-to Riverdog Rock, the central home of all Riverdogs. Riverdogs are happy water creatures that dwell in the land of the Water Sprites. Resembling small otters, Riverdogs can swim very fast and can breathe underwater through the magic of the Lady Water Sprite, Kaveri.

Similar to otters, they are able to close their noses and ears while underwater. On top of that, they have special eyes that have a protective layer that slides over them as they go underwater to help them see while underwater without difficulty. Riverdogs were, in a sense, created by the Lady Water Sprite Kaveri to help her connect with her creatures.

Riverdogs can, unlike any other creatures in the land of the Water Sprites, speak both beast-speak and sprite-speak. They are the link between the common creatures and those that created them.

t h e . s t o r y
The Riverdogs have not been around forever. Their existance began when the Lady Water Sprite Kaveri began to loose touch with her creatures. You see, Lady Kaveri is the creature and the guardian of all water dwelling creatures. It was her that made them, thought them up, even their names. Every single one, magical or non.

Not all creatures know of Kaveri. She stays in the land of the Sprites at all time, watching over the Sprites that are bound to that world. The Riverdogs were created as her personal messengers to travel between the two worlds, and are very high up in her favor. In fact, they are the highest. She has appointed many Riverdogs to a higher ranking that others, such as Demi-God/Godesses of certain domains that she had trouble watching over.

Riverdogs are not all good. Some have become corrupted - evil somehow. No one is sure why, but these corrupted Riverdogs are not looked down on by Kaveri. Some say she encouraged them to come out, because she more than anyone understands the need for a balance between good and evil, ying and yang. Due to the necesity of that balance, a much more holy version has begun to appear. The most prominant type is, predictably, the original Riverdogs. Kaveri has done her best to keep them seperated by creating each of them their own place to call their owns, with a peacable middleground.



n . p . c
The Lady Water Sprite, Kaveri, is the creater of the Riverdogs. She, also, is the one who decides who to send them home with. If she couldn't send them home with mortals, they would never make it to that world. Her pale, silvery skin is said to have come from her ability to hold her breath underwater as long as she wishes. The blue in her eyes is so light, so icy that it seems to represent water's frozen form. Long, flowing purple hair is pulled into a high pony tail, convident to keep out of her way when she is in the water. Out of the pony tail are large, spiraling curls that come down to her waist. A few purple curls are loose around her hair line, spiraling around to frame her delicate face. Her clothing, ever the same, is a sky blue sarrii wrap around her breasts with a skirt made of the same, flowing material that never seems to end, melting into the ground. Drapped over her top is a silver shall that sparkles constantly. She has the characteristic wings of a Water Sprite, but much large to carry around her larger body. Her body is not large, just human sized. Compared to a human ,she is rather thin and frail. In the center of her forehead is a single silver diamod gem that gives off a shine of ice.

g e n e r a l . r u l e s
1. No begging, whining, fighting, flaming. BE NICE.
2. No drama in the thread. This is a major No-No that can result in banning.
3. No giving away any pets without permission from Ginger.
4. No naming/basing/dressing your pet after someone specific. That's what Special Editions and Cosplays are for.
5. The cards need to stay as they are. I don't care what font you use, but please don't decorate them.
6. All concerns/complaints but be pmed to a colorist or Ginger.
7. Questions are okay to post in the thread, owners tend to be nice.
8. No reserves on regular pets. A payment plan for expensive ones may be worked out with a colorist at their own disgression.
9. On that note, no buying ANYTHING new until your debt is paid off. There will be a list. We'll know.
10. Please keep roleplaying of your pets in the roleplay thread. That's what it's there for.

If I need to add more, I will. Don't make me have to do that.


c o l o r i s t . r u l e s
1. All sales besides small flatsales and regular customs MUST GO BY ME. That involves raffles/auctions/special edition sets/ ect.
2. If I get more than a few complaints about your work, your timing, your manners, etc. then I very well may decide to fire you.
3. If you want to do a special edition set, INFORM ME FIRST. It's MY decision. Most likely those will be done together as a staff.
4. Colorists keep 2/3 of what they make.
5. You may only sell 3 customs per week.
6. If you have a problem about anything(another colorist, and owner, anything!) PM me about it. Never start ANYTHING in the thread.


s a l e . r u l e s
1. Flatsales happen in this thread and can be conducted in any manner the colorist choses. (Speed Sale, find a picture, flaffle)
2. Auctions will be in a seperate thread, and usually are only for really special pets. Anti-sniping rules will be instated.
3. Raffles are usually free or REALLY cheap, for those who cannot afford the really special pets.
4. NEVER bid/buy anything that you cannot pay for unless you have worked out a plan with the colorist.
5. Only one riverdog per person per sale(you can get more than one, but may only KEEP one.

Q: What do potions do?

Q: Are these pets roleplay required?
A: Not at all, though it IS a good idea, because roleplayed pets can get special stuff.

Q: Is there a limit to how many you can own?
A: Nope!

Q: How much time is between the stages?
A: 2 weeks for both. (From baby-->child, and from child-->adult)

Q: When does the trade have to be sent when buying a custom?
A: Please send the trade before your pet is started.

Q: Can these pets breed?
A: That option IS available, see the "Breeding" section for details. wink

Q: Do you allow gay/bisexual/lesbian relationships between Pets?
A: Though not natural, that is an option in roleplay. However, those pets cannot breed. Sorry!

What now? You want to know how to get a Riverdog? How silly! You can be lucky enough to get one in a flatsale, or you can get a custom slot from one of the colorists.

What that means, is that in the colorist's post, if there is an open slot, SNAG IT! PM a colorist with the form and then send a trade!

Occasionally, special ones will be sold, auctioned, raffled ect. Keep your eyes and ears open for that.

p o t i o n s
There is one thing that's special about this pet. If you buy a pet in the baby stage(customs or flatsales) you have the option of purchasing a potion from the item shop.

Now, no one is quite sure as to what each potion does, because each riverdog is affected differently. One thing is for sure, if you have a potion in your pet's inventory when they go through a growth stage, it will alter either their lineart, coloring, or both.

Only one potion maybe be bought between stages, making a total of two. That is, one between baby and child, and one between child and adult. There is even a potion rumored to increase the number of babies your pet has!

These potions, however, may not be used on cosplays or special editions. These pets will already have altered lineart, and won't need any more edits.

Regulars[M : F ] - Regulars, are, predictably, the main species of Riverdog. They are the ones that were originally created as the high water creature. This is before any of the Evil or Good species became known. All regular Riverdogs are neutral in alignment. This means that there is no evil ones, and no good ones. Personalities, though, tend to affect their behavior, and some may have more prominent rotten streaks than others.

Cosplays[M : F ] - Cosplays are regular Riverdogs cosplaying(dressed up as) or based off an existing character or and OC. They are decently rare in the Riverdog World. Their alignments vary depending on the character's personality.

Heylo there, I'm Miro. I'm a Photoshop lover and addicted to my computer stuff. ^_^;;; I've always tried to go into the breedables business, so here I am. I draw art too, so my colouring skills are decent. My lineart editing skills are not as fantastic, because I usually do traditional art and lineart. It'll be interesting to try doing this lineart editting stuff, but don't expect very good quality if you order something really complex. xD

p o t i o n s
Here we sell the potions that change how a Riverdog comes out after a growth. They can be used on any babies or children (only ONE potion in existence can be bought for any of the three stages, including adult, and it's very rare). There are three categories of potions, Common, Uncommon, and Rare.

Common potions are always in stock, and easily the cheapest of the three. These include simple color potions and the like. [Do not alter lineart]

Uncommon potions are not always in stock, but re-stock often enough to accommodate everyone's needs. These include the Lunar and Solar potions ect. [Aleters lineart a bit]

Rare potions are one that drastically alter the lineart, and possible species, of your Riverdog. These are RARELY in stock, it's rather random. They cost quite a bit because of the obvious change. [Alters lineart/species]

Big Rule of Potions :: Riverdogs grow through stages in fourteen days(two weeks). The potion must be purchases in the first 9 days for it to go into that growing, or at all if it is growing into an adult. At the end of day 9, colorists are going to start coloring the next stage and cannot wait around for you. I would reccommend buying them both right away, or buying them the day your Riverdog grows.

Yes, it's possible, Riverdogs can breed. One male and one female can decide to come and see one of the midwives and have some babies, however crude that may sound. The number of babies that are born is randomized between one and three per adult. There is rumored to be a potion that increases your chances to two to four(only works on one of the adults). There is no limit to the number of babies a Riverdog can have, but they need to regain their strenght for a month in between breedings.

When babies are born, they are grows to child two weeks later. They are then left at child for a minimum of another two weeks, but are left that way. You must request to grow your child to adult.
