"Here Animal, animal, animal..." Ecavi cooed as she ran in circles around a tree, carrying a bowl of noodles. A cowboy hat atop her head, as there was on her companion.
"..." Deitsae stopped her running and watched as Ecavi tripped over her feet and just barely managed to save the noodles from toppling onto the ground. She also carried a bowl of noodles.
"You're doing it ALL wrong" Deitsae rolled her eyes playfully as she helped Ecavi up, "First, we must pay religious er...ya know. Worship the noodle gods."
Ecavi inspected her noodles carefully to make sure they had not been tainted by the earth's soil. "So. You mean we should run around the tree while
dancing?!"
Deitsae stared at Ecavi for a moment, coughed, and finally said, cracking a smile "Yes. Yes we do."
"Ye gods! Really?!" Ecavi bounced a little bit, some of her noodles spilling from her bowl- landing on the ground. "What about the noodles? We can't lose noodles!" She whined, looking down at the wasted noodles.
Deitsae looked at their bowls, the tree, then Ecavi,"Just don't bounce..?"
Ecavi stared back at Sae for a moment before seeming to really accept that as an answer.
Deitsae looked at her noodles in a contemplative matter, "I'm hungry....but I want aminals..." she sighed in a whine much like Ecavi's former. Ecavi seemed to ignore the childish switching of 'm' and 'n' int he word animal for she was too busy mourning the loss of the few noodles.
Deitsae patted Ecavi gently on the shoulder and looked about her, "Where are all the animals? I mean they should be
flocking t'wards us in a massive..FLOCKness.... but sadly there is none. All living things like noodles."
Ecavi sniffled and nodded, hugging her bowl of noodles, "...I want a squishy one to name squishy...."
After a few minutes of melodramatic whining, moping, and sobbing, Ecavi sighed and sniffed her noodles, "They smell like normal."
"Do they?" Deitsae said inspecting her own plain bowl of noodles. "...Maybe we should add stuff to 'em?"
Ecavi looked down at her noodles,"You mean like.. your cinnamon ramen?"
"JAH! But.." Deitsae sat down,"We don't have that with us."
"What do we have with us?" Ecavi plopped down beside Sae, her elbow hitting her friends knapsack. Both of them jumped, apparently forgetting that despite hyper spurts they weren' stupid enough to wander unprepared..
"Ye gods! I think I have it!" Ecavi exclaimed, grabbing the knapsack from Deitsae's back resulting in an odd entanglement of Deitsae's arms and the straps.
"AGH ...." Deitsae grunted as Ecavi finally got the knapsack off. "...are we going to put extra food in our noodles?"
"No shirt sherlock," Ecavi giggled excitedly at her curse word and pulled out some fish and carrots, "I have no clue why we carry around fish and carrots as a survival kit, but okay!"
"Is that all that's in there?" Deitsae blinked, "I thought I packed cake."
"You never pack cake," Ecavi sighed and shook her head. "There's not much else in here except some empty PEZ containers." She pulled out two plastic candy dispensers and waved them around in a random spurt of hyperness before getting back on track. "So, I guess all we have is carrots and fish..."
Deitsae pondered "hm...me wonders..."
Ecavi looked from the fish to the carrot and back again,"I don't like carrots."
Deitsae rolled her eyes and took the carrot,"Then have the fish," she said, sticking her tongue out playfully at Ecavi.
"I don't like fish either," Ecavi said, staring at the fish.
Deitsae grabbed the fish as well,giggling at the look Ecavi gave her for it, looking at her noodles,"Well, worth a try!" She said as she started breaking up the carrot as best she could without a knife(or other means).
Deitsae gingerly put the fish and carrots in her noodles, with some to spare. "There's nothing else, save some awsome lint in my pocket. Why don't you take the rest of the fish, nyeh?"
Ecavi sighed and repeated, "I don't like fish." she grabbed the remaining fish anyway and reluctantly put it in her noodles.
"I was thinking..." said Deitsae "animals, ya know, like stuff in the wild..." she kicked an acorn "like seeds and stuff. I wonder if those would work?"
Ecavi shrugged, "It's better than carrots." She bent down and picked up various seeds and nuts that had been lying on the ground and sprinkled those atop her noodles.
With their noodles now a little less plain, both girls stands up and look at the bowls. "Should we dance now?" Ecavi asked.
Deitsae cracked a wide grin and nodded.
They danced for several hours until their legs were heavy and their clothes were drenched with sweat.
"I give up," Deitsae said with a loud exhale.
"I..." Ecavi huffed and puffed in an attempt to keep her feet and arms in motion, but stopped, "..give up."
Both friends looked sad at their defeat, muttering whiningly about not getting animals.
"Bah." Deitsae said pessimistically and lied down in the grass.
Fatigue getting the better of Ecavi, she joined Deitsae on the grass- still muttering something about Squishy as she slowly drifted off into sleep. Deitsae couldn't be bothered to check if 'cavi was still awake, watching the sky she slowly drifted off as well... the bowls of noodles sitting, discarded, to the side..
Deitsae was the first to wake, eyes cloudy as she looked up at the sky- it was early in the morning, even though it had not been very dark when they fell asleep. Slowly sitting up, something fuzzy and grey caught her eye.
Letting out a soft squeal she shook Ecavi's arm. Sitting under the tree, holding the bowls of noodles, was a small bunny and bear- each with a strange little hat on. Deitsae shook Ecavi harder, trying to wake her.
When Ecavi finally forced her eyes open and sat up, she had a harder time containing herself upon noticing the animals. The bear was the first to walk over, poking Ecavi's arm- mimicing how Deitsae woke her up. The bunny followed him and stopped at Sae's feet, waving and smiling- clutching her bowl in one hand.
"omg!" Both of the girls squealed and hugged them.
