8/02: Maki has a new hobby..and has learned a valuable life lesson.

7/04: Maki got into her first fight at the nursery today. I brought her home to have a talk with her.

6/26: Maki was taken to the nursery to try and socialize a bit. :\ it was hard to let her go but I had to do it. <:\ She has to make friends somehow and that will have to be without my help.

6/23: Maki was brought home today ^0^ She seemed a little nervous at first but is getting used to things. She has taken to chewing on my arm out of nervous habit, which I don't mind since it doesn't hurt..now.. >>;;

Currently:Maki isn't a bad mannered bunnix at all, she just has a bit of a temper problem, she gets into fights often due to it. It seems sort of like the Bunnix version of the terrible twos.

Those Maki is in care of.

Oni was the person that adopted Maki. He cares for her like a daughter. Fiercely protective, yet loving dad. Watch the horn.

Pennanik is Oni's Concept. He basically like Maki's uncle though he's sort of a bad influence on her as he often tries to teach her how to fight dirty.

Kami and Aja, two holographic beings that love to spoil Maki like a pair of aunts. They are barely around but they show up from time to time.

Toushin is Maki's second uncle. Despite his and Oni's bickering, Oni trusts Maki in his care completely.

Youkochylde is another uncle of Maki's He is witty and friendly. Oni think's he's aces and trusts him as well with Maki.

Karma is Oni's best friend. They run Fleeting Notions together and she's proven to be quite a good business partner as well as keep Oni in line. Despite her enjoyment of teaching Maki curse words, Oni trusts her.

Anyway, We got Maki home and let her explore the house. We made sure it was baby proofed the day before, and thankfully so. She seems to have taking a liking to my video game systems that are well out of her reach... Maybe someday I'll teach her how to play them. It could help to curb her temper. I think..

Aja and Kami dropped by later with gifts for Maki. Aja had gotten her a tank with some pretty frogs for her bedroom and Kami got her a singing toy kitty. She seemed quited enamored with them and sat by the tank for the longest time. We had a little party to welcome her to her new home. It was really nice. I think that she's going to like it here.

It took a little longer than expected but Penn was still standing outside of the vehicle as Oni and Maki made their way out. Oni trailed behind the young bunnix and either looked pleased at all.

"Why the long faces, chums?" Penn said hefting his 'neice' up into the crook of his lanky arm. "Did y' have a nightmare during nap time? Or was someone cheatin' at hide an' go seek?" He asked leaning his head back to look at her.
"Maki started a fight with another bunnix." Oni said before she could reply getting into the car without another word. Maki was rubbing at her eyes, obviously trying not to start crying again. Penn took her around to set her in her car seat and got into the driver's seat. The ride back home was quiet most of the way until Penn, being as he was smiled through the rearview mirror at Maki. "...S'did you set the lil wanker straight?" Oni glared over at him in disbelief. Maki smiled weakly up at him and nodded, "Yeah.. I.. I punched him in the face." came her soft reply.
"Good girl! Bet he'll think twice about doin' what he did aga--" Penn laughed, he winced as Oni brought his fist down on the armrest. "Pennanik." He said firmly. Being part of his thoughts, Penn didn't have to know what that meant. He nodded and went back to driving.

When they got home, Penn got out of the car after turning back to look at Maki, "Well, I still think you did the right thing." He said pointedly looking at Oni. Oni sighed as he looked for the right words to say slumping down in his seat. "Look Maki.. I don't want you to think I'm blaming you but I am upset you started that fight. There's always a time and a place for such things okay? I thought that maybe I could help you see that. Now, I'm not so sure. I might need a bit of help." He got out of the gar and helpped her out of her seat carrying her into the house.
"Maybe if I taught you how to fight honorably." He said, she looked up at him curiously.
"How are you going to do that?" She asked climbing down to the floor once they were inside, watching Oni hooking up his gaming machines and sifting though his fighting games. "You can't just rush headlong into fights. It's all about knowing the proper time to fight." He nodded and picked up his copy of street fighter and putting it in. He let the game start up and went to the character selection screen. "Okay.. so uh.. lets play pretend. Pick a character you want to be."

Maki smiled up at her uncle and squealed happily trying on her new gloves. Of course, they were too big for her now but she would grow into them surely. She hugged her uncle about the neck as best as she could and scampered off to put them in a safe place. "Thank you Uncle Toushin~!"

The writing on this page is a bit spaced out, you can almost see just how tired Oni was when he wrote it.

That I knew had to be Penn's doing. He'd know better than to show them to Maki, I'd like to think. She was wearing what looked like a Japanese school girl uniform and some red fighting gloves. Toushin's doing I bet.. Comes to find out, Penn thought that showing Maki my collections of Air Master, Naruto and Variatable Geo was a good idea. So good infact that he made her an outfit like the main character, who she was delighted to find out had the same name. Aieee.. Now she's on this kick to be the best martial artist in the world. Someone, help me..

There is a space down the page and the writing continues, a bit more neatly this time around.

She didn't want him to get away so she and so she held onto him tighter so he couldn't get away. Unfortunately, she squeezed the poor animal to death and didn't know it. She was being quiet because she didn't want to wake him up cause he 'fell asleep'.

I sat down next to her and explained that Kiri-Kiri wasn't sleep and what she had done to him. This being her first brush with death, but she did understand what I had been trying to tell her now and that she wanted even more to be the best. I was both amazed and proud of her for understanding that what she did was bad and that shew realized she must learn from it. So all in all, I helped her learn one fact of life and become a little more wiser. I'm so proud of her.
