Welcome

The cozy cottage is a reminder of the past with its stone steps and walls. Flowers grace the lush green vines which rise high up over the porch roof. The door itself is warm, inviting with the violet and blue stained glass design. The design is reminescent of a flurry of wings. Brightly colored butterflies drift lazily by over the myriad of flowers that are planted around the building in windowboxes as well as flowerbeds next to the cottage.

An antique bronze mailbox is hanging to one side, its detailing perfect for what it is. A pair of wings stretch outwards from the center, a bronze ring to lift the lid upwards.

On the porch there is a second door, tucked to the side. It is obviously leading downwards though the rusty iron gates just in front of it are padlocked.

To the side of the door, a large brass bell is hung. The sound is little more than a whisper, tinkling in the air as the perfect light tone of a windchime makes in a warm summer breeze.You barely catch an echo of sound- soft footsteps walking on a wooden floor within before the door is opened.

A girl with raven hair and amused green eyes answers, her jade gaze watching you in some secret amusement. "Yes? May I help you?" she states, her lips twitching upwards. Her expression is one that says she knows why you are there. Even if you don't.

"I..I'm not really certain why... I-I.. mean.." you stammer out, nearly sighing at your own insecurity.

Laughter ripples from her lips as she continues watching. "I'm Eftemie, Effe, or Efte to my friends. You might as well come in. Everyone does. The more the merrier I always say..."

You hesitate for a moment. She never notices.

"And don't worry. You will figure it out." she says and shoves the door open wider. "Please come in." It is then you notice them... The brightly colored balls of fluff with various types of wings. They are not butterflies but something else.

FAQ

1. All Gaia rules apply here.

2. This is my store. I own all of it. The mikimoo/mirshu world, its creation and concept belong to me. These are are direct adaptation of characters/races I created several years ago. I merely thought it would be interesting to adjust them for this as something new for them and me.

3. I can and will adjust anything pertaining to them at any time. I can do this because I created them, but if I make exceptions it will be on a one to one basis and dependent upon the reasoning behind it. Just because I do it for one does not mean that all will get the same exception. It is my judgement and it is final when I decide. NO whining and complaining that something is not fair.

4. Do not steal my images. Those who do will be blacklisted and reported to moderators.

5. Do not alter my images without permission. Only the colorists are allowed to alter the lineart that I have bought or created.

6. You can directly link to your image if you wish to do so only until it reaches adult stage. I am using Photobucket at the moment. I prefer you to save it to your own server once it reaches adult. Save the images as they evolve so that you will have them.

7. Roleplay does have perks. So if you choose not to roleplay, do not complain because another does and receives a reward for it. No whining or complaining about this rule. This is a perk for those who put the work and incentive into their pets.

8. No reserving, whining, complaining, or badgering. It will get you blacklisted.

9. Only send trades of items if I have confirmed them. Otherwise, gold only.

10. I will adjust my rules if problems occur at anytime I see fit to do so.

11. Roleplaying is whenever anyone can get together. Make a post in the shop. Start a thread in the guild.

12. All trades should be sent within 24 hours to Renjis, the shop mule only. Unless I know otherwise, a pet not paid for will be resold or simply removed from the shop to never be seen again. My choice.

13. Questions should be posted in the thread so that everyone may take advantage of them.

14. Keep the drama outside the shop. If there is a problem, take it to PMs with each other and leave the shop out of it. If there is a problem and I must solve it, then my decision is law and anything further will get you blacklisted.

15. Pet Trade inquiries may be sent as a PM to Renjis. Please state "Pet Trade" in the title. I reserve the right to refuse any items or pets. It doesn't mean I don't like the item or pet. I merely may have no use for it or time for it.

16. Breeding and an odd number of shells... If for example you get 3 shells, I would like to see both owners agree without trouble on what to do with the odd shell. I prefer not to decide for you, but if there is not an amicable settlement, I will make a choice.



Questions?
1. Are these RP required?
NO, but there are perks for those who do RP.

2. Can I have one?
NO. Buy one. If I do happen to give one away, it's because I feel that person deserves one. Don't ask.

3. Do Mikimoo wear clothing?
Are you serious? They are a round ball of fuzz with wings. What would they wear? *blinks*

4. Is there an item shop?
Yes, there will be as soon as I get everything in place. It will be limited to potions, scarves, hats, jewelry such as horn covers & rings, bows, and a few toys.

5. Do you do pet trades?
Yes. Look at the information on pet trades. Each colorist will list what they want in the way of a pet trade. Equal value trades only though unless something is worked out with the colorist.

6. Who's in charge?
Eftemie. Talencia and Chaeval whenever I'm not around. They are me then. XP Respect them.

7. ???

Moo Mansion
The species of Moo include Angelic, Demonic Mikimoo, Flittermoo, Finnermoo, and Buttermoo. Most recently some Elementals are known as are some hybrids known as Amoos.

::Racial Features::

All normal mikimoo have no eyes, ears, mouths, or appendages other than wings or fins. They are round bodies that rely on radar that reflects back to the hair or scales on their body. Anything that is eaten is absorbed through their body. The largest of the mikimoo are the Ancients whose body is about 5-7 inches in diameter with a wingspan of about 18 inches. They do not speak except telepathically and have a radar of sorts. They do bump into things quite often if something interfers with their radar. But sight and hearing is a matter of a point of view and quite often they seem to think they do have.

The Mikimoo recently woke from a sleep of centuries or even millenia to find that everything has changed. They are limited in numbers and only appear occasionally, but they seem to be increasing. They are loveable and full of pranks though some can be filled with spite and mischief of a darker aspect. Most mikimoo like to roll in peanut butter or some other sticky substance.

Recently, variations to to the normals have been found. Mikimoo with eyes, antennae, mouths, horns, and even tails have been appearing. Noone is entirely certain why or where this will lead their species, but it is being looked into.

::Stages::

Shell

The mikimoo all begin as fragile shells no matter the species. The shells may vary in not just color but also shape depending on their diet and environment. A Finnermoo may have a more translucent shell because of the ready abundance of water. They do pick up the emotions and attitudes of those around them even as a shell. They are very sensitive to others and their environment. Shells do absorb nutrients for the mikimoo inside.

At this stage the mikimoo are little more than a fluff of fur with nubs for wings. They cannot fly very well and they are just learning to control their radar. Radar is much like that of a bat. They send an echo out and it returns as a bounce so that they know where and what to avoid. Signals are misread alot at this stage. And all seem to love to roll in peanutbutter, sticky syrups or play in the water.

At this stage the mikimoo are a teenager. With that comes all the angst and trouble that teens of any species run into. They can be quite demanding, shy, mischievious, or even malicious. Each one is different than the next. They still adore the sticky liquids but they also take baths to clean themselves up after their play. Their radar works a bit better but there are times when they are awkward and clumsy as some teens are.

This is the adult stage of mikimoo. With comes all the problems adults have including breeding. Some choose mates and some merely nest with another then go their way. Once mated, they do not take other partners unless that partner dies. And even then they will mourn just as any other species that is mated would.

Ancient

This is the Elder stage of mikimoo. They are given respect as they have lived longer than any others though few remember the number of years. The eldest is Alfestus. He is the one considered oldest as he was already an Ancient when found. They do breed normally but also have the ability to disperse themselves creating new shells. The Ancient dies during a dispersion. Generally mortally injured Ancients will disperse themselves to leave something behind. These children do NOT know the things the Ancient did. They must learn on their own. Ancients are not gained lightly and should not be destroyed on a whim.

::Species::

::Angelic Mikimoo::
Alignment: Chaotic Good
The Angelics are a bit more rare than the Demonics are. They are bright, happy little creatures who hate sadness, pain and try to dispel it whenever they find it. They do not fight unless it is absolutely necessary. All mikimoo like peanut butter and the angelics are no exception. All racial features apply to the Angelics.

Alignment: Chaotic Evil
The Demonic Mikimoo are dark, wicked little creatures who quite often roll in peanut butter and sit on top of their owner's head rather than just absorb it. They like to torment the lighter oriented creatures whenever they find them, but especially the Angelic Mikimoo. All racial features apply to the Demonics.

::Finnermoo::
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
The Finnermoo are a species of Mikimoo though much rarer. It is an aquatic creature with fins instead of wings. It begins as the other miki do in a shell, but that is the only similiarity other than body shape. The Finnermoos have scales on their body or a rubbery skin and sometimes even fur though it is much more waterproof than that of airborne mikimoo. It's fins are similar to fish fins though a great deal larger and more colorful as it gets older.The Finnermoos swim very fast and love to dart up into the air to squirt the creatures that come along the edge of the basin. They seldom go into deeper waters as the larger fish find them a delicacy. All racial features apply to the Finnermoos.

::Flittermoo::
Alignment: Neutral
The Flittermoo are the more flighty and ditzy than the rest of the mikimoo. Though in truth, that's not admitting to much as most are scatterbrained, but the Flittermoo are exceptionally so. Their wings are more transparent and moving in all directions and seldom the same one at the same time. They tend to fly in circles alot. They do not like to roll in a sticky substance as the rest do. Their wings are much more fragile in the way a dragonfly's wings are. They do like to flit through the mist from a waterfall instead. All racial features apply to the Flittermoos.

::Buttermoo::
Alignment: Neutral
The Buttermoo are the most beautiful and closer to butterflies than the others. Their wings often reflect the very colors and shapes of real butterflies. They love to fly here and there without a care in the world. But as with all creatures, their upbringing can change their personality accordingly. The Ancients are particularly graceful with intricate wings on which to fly. All racial features apply to the Buttermoos.

::Amoos or Hybrids::
Alignment: Unknown
The Amoos or hybrids are a mystery. They seem to have attributes from their parentage that other mikimoo do not get, including more intelligence and attitude. But it is the mix that gives them such over than the truer species of mikimoo. The known types of hybrids are as follows:

These all result from a dispersion nesting. No exceptions.

A/D Amoos is the result of an angelic demonic mix.
A/B Amoos is the result of an angelic buttermoo mix.
A/FL Amoos is the result of an angelic flittermoo mix.
A/FI Amoos is the result of an angelic finnermoo mix.

D/B Amoos is the result of a demonic buttermoo mix.
D/FL Amoos is the result of a demonic flittermoo mix.
D/FI Amoos is the result of a demonic finnermoo mix.

B/FL Amoos is the result of a buttermoo flittermoo mix.
B/FI Amoos is the result of a buttermoo finnermoo mix.
FL/FI Amoos is the result of a flittermoo finnermoo mix.

These are the true hybrids, the Amoos and are always Generation 1. They only come from a dispersion. (Or a custom. Look at Customs for info on this.)

Generation 2 Amoos are from breedings and further dispersions. The rules in breeding cover this. (Look at Breeding for info on this.)

::Elementals::
Elementals are rare. It's not entirely known how they gain their magic. But there are a few of them around, and they appear at random. They do have magical abilities that give them an added advantage in some way. All magical abilities are linked to elements limited to Light, Dark, Wind, Earth, Fire, Ice, Water, Lightning. A list will be posted in roleplay of all magical abilities and their descriptions. I'll link it in here at a later date.

Gobgron Hollow


Like any other culture, the Mikimoo have enemies. These creatures known as Bogrons and Gobgrons were a great problem. Their race is as ancient, but not quite in the way the Mikimoo are. They merely existed at the same time.

Both types come from the same egg through natural selection. In other words, when there is a need for one type over the other, that is what happens. The eggs shift to the weakest type. This determines the fate of each egg the moment it appears. At this moment there is no balance. At this moment only males have been seen, but it's rumored that there are females of both types.

Bogrons

The Bogrons have a very fierce nature and consider the mirshu and mikimoo shells a delicacy if gained while still active and before they have evolved to their first form. They will gorge themselves if given a chance wiping out an entire nesting grounds in an afternoon.

The egg almost appears to be a rather pretty stone except for the two fangs that are sticking through the shell. Many pick up these eggs thinking they are a fossil. Until they hatch.

The baby Bogron is nearly the same as a human child, needing to learn words and control such as walking. They merely learn at a much faster pace. In just the matter of a week, their intelligence goes from that of a newborn to that of a ten year old child. It hatches from the egg a slimy gooey mess to sit still for a few moments and rest as the slime dries. It is extremely active within an hour of hatching. It mostly crawls for the first day or so.

The child Bogron is about the size of a five year old but its intelligence goes from that of a ten year old to nearly adult. They are devious, malicious, and mostly remorseless. They delight in causing mischief and breaking things. They will still crawl at times and can get quite lazy depending on their personality.

The adult Bogron is cruel and they take delight in fighting even amongst themselves. The strongest usually is the leader of all unless someone stronger comes along. *Zhakrin, Sod* icon_wink.gif They like to use clubs as weapons and their sheer numbers can overwhelm a group. They also have subjugated their lesser brothers, the Gobgrons.

The Gobgrons

The Gobgrons are a small dragon with slightly goblin features. They are wingless, at least none have been found with wings yet. They can breath a short burst of flame but the range is only about five feet for an adult Gobgron. They do use their teeth, claws and tail for attacking to make up for the lack of firebreath. They are faster than the Bogrons but not nearly as intelligent. The firebreath is a physical ability and not magical.

The egg appears exactly the same as it does for the Bogrons. There is no indication which type will be born until it is.

The Gobgron wyrmling starts out about the same size as a newborn Bogron, standing about a foot high. But it already has the ability to walk- on all fours- and eat. The wyrmling learns at a much slower pace to speak and only talks in broken sentences. It's mentality is about half what a Bogron's is in this same stage.

The Gobgron dragonling is about 2 foot high and smoke at times comes from its mouth with no flame. At this point, it will begin eating charcoal and various minerals to begin the activation of its firebreathing. A sudden belch may cause a flame by accident, but this is a rare occurrence. Its speed greatly increases in this stage. Its language usage is that of a ten year old child, but still very broken.

The Gobgron dragon is an adult, but still speaks in shortened or broken sentences. Their thoughts are slow and clumsy though their instincts and actions are swift. They are more animalistic than the Bogrons and usually do what they are told to do in the way a little brother will do what an older brother says. This means that their actions can include petulance, anger, lashing out, refusal just in the way a younger sibling would act. Their mentality is still that of a ten year old petulant and malicious child. They are only 2 1/2 feet high, but their length is 4 feet. The adults Bogrons will not ride on their backs being too large, but the baby and child Bogrons will.

On the rare occasion, a fight will break out between the Bogrons and the Gobgrons for no reason at all. When it's over, they go about as if nothing happened. Usually the one strongest in number wins.

Pricing
Pets are available through sales, raffles, auctions, customs, and bribing. (Major bribing.)


::Sales::

First come, first serve, unless I say otherwise. Sales will not always be speed sales. There will be Newbie sales which means if you own one, you cannot participate in a newbie sale. After I post "Go" in large red letters, the sale begins. All mikimoo will be priced next to the preview image and will be according to stage they begin with. Price: 2-5k depending on stage. Send trades within 24 hours.

Regarding Elementals: Elementals will be included in normal sales on occasion, but it will be announced that there is one elemental in the sale. The selected elemental will remain unknown until the sale is over. If the elemental remains unsold, it will be stated as such and put up for auction afterwards.


::Auctions::
Auction rules will be stated at the time. You have 24 hours from the end of the auction to send the trade. If it is not sent, the previous bidder will be given the option of getting it for his/her last bid. Send trades within 24 hours.

Co-owning is allowed. Please tell me at the time you are ordering a custom or bidding in an auction that this will be a co-owned creature. If co-owned, please tell me who is sending the trade so that I am expecting it.


Special Flatsales (RP and otherwise) & Raffles
Raffle rules will be announced at the time of the raffle. Tickets will not be added to the list unless the trade has been fully confirmed. New lineart and rare creatures will be here. Raffles will not always cost. There will be a few free ticket raffles.

Customs
Custom orders are slots which will be confirmed.
1. Check for open slots with the colorist of your choice.
2. Post an inquiry in the Custom's Thread here with a filled out customs form for the type of custom you want. (add link, lol)
3. The colorist will then PM you with confirmation of your details and add your name to an open slot.
4. Once details are worked out, send the trade to the colorist who will confirm it once. If the trade is canceled at any time, the work will be stopped immediately.

IF no slots are open, then do not post an order or send a trade or PM the colorist. The trade will be canceled and the PM/post ignored and/or removed from the thread.

Please note that hybrids are NEVER elemental. If they are, they will only show up in Auctions, Special Sales, or Very Special Raffles or a huge bribe. Also note that this type of custom is basically unique lineart. They are always Generation 1 with this custom. The rariety of Ancients, Elementals, and Hybrids will be preserved. I reserve the right to adjust prices accordingly.

Any other types of customs will take a major bribe such as nitemare scarf, kitsune mask, devil tail, miniwings, rose corsage but are not limited to these items. PM Renjis and ask. Yes, I am crazy. There's alot that can be said for craziness within reason. This is NOT reasonable, because you are paying for us to drop other things and to add a slot just for you. That does not mean you have the right to abuse the privilege of a custom by abusing the artist/colorist whether myself or another who works for my shop. I will act accordingly.

Slots will be open for each colorist. If names are in those slots, do NOT PM about getting one. When a slot comes open, PM the shop mule, and someone will confirm it. Then send the trade within 24 hours. It will be confirmed and then begun. First come, first served.

Each colorist is allowed 3 pet trades a month so long as the trade is of equal value and they are doing the coloring themselves. Please do not be upset if your trade is not taken. It may simply be that the person you want to trade with does not have the time for the pet. I know I don't have alot of time for such and if they are RP required, they may very likely be refused.

Breeding
Mikimoo can have children in two ways. Normal or Dispersion Breeding.

Breeding information is in the guild. The slots are listed here so that it can be seen at a glance when nests are open and ready.
To get a slot:

1. Check availability here then go to the Breeding thread HERE.
2. Post the type of nest and the image of the ones breeding. If two owners there should be two posts.
3. The colorist that wants it will PM owner(s) to begin the trade(s). Each owner is responsible for half unless other arrangements have been made. Names of the two breeding will be entered into the nesting at this time in THIS post. It will be 2-3 weeks for breeding.
4. The colorist will confirm the trade when the work has been finished. Cancelation of the trade at any time will stop the breeding.

::Mikimoo Nests::

Cost: 8k (1.5k per owner) (typically 3-5 shells)

Cost: 30k (If two involved in this, 15k per owner) (typically 4-7 shells) These nests are never used again. Honestly, I don't want Dispersion easy to do. Ancients are the elders and should be respected unless it is a viable part of a plotline you have going. Then if the RP is above average, I may adjust the price for that person.
