Concoctables are small, breedable, feedable pets. Each Concoctable is created out of a combination of ingredients that you select, brought to life in our laboratory, and returned to you in a habitat to feed, nurture, and enjoy!

Since you may choose from an almost endless combination of ingredients, you dictate what your Concoctable will look and act like. However, given the unpredictable nature of the science used to create Concoctables, we can never be sure of exactly what your chosen ingredients will produce. Even mixing the same ingredients twice will not produce the same result (though it will likely be similar). This way, each Concoctable is completely unique!

Once in your possession, it will be up to you to maintain the happiness and health of you Concoctable. However, this will not drain your Gaian bank account. For taking good care of your Concoctable you will be awarded points which can be used interchangeably with Gaia gold in our shop (for further explanation see "Caring for Your Concoctable" on post 6).

So, once again, Concoctables are small, feedable, breedable pets. Each individual Concoctable is unique and yours to feed, nurture, and enjoy!

Price Overview

--Regular (not auction or raffle) Concoctables cost 2,000g (Habitat, 1 dye, 1 ingredient, and personality serum included)

--Each additional ingredient/dye/DNA costs 50g

General Sales Procedures
1. Only post order forms when there are slots open or after you've won a raffle or auction.
2. Send trade immediately after posting your order form
3. Once your Concoctable has been created, it will be shown to you so that you may choose a suitable habitat and name.
4. After a habitat and name have been selected you will receive your Concoctable and I will complete the trade
5. If you are displease with how your Concoctable turned out you may reselect ingredients for a new Concoctable for a 500g service fee.
*Note: Points can be used in exchange for Gaia gold at any time but you must indicate your intention to cash in your points in your order form (see "Points" in "Caring for Your Concoctable on post 6).

All bidding for auctions is to take place in a separate thread which will be created for the occasion (a link will be provided in updates and in sales info under "auction" wink . Raffles Info
Raffles will be announced in the title of the shop thread, in updates, and will be highlighted in blue while they are going on. All tickets for raffles are to be ordered in posts in this thread. There is no limit to the number of raffle tickets one person may purchase. Cost of raffle tickets will vary depending on the raffle.

Choose your Ingredients

You may use as many ingredients as you would like in order to make your Concoctable. One ingredient is included free of charge when you purchase a Concoctable and each additional ingredient costs 50g (or 50 pts).

Choose a Color

The dye you choose determines the main coloring of your Concoctable. If the color you desire is not readily available, you may choose a second color which the first will be mixed with to create your desired color (For example, if you choose blue and white dye your Concoctable will have light blue coloring). Each additional color costs 50g (or 50 pts).

Choose a Strand of DNA (optional)

If you use DNA when making your Concoctable, the result will be that your Concoctable is similar too or shares traits with the organism from which the DNA came (For example, if you choose canine DNA, your Concoctable may have pointy ears, a tale, and fur). You may use as many different types of DNA as you would like when making your Concoctable, but it is not included in the regular fee. Your first strand of DNA costs 100g (100pts) and each additional strand of DNA you purchase costs 50g (50pts).

Choose a Personality Type

You may choose whether your Concoctable's personality leans more towards good or evil, optimism or pessimism. The potions on the left side of the personality ring will cause your Concoctable to be inclined towards evil while potions on the right side of the personality ring will cause your Concoctable to be more inclined towards good. The higher the potion sits on the ring, the more optimistic your Concoctable will tend to be. The lower, the more pessimistic.
Personality does not affect your Concoctable's capacity for happiness. However, it does affect the type of habitat he may prefer.

Fill Out and Submit Your Order Form

Orderforms are to be submitted only when open slots are available and only in the shop thread. The trade of your payment should be sent immediately after posting your order.

Choose a Habitat for Your Concoctable

Once your Concoctable has been created it will be shown to you so that you may select an appropriate habitat. This transaction may take place in the forum or over PM.

Receive Your Concoctable!

I will send you your Concoctable and then complete the trade.

There has been a breakthrough in the Concoctables laboratory. Concoctables can now be bred! Well, perhaps breeding is not the correct word. Any two "parent" Concoctables may donate their DNA towards the creation of a new baby Concoctable which you may help nurture and watch grow to adulthood.

Breeding Regulations/Helpfull info
Breeding Fee: 3,000g
1. Any two Concoctables may be bred so long as both owners have given consent (of course, if you own two Concoctables, they may be bred together).
2. The Concoctable parents must be of the opposite sex in order to breed.
3. Concoctable babys may be shared but cannot be placed in two different habitats (say, in the habitat of each of the Concoctable parents) at once.
4. When breeding units are available, the title will be highlighted in red
5. Once a baby Concoctable is bred, it must be taken care of differently than an adult Concoctable in order to grow. This can be slightly more expensive than a regular Concoctable. Be sure you can handle the financial strain!
6. While inside the breeding unit, a Concoctable does not need to be fed but no points will be gained.
7. All trade regulations stated in the "Sales info" post apply.

Breeding Your Concoctable
The amount of time it takes to breed two Concoctables depends on the compatability of their genes (ingrediants, dna, and personality). However, all Concoctables can be bred and the eventual result is a baby Concoctable wich is a mixture of its parent's traits.
Below each breeding unit is a monitor which depicts the current stage of the breeding processes as a meter which shows the number of stages to go.

Stage 1: Checking Compatability. In this stage the compatability of both Concoctables is determined. The amount of time it will take to breed the two Concoctables as well as the eventual result hinges on this stage.

Stage 2: Extracting DNA. In this stage parent A's DNA is being extracted and redied for splicing.

Stage 3: Extracting DNA. In this stage parent B's DNA is being extracted and redied for splicing.

Stage 4: Splicing DNA. The genetic makeup of the baby Concoctable is being constructed. This is the longest stage in the process

Stage 5: Concoctable Completed. A new baby Concoctable has been created and is ready for adoption. A pm will be sent to the preindicated owner which is to recieve the baby Concoctable requesting a name and habitat selection.


Growing Concoctables
When a new Concoctable is first created, it requires care and attention from its owner in order to grow into and adult. The speed of a Concoctable's growth and development depends on three things: An immature Concoctable will not grow if either its happiness or hunger gage is below yellow. An immature Concoctable will grow more quickly if it is placed in a habitat with another Concoctable. Different types of Concoctables may grow at different paces.
Newly bred Concoctables go through three stages of growth, each of which require special attention:

Baby: A baby Concoctable can only be fed with a bottle of milk or baby food. However, other than that, baby Concoctables are generally content to sleep or play with themselves in their habitats.

Child: A child Concoctable can eat regular food or be fed by a longterm feeder. However, they require toys in their habitat in order to keep them happy. Regardless of the suitability of their habitat or the hunger of the Concoctable, a child Concoctable's happiness will drop if not entertained by a toy.

Adult: Adult Concoctables require no special food or toys in order to keep them happy. See the "Caring for Your Concoctable" post for more information on keeping your adult Concoctable content.
