Welcome to Glitter's Avatar Contest. I hate to be a hardass, but if you want to join, you MUST read this entire post. Do it.
* Entry fee is 1g. ONE GOLD. Do not post saying you wish to join, and do NOT PM me. Simply send me a trade for 1g. This will keep things less hectic, lol, as well as keep things fair.
* Prize is 2k. Not much, but hey, THE ENTRY FEE IS 1G.
* The winner and the runner-up each get 10 tickets for my monthly lotto. I run a Sealed Envelope lotto every month, and as a 2nd place prize for this contest, I will give free tickets for the month's raffle. If tickets sales are closed for the month, the runner-up in this contest will receive tickets for the next month's raffle instead. Total worth of this prize is 250g, but it will not be awarded in pure gold.
* There will be 5 contestants. Everyone's welcome! The winner will be the first to reach 15 votes.
* If I canceled your trade, and slots were open... it means someone else was quicker than you. Sorry, only 5 slots are available, if you didn't make it in time, try again next week. Subscribe!
* Contest will be held once a week. Sunday is my only guaranteed day off of work, so I will hold the contest then, at whatever time I happen to get online. That way I don't have to worry about missing the winning vote, plus I have time between contests to earn more gold.
* Names will be hidden until voting. Just because. It's harder for me that way, but seems more fair, right?
* Regarding repeat entrants: I have no problem with letting a previous contestant enter again in a later week, with at least some minor changed to their avatar. However, if you're in my contest 2 weeks in a row, I'll have to ask you to take the next week off, to give everyone else a better chance at getting in. Also, if you've won 1st place in a previous week, please let 3 weeks pass before entering again.
That's the easy stuff. Now, the RULES. I will know if you haven't read them.
* I will not hold slots. I realize you'll probably forget about this contest by next week, and that's exactly why I'm not holding your slot for a week. If voting is happening when you happen to stumble on this thread, subscribe to the thread, because I won't be opening any slots when voting is up. Slots will be filled only on the same Sunday they will be voted for.
* If you're in the competition, bump if you can. Yeah, you probably have a life outside of Gaia. But you know what? I do too. That's why I can't sit here all day trying to bump. This is the Chatterbox, it only takes a few seconds for a thread to fall off the front page. I can't keep it up there alone! This is a big part of why I won't hold slots for people, since I don't even know for sure that they'll be online.
* Don't beg for votes. You will have one warning. It is not acceptable for you to come into this thread and ask for votes. It is also not acceptable for you to get a friend or mule to do it. If you continue after you have received your warning, you will be disqualified, no questions asked. Meaning, if your avatar places first, it won't matter, and voting will continue until someone else wins.
* Don't send a trade if slots are full. I'm sorry, but all trades sent when slots are full will be canceled. Subscribe to the thread. I don't have a constant gold supply, so I won't be able to have a new round immediately after each round is finished. Reserving slots is a no-go, if you want a chance at the 2k, subscribe and keep checking back.
* No TekTeks. Only current avatars. I will go to your profile and save your avatar as soon as I accept your trade.
* Mules=cheating. Don't enter with more than one account, and don't use your mules to vote, please. It's unfair.
* Don't beg. Posting your current quest/donation list spam message will result in DELETION.
* Don't advertise. I run my own lotto, if anyone's gonna advertise, it'll be me. If that's all you're here for, GTFO.
