If you are new to Noodle Animals (or even old!) please take the time now to read through this front page. Important posts are mainly: Introduction, Information I & II, Availability, and F.A.Q., though other posts may have information on them that you might be looking for.

Welcome to Ecavi and Deitsae's Noodle Animals! A new version of an old breedable pet!

These animals are lured to you using Noodles, and various other ingredients mixed in the noodles. Most are rather small, standing around one foot high- though smaller animals, like rodents and insects tend to be smaller.

Despite being small animals, Noodle Animals tend to have big hearts, minds, and imaginations!

It is important that you read that and get in contact with Ecavi soon if you own an NA drawn by Deitsae that has yet to grow. If not contacted your NA will grow without your consent about Ecavi being the artist, and will have a generally happy look to them, as would be the case with anyone.

This also means the front page will have to be editted a fair bit, so please give Ecavi some time for that 3nodding The WHOLE front page needs updating, which 'cavi will do when she finds time!

Noodle Animals: Information I

This is Gred, he was the first Noodle Animal and as the first one to be tagged in the newest tag he shall be filling in for our mascot Ed the Example for the time being!

First thing you should know is the classification of the animals here. Gred is a Grizzly Bear (or Bear) who is wearing a Panda Bear (or Panda) hat. He would be classified as a Panda Noodle Bear. This is how it works: hat Noodle animal

The heart system that was previously in practice has been dropped. Roleplay is still important if you wish to have your Noodle Animal breed or for any benefits the shopkeepers decide to give out to those who are active.

Noodle Animals: Information II

You cannot simply buy a Noodle Animal. They are creatures with thoughts, and feelings- even with the ability to speak, despite seeming lack of proper intelligence/vocal cords. It would hurt them to simply be captured and sold, which is why they don't like being sold. This is also why you must lure them to you yourself, with a bowl of Noodles!

To attract an animal, you must purchase a bowl of noodles. Noodle Animas all adore noodles, and with some persuasion they just may come take yours and stick around. Since plain noodles are not very appetizing, there are other ingredients available for you to mix with them. What animal is attracted depends a lot on what you put in your noodles.

Note that you don't get to pick the artist that draws your NA when you purchase one, but Ecavi and Deitsae try to alternate. If one time you get Deitsae's style, and you buy another Noodle Animal, you will most likely get Ecavi's style for the other one.

Stages: Your Noodle Animal will go through three stages of growth. How they grow depends on how you receive your Animal. Let me explain!

Stage 1A: Bowl of Noodles

This is the stage most people will see for their Noodle Animal. When you come to the shop you purchase a bowl of noodles. It is not actually a stage of your animal, but it is where you start. The noodles are usually mixed with other ingredients in hopes of attracting certain kinds of animals.

Stage 1B: Baby

An alternate to a bowl of noodles is the baby stage, though the only way to get this is through breeding since most animals are born live. Also, it is not likely that a parent animal would allow an infant to wander off just for a bowl of noodles.

There are rare cases when there can be a stage before baby- that is egg. If the mother is an animal that would naturally lay eggs, then she will lay eggs. Even if the baby is a mammal, it starts off in it's mother and if it's mothers body puts them in eggs, then that's where they go! Considering there are very few female Noodle Animals that are birds, snakes, reptiles.. etc, this won't happen often.

Holly is our example for this, here she is a Caterpillar Noodle Vole.

Stage 2: Child

This is a new stage, and one that everyone will get. Your animal will come to you as a child, or adolescent. The image will be very general as to a personality, most will look happy or apathetic. The animal they are begins to mature as well, including the hat!

Now Holly is a Cocoon Noodle Vole.

exclaim To get your animal to grow into an adult, you must either roleplay to show their personality or PM TheHumanNoodle a description of their personality so it can atleast partially be shown in the drawing. If we don't get any idea of their personality and we feel it's time for them to grow, they may just get a plain looking image, or something opposite what you intended.

WHEN GROWING.. Items that are free to add are scarfs and bows. Any other items, such as clothes, we may have to charge for. Clothes would be like Gred's kilt, or Ellie's kimono. We will get contact you if any items you request for your animal require extra payment.

Q. "when you guys "feel that it is time for them to grow" means when you guys have time right? or is there a set amount of time?"

A. Sort of both- if the NA goes too long as a child, we will draw the adult animal however we wish. We won't leave any ungrown, even if the owner doesn't show up, since when we sell you an NA we are obligated to have it reach the final stage- as it is with most breedables, right? ^^

The only difference is the owner won't get as much of a say- an animal they would RP as shy may be drawn to look outgoing. Or an animal that is michevious might look ordinary. And there won't be any really interesting items on them.

Stage 3: Adult

This is the final stage of all Noodle Animals! They, and their hat, are fully mature and able to breed. The image now shows something of their personality.

Holly, now an adult, is a Butterfly Noodle Vole.

Upgrading from Pixel:

What: Your Noodle Animal can be draw full scale, by the artist that did it's pixel version. If you are unsure who did your pixel version, check the color beside your animals number on the ownerlist!
Make sure a slot is open before ordering!

Noodle Animals: Availability

Flatsale: How to
When a flatsale is planned, it will be announced and the date will be put in this post. How many bowls are available will be made clear before the flatsale. How a flatsale works is around a pre-scheduled time TheHumanNoodle will post an ok, or 'GO.' It'll be clear you can begin ordering, even if it requires reading.

After you have a bowl, you may start ordering food items to add to it.

Rules
1. Only 1 bowl per flatsale per person. You may not purchase one for you and one for your friend, just one.
2. Don't edit posts.
3. When ordering a bowl, just state that you would like a bowl. If you say that in time, you'll get one. For premixed bowls, you must state that you want the premixed bowl specifically.
4. Use common courtesy!

This is a very rare ingredient, and will not be in stock too often. When mixed with your noodles, it will make them very sparkly- ... you may lure a mythical animal.0 in stock

This is a very rare ingredient, and will not be in stock too often. When mixed with your noodles. You are almost certain to lure an animal known to be extinct, as feathers are not normally edible. 0 in stock

Premade Noodle Animals

Premade Noodle Animals are just like any other NA except you do not get to choose the ingredients, and the Noodle Animal that will come to you has already been drawn and determined.

Sometimes premade noodle bowls will have 'extra' ingredients that you cannot otherwise buy (for instance: alcohol -> pink elephant ). Be sure to read the description of the premade bowls to catch some clues at to what the premade animal will be!

To get a premade simply order it as you would with the rules listed above. First one to say something like: "I want premade bowl #1!" after Noodle sats "Go!" will get premade bowl #1.

Occasionally other items may be available to purchase to add to your noodles.

Ingredients may include things like spices- which have unknown effects but may be used on the noodles of an already-caught animal. Other ingredients appear in pre-mixed bowls, to hint at what may come from the bowl.

Hats may also be on sale from time to time. They can be equipped to an exsisting animal, saved for when you get your own animal or given to someone else as a gift- not sold.

Noodle Animals: Owners

Any with numbers in blue were drawn by Deitsae, and all in black were drawn by Ecavi, unless otherwise stated.

If the number is blue, when the pixel version is drawn into large version, Sae will be the artist. If black, then Ecavi. Only exception is that Ed the Example was drawn by Ecavi, while his pixel version was done by Deitsae.

Many of the pixel tags were deleted, as they never got recerted after the shop transferred management. Ecavi still has the pets saved, so if the owner shows up wishing to see their Animal she can still get it for them.

Noodle Animals: Shelter

Noodle Animal Shelter

The Noodle Animal Shelter is were previously owned NAs go when their owner leaves them.

Sometimes there are Noodle Animals that are injured and are put here to find an owner, other times, there are wild NAs found, and they're put here. These animals would not have had a previous owner.

This is where you come to sell your Noodle Animal. If you really wish to sell, your NAs owner heart will go down a bit for the new owner, but if you truly don't want your animal any more, then you should sell it. All selling and trading of NAs must be done in this thread, with consent from the shop owners. Otherwise, it is frowned upon (meaning we'd have to make a blacklist, which we don't want. Right?) Generally, we have hopes that those who get animals keep them.

Typically, you should only feel compelled to sell your Noodle Animal if you plan to leave Gaia. You can also trade your NA with another person's NA (supposedly because you like the other person's one better and vice-versa?), but the owner hearts will also go down of traded NAs.

When there are animals in the shelter, you have to ask Ecavi or Deitsae, and she'll tell you if you can adopt the animal in the shelter.

Noodle Animals: Breeding

If you have not done so already, go read the information about the components of a tag, or you won't know what I mean when I mention the mate heart.

So, you want your Noodle Animal to breed?

The best time for you to breed your Noodle Animal is when they are in love, and with their mate. The only way to achieve a mate is by roleplaying! The park exists for a reason, it's a good place for your animals to meet friends, or a mate.

Without the heart system in place, the decision will rest solely on the opinion of one of the shopkeepers. People who never come to the shop will not be allowed to breed their Noodle Animal. People who RP a lot and are active shop goers may be given discounts by the breeder.

Steps to take..

Well, first of all both owners must consent to the breeding. Roleplay repercussions are to be taken up with each other. After you've decided you want your animals to breed, see if there are any spots available.

Only Male/Female pairs may breed. These creatures give birth natural to the mother, that means live birth, or eggs. We do not use any form of technology that would be required to aid breeding between male/male and female/female pairs- sorry!

What to Expect

When your breeding has been accepted, you will have to wait a couple days, or a week. After a length of time, the babies will be born, or eggs will be laid. You may rp out the time before the babies officially arrive if you wish.

Animals, Birds and Snakes can all breed together. A turtle can breed with a rabbit, that's fine. It'd be too hard finding a same species pair for everyone. You can't help who you love.

Now, for babies, you can expect a wide variety of things. You don't know who your animals parents were, though you can assume two dogs gave birth to your dog, or whatever- either way, you can expect anything from your animal + different hat, your animal as the hat, or either parent, etc.. But, you also expect things way off.

For example, Lazarus and Snuffles were the first Noodle Animals to breed. Lazarus is a Grizzly Noodle Hamster, and Snuffles a Butterfly Noodle Mouse. They had three babies: Mokkan, Holly and Eve.
Mokkan is a Mouse Noodle Fox. That is the maternal animal for the hat, and something unrelated for the animal.
Holly is a Butterfly Noodle Vole. That is the maternal hat for her own hat, as well as something from the rodent family.
Eve is a Moth Noodle Hamster. She is insect hat, and paternal animal for her own species.

Breeding is the only way to see the baby stage.

Who is going to draw your animals children?

Currently Ecavi is the only person who will be drawing the babies.

What will it cost you?

Standard Breeder's fee: 15,000G [7,500g from each owner]

This may be subject to changes, depending on how active you are in the thread, how much you RP, how much the NAs like each other.. etc.

Noodle Animals: Park & Library

Noodle Animal Park

The Noodle Animal park has been around for almost the entire time the shop has been around. It is a commongrounds, where all Noodle Animals are welcome to go and play.

In the park is a slide, some swings, a sandbox, and a merry-go-round. There is also a forest on the edge of the park, with a lovely path through the edge of it. Though there are sometimes wild Noodle Animals seen around there. Aside from that, there is also free space to do with what you wish. Neiol, the Cat-Hat Noodle Cheshire has a small flower garden in the park, for example.

Events are held in the park from time to time, in which special or rare items may be won. The only way to participate in such events is to be a somewhat active in role playing at the park. Even though role playing is not required for Noodle Animals, it is greatly encouraged.

An important thing about the park is that there is a fountain near the middle. It has a natural water source, and a strange image of an angelic girl on the inside wall. There was also a ghost spotted in the park! Could it be related?

Noodle Animals: F.A.Q.

Can I have a Poodle Noodle Dragon?!
No. Telling me what you want won't get you what you want, infact it may make me go off on something completly opposite your request. The only time you get to decide is a custom auction. Which won't happen often. When you buy a bowl, just pick some ingredients that might fit what you want, it's very unlikely you'll get what you have in mind, but you should still be happy.

How many Noodle Animals can we have?
Well, let's see. I guess we won't stop you from owning as many as you like. Five animals is the suggested limit.

So, what if my NA breeds? Can't I keep a baby?
Even if you pass thesuggested limit, I'll say yes to keeping one of them per breeding. But it has to be ok with the your NA's partner's owner as well.

Will new owners still get pixel versions with their animals?
This is currently being determined. Odds are a pixel version will be done for all NAs, but they may not be tagged!

How Roleplay intensive are Noodle Animals?
(I know this answer isn't excactly thrown out in our posts, so I'll put it here). Noodle Animals do not recquire roleplaying however, it is GREATLY engouraged. Not only is it fun and something to do, but RP regulars will be able to participate in events and thus recieve special items only available through said events. There also might be an RP PLOT soon, which of course, only RPers get to participate in and recieve items from.

Another upside to RPing is that the artist will more than likely become very excited about and attached to you and your Noodle Animal. This means they will more likely put a bit more enthusiasm into making things for you and your NA than they would for non-RPers, and you may also recieve other benefits.

How many artists are there for Noodle Animals? Can I be a guest artist?
I think this is quite obvious if you just read the posts before this one, but here it goes: Currently only Ecavi draws and colors Noodle Animals. Should she need any help, there are people already chosen who would be asked <3

... However, we ADORE getting fanart of Noodle Animals ;3

Noodle Animals: The Discovery & History

The Discovery

"Here Animal, animal, animal..." Ecavi cooed as she ran in circles around a tree, carrying a bowl of noodles. A cowboy hat on her head, as there was on her companion.

"..." Deitsae watched as Ecavi tripped over her feet and just barely managed to save the noodles from toppling onto the ground. She also carried a bowl of noodles.

"You're doing it ALL wrong" Deitsae rolled her eyes playfully as she helped Ecavi up, "First, we must pay religious er...ya know. Worship the noodle gods."

Ecavi inspected her noodles carefully to make sure they had not been tainted by the earth's soil. "So. You mean we should run around the tree while dancing?!"

Deitsae stared at Ecavi for a moment, coughed, and finally said, cracking a smile "Yes. Yes we do."

"Ye gods! Really?!" Ecavi bounced a little bit, some of her noodles spilling from her bowl- landing on the ground. "What about the noodles? We can't lose noodles!" She whined, looking down at the wasted noodles.

Deitsae looked at their bowls, the tree, then Ecavi,"Just don't bounce..?"

Ecavi stared back at Sae for a moment before seeming to really accept that as an answer.

Deitsae looked at her noodles in a contemplative matter, "I'm hungry....but I want aminals..." she sighed in a whine much like Ecavi's former. Ecavi seemed to ignore the childish switching of 'm' and 'n' int he word animal for she was too busy mourning the loss of the few noodles.

Deitsae patted Ecavi gently on the shoulder and looked about her, "Where are all the animals? I mean they should be flocking t'wards us in a massive..FLOCKness.... but sadly there is none. All living things like noodles."

Ecavi sniffled and nodded, hugging her bowl of noodles, "...I want a squishy one to name squishy...."

After a few minutes of melodramatic whining, moping, and sobbing, Ecavi sighed and sniffed her noodles, "They smell like normal."

"Do they?" Deitsae said inspecting her own plain bowl of noodles. "...Maybe we should add stuff to 'em?"

Ecavi looked down at her noodles,"You mean like.. your cinnamon ramen?"

"JAH! But.." Deitsae sat down,"We don't have that with us."

"What do we have with us?" Ecavi plopped down beside Sae, her elbow hitting her friends knapsack. Both of them jumped, apparently forgetting that despite hyper spurts they weren' stupid enough to wander unprepared..

"Ye gods! I think I have it!" Ecavi exclaimed, grabbing the knapsack from Deitsae's back resulting in an odd entanglement of Deitsae's arms and the straps.

"AGH ...." Deitsae grunted as Ecavi finally got the knapsack off. "...are we going to put extra food in our noodles?"

"No shirt sherlock," Ecavi giggled excitedly at her curse word and pulled out some fish and carrots, "I have no clue why we carry around fish and carrots as a survival kit, but okay!"

"Is that all that's in there?" Deitsae blinked, "I thought I packed cake."

"You never pack cake," Ecavi sighed and shook her head. "There's not much else in here except some empty PEZ containers." She pulled out two plastic candy dispensers and waved them around in a random spurt of hyperness before getting back on track. "So, I guess all we have is carrots and fish..."

Deitsae pondered "hm...me wonders..."

Ecavi looked from the fish to the carrot and back again,"I don't like carrots."

Deitsae rolled her eyes and took the carrot,"Then have the fish," she said, sticking her tongue out playfully at Ecavi.

"I don't like fish either," Ecavi said, staring at the fish.

Deitsae grabbed the fish as well,giggling at the look Ecavi gave her for it, looking at her noodles,"Well, worth a try!" She said as she started breaking up the carrot as best she could without a knife(or other means).

Deitsae gingerly put the fish and carrots in her noodles, with some to spare. "There's nothing else, save some awsome lint in my pocket. Why don't you take the rest of the fish, nyeh?"

Ecavi sighed and repeated, "I don't like fish." she grabbed the remaining fish anyway and reluctantly put it in her noodles.

"I was thinking..." said Deitsae "animals, ya know, like stuff in the wild..." she kicked an acorn "like seeds and stuff. I wonder if those would work?"

Ecavi shrugged, "It's better than carrots." She bent down and picked up various seeds and nuts that had been lying on the ground and sprinkled those atop her noodles.

With their noodles now a little less plain, both girls stands up and look at the bowls. "Should we dance now?" Ecavi asked.

Deitsae cracked a wide grin and nodded.

They danced for several hours until their legs were heavy and their clothes were drenched with sweat.

"I give up," Deitsae said with a loud exhale.

"I..." Ecavi huffed and puffed in an attempt to keep her feet and arms in motion, but stopped, "..give up."
Both friends looked sad at their defeat, muttering whiningly about not getting animals.

"Bah." Deitsae said pessimistically and lied down in the grass.

Fatigue getting the better of Ecavi, she joined Deitsae on the grass- still muttering something about Squishy as she slowly drifted off into sleep. Deitsae couldn't be bothered to check if 'cavi was still awake, watching the sky she slowly drifted off as well... the bowls of noodles sitting, discarded, to the side..

Deitsae was the first to wake, eyes cloudy as she looked up at the sky- it was early in the morning, even though it had not been very dark when they fell asleep. Slowly sitting up, something fuzzy and grey caught her eye.

Letting out a soft squeal she shook Ecavi's arm. Sitting under the tree, holding the bowls of noodles, was a small bunny and bear- each with a strange little hat on. Deitsae shook Ecavi harder, trying to wake her.

When Ecavi finally forced her eyes open and sat up, she had a harder time containing herself upon noticing the animals. The bear was the first to walk over, poking Ecavi's arm- mimicing how Deitsae woke her up. The bunny followed him and stopped at Sae's feet, waving and smiling- clutching her bowl in one hand.
"omg!" Both of the girls squealed and hugged them.

Why do they wear hats?

Where the heck did Deitsae and Ecavi get the idea to use noodles to catch animals?
