Yes, I am Serenity Pax, but most call me Pax, and I am a literate, mainly advanced. I'm tired of searching through five hundred roleplays that a not literate or interesting; so I decided to start this thread. I'm in search of literate roleplayers and roleplays. I'm looking for interesting plots; roleplays without the cookie-cutter characters; literate players; without mary-sues, gary-stues, power players, and god-moders; no way over the top plots or over dramatic characters; and long term roleplays. (Yes I know this sentence is full of grammatical errors, but it was the only way top make my list make sense.) I am willing to join roleplays as well as start one with some help.

Definitions

Literate Roleplaying- Literate roleplaying means that the posts are done with proper grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling. I'm not talking about perfection here, just decent attempts. Literate posts are interesting and detailed, they are done in paragraphs and written as if they are out of a story. I don't mean that the posts are novels, just decent length paragraphs and posts not written with *actions*. Literate posts don't have to be done in color or in size nine font.

Cookie-Cutter Characters- These are typical overdone, bland, dry, and flat characters that are the same in all roleplayers. They are usually stereotypes and are very stale and boring. They have nothing special or unique about them to make them special. They are no fun to play or to roleplay with.

Mary-Sue- This is a perfect female character. She is the most popular girl, the prettiest, the richest, but she is not stuck up. Every boy has a crush on this character and she has a crush on every boy. She is typically thin, but not too skinny, an athelete (Cheerleading captian), blonde with blue eyes. (I have played the Cheerleading squad captian, but my character is never like this.)

Gary-Stue- This is a perfect male character. He is the most popular boy, the star player of many atheletic teams, loved by all the girls, but not stuck up. However being very confident is typical. He is typically tall and well built. Most of the time the "six pack" abs are stressed. As with the Mary-Sue, this character will be the best at everything.

Power-playing/God-moding- This usually applies to medieval fantasy, roleplays where battles take place, and any roleplay involving fights. It is when you create a charater so powerful that it cannot be defeated or harmed in anyway. This also involves auto-hitting and auto-kills. These characters generally just tick everyone playing with them off.

Over the top- Over the top plots and characters are characters and plots that are just too much. They are so impossibly complicated and complex that it is extremely difficult to participate in them or with them.

Over Dramatic- Over dramatic characters are what I call attention whore characters. They either have horrible pasts that affect their lives so much they cannot function, but won't talk about it or have the "Everybody hates me, I hate myself, I just want to die" syndrome that makes all the characters pity them. They usually go overboard with crying and such, their creators will get angry with people who have characters who do not rush to their characters. They also pull stunts like entering covered in blood and dying.

What I'm looking for:

Long term roleplays
Multi-player roleplays full of interaction.
Players who post often and keep the roleplay alive
A little conflict (characters who are not the same as mine and have problems with my character's personality or attitude make things fun)
Good ooc conversation. (I don't like to roleplay with people who hate me)
OOC conversation that doesn't interrupt the flow of the roleplay (OOC is cool just not when the roleplay stops for it.
A little action (I don't want just boring conversation)
Romance is cool (As long as it isn't the only thing involved)

3nodding Modern fantasy (Sci-fi is not too bad)
3nodding Regular medieval stuff (Usually I'm some kind of princess)
3nodding Regular modern day stuff (I will not play anyone under the age of eighteen or above 22 or 23.)
smile Hospital (Fair warning, I have not seen Grey's Anatomy or House, though eventually I plan to, so I cannot do those roleplays.)
eek heart Chinese Zodiac (I play the dragon)
heart cool CSI (I can play Catherine or Sarah, and I'm quite fond of my original character. I can do all original, like as in in another place, or Vegas... Just talk to me about it.)
heart cool Scientists (Difficult to explain, but I'm kind of thinking some sort of field research thing where they are in the jungle or rain forest living with tribe of people.)
heart Medical Investigators (This is basically hospital related and involves a team of doctors who investigate epidemics and outbreaks in the US.)
smile 3nodding Spies (Obvious what I'm talking about here now isn't it.)
cool heart Relic Hunters (A company who works to locate mystical and magical relic as well as historical artifacts)

Roleplays I refuse to do:

Animals in general.
Wolf
Anthro
Servant/slave
Anime that I have never heard of or seen.
Yuri/ Yaoi- I don't mean to be offensive, I just don't do that. I'm nopt saying I won't do it if it is in the rolplay at all. I mean that if that is what the roleplay is strictly revolving around)
Roleplays based on popular video games such as FF and KH
Anything too over the top

Roleplays I can't bring myself to do: (Subject to change)

Harry Potter-Trio Era (It's not that I hate it, it's just that I can't do it since reading the 6th book. It is way too sad, and I'm sort of angry enough at Snape to kill him. If I change my mind I play all years, but only Hermione Granger.)
1-on-1 Sorry but I tend to get rather bored with them lately.

Current Cravings

DRoP- I've got sort of a plot and I play the main Weyrwoman. I will love you forever if you have one or would like to create one with me.
Marauders Era seventh year and First War- I'm itching to play Lilikins again.
CSI- Not sure why, but I've got a serious craving for some CSI.
Geisha- Finished reading the book again for the third time and finally saw the movie. Now I want to roleplay with my mad Geisha skills.
Scientist- I just watched Medicine Man again and loved it as always. So yeah that explains the craving.
