Well, what poems do I offer, anyway? Here is a list of them, plus definitions so you could know what they are. Don't worry, you're not the first one to not understand what they mean!


ninja Haiku: A Japanese poem written in three lines of five, seven, and then five syllables. This is often used for describing nature.

ninja Limerick: A humorous, nonsense poem that contains five lines, with the rhyme scheme: aabba (I'll tell you what a rhyme scheme is later on)

ninja Elegy: A poem of grief, sadness, or death

ninja Sonnet: A 14-line poem written in iambic pentameter, with a rhyme scheme

ninja Shakespearean Sonnet: A sonnet that has three quatrains and one couplet, with the rhyme scheme: abab cdcd efef gg, or abba cddc effe gg

ninja Persona Poem: A poem that decribes the person's loves, fears, etc.


These are some of the vocabulary terms:

ninja Rhyme scheme~ a pattern of rhyming lines in a poem or in lyrics for music (It is usually referred to by using letters to indicate which lines rhyme)

ninja Iambic pentameter~ A line of poetry containing 5 metric feet, or 10 syllables, and containing unstressed and stressed syllables

ninja Quatrain~ A group of four lines in a sonnet

ninja Couplet~ A group of two lines in a sonnet

ninja Octave~ A group of eight lines

ninja Sestet~ A group of six lines

ninja Is there any optional things I can add to the poem?
.........♥ You can order some of the poems as acrostics. An acrostic is where a word or words are read when you put the first letter of every line together. Specifically, this is my talent, but I can create poems without it. You can NOT order an acrostic with a haiku, limerick, or a persona poem, so DON'T ask!

~Haikus~
Cost: 470 gold

As I said before, haikus are Japanese poems that have the standard 5-7-5 syllable structure. Some other haikus, though, doesn’t have the 5-7-5 structure, but still has the 17 syllables. These poems usually describe nature. I’m not as good as making haikus as other poems, but I’ll try my best. Here are some haiku’s that I’ve made:

5-7-5 structure:
The breeze blows past me,
Whistling happily past,
Thinking of the day.

17 syllables:
Poison ivy sits alone,
And waits for something to fall in its trap.

Funny (sort of) haiku:
Cookies fresh and good,
I walk to class holding them,
But John steals them all!

~Limericks~
Cost: 480 gold

Limericks are funny poems that have five lines. The first, second, and fifth line rhyme together, and the third and fourth line rhyme together. The standard is 9-9-6-6-9 (I use the 8-8-6-6-8, but I can do both) syllables, and the first line usually tells the name of a place or a person. These limericks usually tell a story, but a short one at that.

A quite famous example:
There was an old man from Peru,
who dreamed he was eating his shoe.
He awoke in the night
with a terrible fright,
and found out that it was quite true.

Here’s one of mine:
There was a little girl named Lin,
who wanted to play games and win,
She beat the girls and boys
and got all of their toys,
But felt guilt because of her sin!

~Short Poems~
Cost: 490 gold

Short poems are just regular poems, but they only have up to 10 lines. These poems are probably the ones that I can do the best, especially if they are acrostic poems. Here's one I've made on the spot:

An acrostic poem:

Darkness creeps through your eyes,
Reality fades as it controls your mind,
Every now and then, images of death flash,
And then you'll fell like you'll crash.
Millions of accidents seem to happen to you,
Soon, you could die in your dreams, too.

Short Poem Form:

Elegys are basically poems that are used for mourning. I'm being a lazy bum, so I'm just doing acrostic poems that reflect on a person's life and how it wouldn't be life without it. I'll probably use the person's name for the poem, if you want it to. Here's one for my best friend, even though she didn't die or anything like that... biggrin

To Bethany:

Best at heart, manga, and such,
Everyone seems to love her very much.
The wolf girl of fire and air,
Howls and chuckles without a care.
And when her heart makes its last beat,
Never again will life be so sweet,
Yearning for her, I will give her my love and care.

Elegy Form:

~Custom Sonnets~
Cost: 550 gold

Sonnets are poems that are 14 lines long, and has iambic pentameter. There are two main ones, but unlike a custom sonnet, they have pre-set rhyme schemes. There are four parts to a sonnet: the first four lines are the main idea, next four lines is the examples/ details supporting the idea, next quatrain is the conflict, and the last two lines are the solution part, or conclusion. Because Italian sonnets are hard to write, I'll only write Shakespearean and custom sonnets. Hope you understand! biggrin

A custom sonnet:

Felicia is a small baby girl,
I love her as a dancer loves to twirl,
She can be cranky and snotty at times,
Still, I think she is sweet and very fine.
She hugs me and cheers me up when I’m sad,
Sometimes, she plays with me, and then I’m glad,
She is very cute, hugging me a lot,
She’ll blow at her food if it is too hot!
Like all babies do, she can make a mess,
She will cry if she wants but cannot get,
If we don’t play, she becomes a big brat,
Loving her is hard when she’s in a mood like that!
So how can I love a baby like this?
It’s because she’s sweet as a mother’s kiss.

Shakespearean sonnets are regular sonnets, but with the standard abab/cdcd/efef/gg rhyme scheme format. It still has the four parts, and the iambic pentameter. So really, it's not much different from a regular custom sonnet. This one is for my wacky friend:

To Rebecca (Miharu) Tengoku:

Role-playing and manga is what she loves,
Extra-special friendship lies within her,
Best for weirdness, yet pure as a white dove,
Even she’s a girl with friends forever.
Candy for sweetness is what she’s made of,
Casts and roles, acts for scenes, role-plays with friends,
Anime is like heaven from above,
This girl would fight if Japanese fads end.
Even a girl like her has a bad side,
Nevertheless, her side is her weirdness,
Gazing and talking to walls, she confides.
Other than that, how can she be the best?
Kind like an angel, weirdness is unique,
Unless you’re rude, you can see that she’s neat.

Persona poems are probably one of the most fun poems to create, because it's all about a person, which is probably you or a friend. There are eight lines, and each line tells something different, like one tells about your favorites, and another tells about your fears. These poems can't be acrostics, even if they're eight letters, because I can't form them into the standards if they're that way. This poem is for TheSimsFan1, who is a regular (or something like that) in Stonewalz's shop.

To TheSimsFan1:

TheSimsFan1 is this poem’s main girl,
She is interactive, hyperactive, loving, and kind,
Chris, her boyfriend, loves her like a pearl,
Loving him and pets, volunteering for work she doesn’t mind.
Yet she fears needles, strangers, and darkness,
Wanting to be a singer and meet Jesse McCartney at Disney,
She wishes to be a millionaire, confident, and have smartness,

The Meaning of Life:

What is life’s mysterious meaning?
Is it so God can feel truly believing?
Maybe it’s because death can be full of peace,
Like souls that are put at ease.
Or if it’s because we’re puppets in a show,
One battle that’s meant to make the world blow.
Still, life could be meant for love,
Where it soars in our hearts as a pure white dove.
If so, then why is there suffering and pain?
Does that mean there’s nothing to gain?
Maybe there’s life so we could learn to give,
Instead of being like an ungrateful pig.
Life can be full of everything and nothing at all,
So why is life and death like an invisible wall?

"Why did you create this shop anyway?" you may wonder...Well, I created this shop because if two reasons:

ninja I love creating poems in my spare time, and Stonewaltz loves to creates graphics, so we desided to blend the two talents and create this shop!

ninja We both have quests for Gaia, and playing games can be boring, so this shop helps us reach our goals!

For me, I have a simple wishlist (that Stonewaltz created) that are all collectibles, and some other random items that I just thought were nice.

Stonewaltz has a better goal. Most of the gold she earns will go to her quest for 1 million Pink Carnations. ONE MILLION, PEOPLE!!! This woman is a determined quester.
