KINGDOM HEARTS IV: FACTION XIII
STORY
User Image

Faction XIII has fallen,
Organization XIII has proven untrustworthy, and must therefore be thought of as an enemy.
A new Covenant has arisen, consisting of Faction's heartless...
and many are dead.
Now, the remaining Factors must find each other, and uncover a way of survival against the odds.
But how long can a Nobody play against the rules of existance before the unthinkable-
a dusk
takes form in it's place?

And UPDATE:
Faction XIII has already battled Organization XIII:
The individual confrontations were as follows-
Azikeal vs. Xemnas
Ezli vs. Xigbar and Saix
Gazlon vs. Luxord
Zannan vs. Zexion
Jazlynn vs. Marluxia and Larxene

(Axel, Roxas, Xigbar, and Marluxia will all (as far as I know) be re-joining forces wih the Faction).

Azikeal's aura faded gently into the night air, trailing behind her as she walked.
The streets of her new home, once infested with Heartless, now seemed all too empty in comparison.
A paled hand reached out from beneath dirtied cotton, grazing the wall of a nearby building in an adolecent fashion...
her footsteps dissapearing behind her.
Stopping abruptly, Azikeal tilted her head upwards,
catching glimpse of a full and seemingly crying moon...

"Kingdom Hearts..."
The femme's hand reached above her head, grasping at the distant star.
"I don't want it anymore! Take it back!"
Without so much as waiting for a response, Azikeal lowered her arm...
and began to walk away.
...it never answered her, anyway...
Deep in the bowels of what had once been the home of Organization XIII, a lone figure was bent over a piece of paper with various bumps on it. Closer inspection would reveal it to be Braille; this man was blind. Dark bandages were wrapped around his head, completely obsuring his face, but that did not seem to hinder him in the slightest. In addition, from the way his coat is hanging, it is immediately obvious that his left arm is missing. A vague mumbling could be heard coming from his lips in a raspy, cold voice.
"... quintic root of theta is two point three seven five nine over the cosecant of coordinate x times coordinate y over coordinate z, all times coordinate w, and that comes out to..." He appeared to be in thought, though it was hard to tell in the dim light. "ninety-two point nine two seven zero one... DAMMIT!" he pounded his fist on the table, and the pice of paper exploded in a shower of sparks.
"So near and yet so far, the wrong equation or the wrong variables, and I can't breach the barrier and..." he paused, as if listening to something, then laughed. "Don't be ridiculous Lex, it couldn't possibly be that!" He turned, facing the door of the room.
"WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT INTERRUPTIONS?! GET OUT!" The man tackled the door, beating an invisible opponent, before shrinking away from the door like a frightened cat.
"... tuh'd rind sa, tuh'd gemm sa, e teteh'd sayh ed..."
There was a brief pause. The man made a derisive snort. "Go away, eteud, I have work to do!" he grabbed a crutch and left the room, hobbling out as though his legs didn't work properly. The door slammed shut, and a picture fell to the floor. It had once contained a young, smiling man with wavy brown hair that reached his shoulders, carrying a beautiful, smiling girl of about six on his shoulders. Next to them would have been a gorgeous redhead, looking at the two with the expression of a mother's love written on her face. But now the picture had been cannibalized, the words 'Lex', 'Elena', 'Shai', 'failure', and 'revenge' scribbled over and over again in bright red ink all over it.
Once upon a time, he had answered to Gazlon the Game-Master, or even Gramps, but now he was neither of sound mind or body to do so.
He was called the Chronos Dementia for a reason, and though it wasn't a nice or happy one, it was the truth.
The paranoid, schizophrenic shell of the once benevolent man headed up to the Altar of Naught, thinking that a walk was all he needed to concentrate.

((I understand that that was horrible. I'm sorry, I'm trying to get into the new Gazlon feel. Give me a few days and I'll have the insanity down.))
A cloaked figure was wondering through the second District of Traverse Town. Underneath the hood one sapphire colored eye was visable along with black and dark violet bangs. The figure stopped walking as he turned around to slash away some sneaky little Heartless. While slashing, his hood fell and soon revealed a young man not much older than seventeen or eightteen.
Zanan had strayed long enough, he thought that it was best to return back to the Faction, but then again, wondering around had it's adventages which he surely didn't want to give away by going back. He shook his head as he started to walk again, this time towards the first District where it was save and where the world exit was. Maybe he should check out Castle Oblivion...search up Ezli and see if she was alright. It had been quite some months after their battle... a hand reached up and brushed the long bangs in front of one eye away, allowing the light of the moon to trail over his scarred face, he would never forget what Zexion had done to him nor what Anna had done...he would make sure that Heartless would pay for what he did, that he was sure.

Indulgent Star

Curious aquamarine eyes watched small fluffy white snowflakes fall from a grey sky in the great big world beyond the glass window. Hot, sticky breath clashed against the cold glass to taint it with fog. A dead laugh resounded from the femme at the magnificent scenery of a cold November morning. She walked away from the window and steadily made her way to a mirror hanging on her wall. She picked up a brush and steadily ran it though her short wavy black hair, taking the time to reacquaint herself with her different appearance. Her hair had been black for about a week and a half now but it still seemed foreign to her. A quick knock on the door dragged the woman away from her reflection and caused her to focus on the muffled voice just outside her room.

“Lynn?”

The girl rolled her eyes and briskly strode over to the door. She pulled it open to see her mother standing in the hallway. Irritation swept throughout the femme causing her posture to change. She shifted her weight onto her left foot and placed her left hand on her hip, right arm dangling at her side.

“I am to be called Jazlynn, is that clear, Maria? Now what do you want?” She snapped bitterly.

“I just wanted to see if you were going to go to school today…” Maria responded quietly.

Jazlynn sneered at the woman before replying. “Of course I’m going to school because you know how much I just love it, dearest mother.”

Without letting her mother say another word, Jazlynn slammed her bedroom door shut and walked back to her mirror. She looked at herself with satisfaction as a thought formed in her head. Before she had always taken the crap that her mother had given her but now it was as if she was in charge. It was almost as if her mother was scared that she was going to get beaten for a change. Jazlynn was exceedingly keen on this revelation.

With not but a few moments to spare, Jazlynn had fastened her belt around her waist and had strapped both her gun and dagger to it. She slipped her black hoodie over her head and grabbed the silver cross lying beside her pillow. As she exited the room, she slipped the chain around her neck and concealed the cross beneath her sweater. Her mother was no longer in the hallway with Jazlynn found herself thankful for. She headed down the stairs and headed towards the front door. She slipped on her boots and went out the door without saying a word to her mother.
Ezli paced down the road in Twilight town. She was feeling restless again, not being able to stay in one place. The eternal Twilight had become suffocating. She missed the stars, among other things. She kicked a trash can lightly, causing it to crush against a wall. She winced at the noise and continued walking.

She was heading to the beach. It seemed to be one of the only small freedoms she had left. She paid for a ticket and got on the train, nervously checking her surroundings before getting on the train. She then continued to pace on the train. There wasn't anyone else on, it was to late at 'night', or early in the morning, however you looked at that.

Finally the train trip was over. Ezli hopped out, looking around again before taking off quickly. She 'hastened' to the beach and grinned slightly when she saw a tall figure.

"Hey old man!" She called out, not caring who heard her at this point.
The elder man looked up, shoving his hands deep into his coat pockets as he walked toward the Twisted Truth.
"Hey, kid."
He stopped short of her, throwing an arm into the air, as a sign of greetings.
A smug smile following in toe.
The waves breached, white-caps beating against the sea as Xigbar, the Freeshooter, wrapped a comforting arm across Ezli's shoulder.

Roxas stumbled from the remnants of his portal, barely escaping as the darkness consumed what was left of the energy signature.
The heartless were growing...becoming steadily more powerful.
He could feel it.
As the blond-haired youth moved from his position, he spotted a form in the distance, squinting.
Squinting.
Until familiar slouch and fiery red-hair could finally be distinguished against the horizon-
after so long....
after so ******** long.
And Roxas smiled, cupping his hands around his mouth to amplify his voice.
"HEY! LOSER!"
Ezli allowed herself to be embraced. "What' up Xiggy?" She said, wrapping an arm around him. "Thanks for actually showing up this time." Ezli joked slightly, pushing him a bit.
"We going to look for the others again tonight?" Ezli said, looking up at him. "Have to be back before the adults wake up though. They like to think everything has gone back to normal." She finished, looking out onto the water.

Axel nearly jumped out of his skin upon hearing that voice.
"Roxas?!" He said in surprise before almost being crushed by the young man.
"Holy s**t-Roxas?!" He stuttered, holding the young mans face an inspecting it.
"Holy mother f-" He said, stopping himself before crushing the young man in a hug. "I thought you were...Sora was...holy damn." He managed to get out before letting go of the young man.
Phaze sat in his little dark corner like he did everyday now. The room around him was barely lit. A single candle burned on each of the four walls. The shadows liked it more this way, and so did he. It didn't make much of a difference. He couldn't tell color from color anymore. Shades of grey, white, and black embued his vision. A desk lay to his left with a chair and several pens and paper. The chair he sat in, and a bed for rest. A knock on the door. "Yes?"

Sakura popped her body in quickly, the light from the other rooms bothering her 'father' and his shadows so easily. She hated seeing him like this. Hollow, space-minded, and dark. She had to hold back tears at his frailer and sicker appearance. "I just wanted to ask if you'll be heading out again tonight." She was worried. His physical energy drained so quickly. But he had his shadows to carry him.

Phaze remained quiet for a moment. He turned a bit away, but not so much to make it look like scorn but rather questioning. So many months had gone by. No luck in any of his searches. Then again, where the hell was he? Ah, right. In a small abandoned village on the outskirts of Port Royal. Here, he conducted weekly searches for his former comrades. He was never able to reach them. "I... don't think so. Not tonight." He plied solemnly, giving her a weak fake smile. She nodded and left. Phaze gave a heavy sigh. "What... to do."
