dr Kamiki uses half the genes of both parents and implants them into a genetically "empty" egg and the baby is "grown" in an artificial womb here in the lab. All the best care is used to make sure your baby is taken completely care of and we insist both parents are present when the baby is "born"

In the case of all couples: one of the parents must be appointed the sole legal guardian in the unfortunate case of death, dissapearence, or seperation (ooc: one of the parents leaves Gaia, the parents "break" up and no longer want to raise the child together).

Cloning: No, its not like the movies, kiddos. A clone is nothing more than a person who is genetically indentical to you. Identical twins are genetic "clones" of each other. For single Gaians looking to raise a child we can clone your genes and create a baby "you." Females will carry the baby and birth it natually. Males will have their clone raised in a test tube in the facility. While the baby will be identical to you genetically, how a child is raised has drastic effect on its personality.

Sperm/Egg Donation: If you prefer more genetic diversity, the clinic has a bank of donated eggs and sperm from fellow Gaians that you can "shop" for the other half of the genes for your baby. They are simply gene donators and will not take an active partake in the raising of your baby.

Bio: Kamiki started this clinic when she discovered that she was pregnant by her long-time Gaia beau, Sabin. She wanted a place where expectant mothers could come and support each other and become friends, as well help them through their prenatal care. Kamiki also wanted wanted to help other Gaia couples having difficulty conceiving children. The GMFC does all that. Couples conceiving naturally can come for care and advice, couples having trouble concieving can use any of the clinic's expansive selection of genetic enhancing to help them have the child they've always wanted, and anyone can come come and hang out in the lounge to talk, interact, and make friends.

A Note on Fan-Characters and Copyrighted Characters

Okay, after much discussion, I feel I'm legally and morally responsible for clarifing this.

You CAN roleplay as fan-characters from a pre-existing setting. For example, you can be a Hogwart's student, a Jedi, a Sailor Scout, etc. IF, however, you have a character background including an explanation on how you got to Gaia.

However, you can not roleplay as, or create a mule account for, a copyrighted character. For example, you cannot BE Harry Potter, Luke Skywalker, or Sailor Moon.

Regarding "Clone Shops"

People are constantly asking me if they can use the concept of the GMFC to make other clinics, clones of this shop, or concept in a shop of their own.

While I must take the oppurtunity to say I am very very flattered the concept is popular:

THE ANSWER IS NO, so please don't even bother asking.

I appreciate, however, the people who even bothered to ask. Some people have not, and they have just made their own shops.

I do not wish there to be clone shops of the GMFC. I do not support, endorse, or condone people stealing my idea and making their own shops.

People who "clone" or copy the GMFC, and all employees/artists of said shops, will be placed on the GMFC blacklist.

These people are not welcome to post here, or in any journals/diaries from the GMFC. Any posts will be deleted by a moderator. They are also not allowed to get a GMFC appointment though any means - including trades, auctions, raffles, or flatsales.

These people are on "high warning." They are still allowed to post, bid on auctions, and so forth - but if you break another rule while on the greylist you are added to the blacklist for good. Good behavoir will get your name off the greylist.

You WILL be added to the greylist for PMing Kamiki, Reevely, or RikProwley asking about getting an appointment other than through a pet trade offer or autobuy. Auctions, flatsales, autobuys, or pet trades are the ONLY ways to get an appointment. ALL PET TRADE REQUESTS COME TO ME, KAMIKI. They will be passed along to the artists.
