Throughout the many corners of Barton Town and its surrounding cities lie clusters of forests wherein are known to reside faerie creatures. Though often not explored, one adventurer known as Kuraino Tenshi (ahem) was often known to inhabit these forests, looking vainly for the small, winged creatures. One day, after a nap amidst the
willows within the forest, she awoke to a jingling noise and a soft laugh. When she opened her eyes, she saw a light... There, in front of her face, sat a tiny winged creature. It floated for only a second, smiled, and disappeared. Had she finally seen a faery?

Or had she only awakened from a very lucid dream? Her question was answered when she looked down and saw two, small fuzzie balls looking up at her and blinking. She picked one up, and underneath it, there sat a note, reading: "They are a dying race. We need your help." It wasn't signed, but she knew it must have been from her faerie friends.

It was then that she took the two home and tried to decide what exactly to do with them. At first, she just watched them. Eventually, one started to cry, and she tried feeding it various things. It was in this way that she found out that they prefered fruits. And then, one day, they sprouted ears....

Many weeks and lots of trials later, she had successfully mated the two, continuing the legacy of these faery-like creatures. She was immediately excited and called her Gaian friends, wondering if they wanted the children of the two. However, being busy with their own devices, they could not take care of them. Thus, she decided it would be best to try and get as many of them bred as possible by all of those who wished to help.

    Rules:
  • First and foremost, no stealing, editing, etc. graphics. Do I really even have to say that? *le sigh*
  • If I'm not there, don't keep asking about me! scream Chances are I'm working on something for you, which takes a while. There's nothing more annoying than everyone going, "where is she? Hurry up!" when I'm already going as fast as I can. stare Everyone does it, too. Yes, this means you.
  • No bugging me. This includes pestering me for custom furriebles, trying to get me to lower prices, or anything of the sort. You will be blacklisted. Umkay?
  • If I get no money, you get no pet. At least, not from me. >_>
  • No harassing, flaming, etc. You are not a big man. Or woman. Shut your face monkey person.
  • Do not PM me. All exchanges should take place on the thread. (see Info for details.)
  • Don't request anything until the auctions/flatsales are taking place. Self explanatory.
  • If for some reason you can't take care of your furrie, DON'T BUY ONE!. You can see the list of dead furries by scrolling down a bit.
  • If you're going to be gone for a while and can't take care of your furrie, you have to tell me, otherwise your furrie could potentially get sick and die.

    • How much do they cost?
      --During the flatsales they cost 500g each. Any addons are extra, of course. Auctions are different, too, d'uh.
    • When can I get one?
      --During the next flatsale/auction. Keep in mind that I do have a job, so flatsales might be spaced apart a bit.
    • How many can I have?
      --Two can fit in each home, but as far as other homes.... Well, pretty much as many as you're willing to take care of. Keep in mind that you have to feed them every day at first...
    • How many food items can I have in my inventory at one time?
      --About 10...Ish. But remember that you can only feed them once a day.
    • Do I have to continue to "feed" my furry if it has a multi-fruit tree?
      --No, that's sorta the point of getting one. sweatdrop
    • I signed up my furry to train in teh gym. Why isn't he/she there today?
      --Probably because it has school today. Remember, a furry has to sleep some time. stare
    • What's the airspeed velocity of a swallow?
      --Is that North African or European?

    Furries Version 2.0!!
    Furrie homes version 2.5!!     whee

    <img src="http://melancholylaughter.firehead.org/images/newbaby.gif" align=left>After a week, they will hatch and will be in the infant stage of development. During this time, you need to feed them every day. (for actual size in the home, as of 11-9-04, click here)

    <img src="http://melancholylaughter.firehead.org/images/newadolescent.gif" align=left>Two weeks later, they will enter the kid stage of development. During this time, they sprout ears, and you will need to feed them every other day.

    <img src="http://melancholylaughter.firehead.org/images/newadult.gif" align=left>Finally, three weeks after this, they will enter the adult stage of development. Here they only need to be fed 3 times a week, they grow a tail, and can mate.

    NOTE!: For all furries from gen. 1 or 2 who want their furrie homes to look like the new version, send 50 gold. It takes work, and work = money. sweatdrop

    Care and feeding

    How to Have a Happy Furry:To keep your furrieble happy, be sure to buy it plushies (in the general store), feed it, clean up after it, and keep its space decorative. It also enjoys interaction with its owner (aka RP'ing) and getting dressed up.

    OMG! It's sick! gonk If it gets sick, due to having poop around for too long (yes, it does poop. Post here to have it cleaned. User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.) or because you haven't fed it for more than 2 days in its infant stage, 3 days in its kid stage, or 4 days in its adult stage, you need to give it a shot. (These can be found in the general store.) If after 4 days of being sick you haven't given it a shot, it will die. crying If it dies, you'll see a little grave: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

    However, if you have a toilet in your house, you won't need to post to have its poop cleaned. YAY! 4laugh


    How to feed your furrieble
    ...Post here that you want to feed it. Just the word "feed" or something will suffice. *shrugs* After this, it will "eat" one of the items you bought it (assuming you bought it food.)
    However, if is has a multi-fruit tree in its house, it won't go hungry, and you don't have to feed it. YAY again! 4laugh

    Feeling Angry? Yarg! scream Want to test your furrie's strength against other furries? Grrrr! stressed This is where you do it! Battles will be held between two furries, wherein each furrie's strength is gauged against the other's. There is also a certain chance that your furrie won't hit the other, based on a roll of the dice (even numbers = hit, odd numbers = miss). For winning, your furrie gets a medal! Yay! 4laugh

    This is where the furriebles will be bred. Breeding costs a lump sum of 100g. It takes a week for the two furriebles to bond. During this time, they will not need to be fed or played with, as they will be taken care of by us. At the end of the week, if they have successfully bonded, there will be a new egg available.

    Notice that little intelligence meter on your Furrie's home? This is where it grows! The furrie teacher *points up* teaches your furrie all the essentials: math, furrblish (their language), science, etc. Also, if you post to "study" at home (assuming you have a bookcase), your furrie can gain some intelligence. Also, from time to time, there will be a spelling bee or some other academic event where furries can battle each other!

    It costs 10g per class, and each class your furrie will gain a small amount of intelligence.

    Notice that other thing, the strength meter? The Furrie Gym is where your furries train for battles in the battle arena! Each time they train, they'll gain strength for battles. Training costs 5g, and they can only train on days they don't have school. eek I mean, a furrie's gotta rest some time... sweatdrop They can also only train once a day.

    *Note: When one buys a multi fruit tree for their furrie, they no longer need to feed him or her, as the fruit will fall from the tree on its own and be eaten by the furrie.
