Yesterday night while I was reading a book to Steph, thee lights suddenly blacked out!!!!I thought it was a power trip, but when I went to investigate with Steph in my arms, I realised that it was not because of a power trip, but in fact, the whole neighbourhood was in darkness!!!!! eek I went to light some candles while Steph cried in my arms. She finally stopped crying after I soothed her and when the saw the candles.I guess she likes candles, cause the next thing she did was to reach out for it!I managed to stop her in time before she got burnt by the flame. Babies can be so unaware of danger sometimes(duh). I softly tapped her to sleep, I wonder how she could sleep when the room was so hot!!! I was practically melting away!!! User Image

The lights finally came back up in an hour and me and my neighbours wooted and shouted for joy. User Image

So the whole power failure story has come to an end and I finally went to my air-conditioned room and had a wonderful night's rest. User Image

We watched birds perch on the tree branches, and that's when she said her first word--Birdie!!! *sniff* She's grown alot bigger now*sniff* And once, she was just a tiny lil insy weensy baby*Blows nose*. Anyway, we continued walking on the path and we saw some different colored flowers by the path, she started reaching out for them and sniffing them. I plucked one out, after seeing that no one was looking, and she kept smelling the whole way home. Guess she likes fragrant smells cause right after we went home, she reach for my perfume and tried putting it all over her!!!This is part of her vainty I guess... xd

It's been so long since I've posted, now to do an update on what went on during the time I wasn't here. Steph's started learning how to write her name now, she'll soon be able to write on this Journal herself. She learnt how to walk, much to my regret. Boy, I have to worry about whether she'll knock into something when she's running about the house. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Whoops, sorry, she just knocked into me and made the keyboard fly into the air.What the...................no Steph don't press that ESCkey..........

Today I took Stephanie to shop for her halloween costume. Steph wants a princess costume cause she wants to be like Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. Personal reminder: Do not let her watch such stories again! Why couldn't she just want a simple witch outfit, it would cost much cheaper than a pink fluffy princess costume!!!
