I just learned that a very dear friend of mine on Gaia has died. I knew him as Kaeri, but others may have known him as Icarus_Wings or Icarus 2.0.

I do not yet know how his life has been snatched, but I do know that I and many others will miss him and are distraught.

I ask that anyone who reads this, have a moment of silence for him.

Okay this is the Event thread for Crescent Moon Charity! I've been meaning to do this for a while and finally got down to business. So anyhow...What do we do on this thread? We hold games and contests so that you can win prizes and as well as help us help others! Talk about a win-win situation! What more can a person ask for?

Keep quotes to a maximum of 5.

Event list, Entrance Fees, and Dead Lines:

All Contests Start on 8/02/07. All Applications & trades must be completed and turned in by: 8/13/07. Winners will be posted by 8/1/07 at the latest!
All Prizes will be explained in another post. All information of where to send entry fees as well as what to do with applications and Things like the banners and stories...Read the post above. ^_^

1. Avi Contest. (Actually Avi); Entrance fee is: 150 gp

2. Dream Avi Contest. Entrance fee is: 100 gp

3. Poetry Contest. The TOPIC is: Harry Potter (Since the last and final book came out on 7/21/07.) Entrance fee is: 150 gp

4. Banner Contest. Make A Banner saying: *~Crescent Moon~* Charity. The Entrance fee is 100 gp

5. Tell us the story. What is happening in this picture. (Short story please) Entrance fee is 150 gp

Please remember that when you send the trades...to Send them to me...with the title as that of the contest that you are entering.

The Avi contest and Dream Avi contest need to have 10 people entered in each before prizes can be given out...Sometimes I might bend this, but if 10 people entered then these would be the prizes for both, Dream and normal Avi contest:

1st: 600
2nd: 300
3rd: 100

and if there are more people who entered then the prize pool for that will be bigger.

Poetry contest....Depending how many people enter, depends on the price pool. So if Only 3 people enter, then only 1st place will be awarded...if more enter then 2nd and 3rd may also be paid out.

Okay...As for the banner contest...Who ever wins...I will do best to pay top 3...so we need at least 5 people for this one...But...who ever wins will also have there banner be used by us. All do credit will be given of course.

We will need at least 10 people for the picture story. Where we give you the picture and you tell us the story. We will once again pay out top 3 spots.

Further more...whom ever wins, in any of these...Will also get a banner like thing that says they one our first contest or so on. Kinda like an award.

Also...Please try to not enter more than 2 contests per week.

Hey girlie ^_^ Looks good! I would so enter but ... ya know ... I can't lol.

We'll get peep to get the word around, if you wish, you can message him asking him to help out and spread the word ... and I'll see if Oxi can help bump a bit.

Also for the contests, I suggest explaining in detail what you need to do for each one, be sure to include WHERE to turn in stories and banners.

Great ideas. Feel free to have people come on and bump. I will note that they are like the official bumpers here. ^_^ As for the where to pm the Stories and banners...I will have them turn all those into my mule... Kagetsu Megami

Also...I can go into more detail later...I will work on that while I am at work tomorrow. Anyhow, I am glad you at least like it. I spent one night setting it up...finally I got to it. razz ^_^
