ATTENTION EVERYONE
(updated September 14th 2005...just in case you're not sure if this is old or new...)

Yes, I'm back...sort of
Many things have kept me away...real life icky things
I'd like to sincerely appologize for my disappearance

1) Do i owe you something? Did you pay for a Starfi and never recieve it? If this is you, i need you to PM me, and let me know.

2) This shop is closing down and will not be re-opening as far as i can see...ever. Please don't order anything or bug me to re-open.

3) I will not finish the Starfi growings. I will not be updating them any further UNLESS you NEVER recieved something you ALREADY paid for. If that's the case...see #1

Updater of doom

Nov 8 - Three Starfi hatched today! Not to mention both Sil and Quark grew!! lookie! antennea!

Nov 2 - all the spore pets have been updated! Please welcome lxlangel_chiilxl on staff! She will be taking care of the spore pets from now on XD

Nov 1 - all 5 starfi have been handed out, as well as the custom. 2 have actually been completed and sent to their respective owners...the rest are either pending further instructions, or aren't quite finished yet ^^

Also, I've made some banners finally to pretty up the shop a bit! i'm making some new dividers too and i'm going to try centering a few things! Let me know what you think XD

Oct 24 - The Halloween event is full! I'm participating in the Collective Halloween Festivial thingo (see above) and I'm providing a little Star Kid in a Starfi home! (halloween themed of course XD )

Oct 20 - Con wins the raffle and chooses the red and black egg! Star Sorceress wins Plushies for life, and Pook666 wins a Spore pet! More stuff added to the items, some price changes etc...

Oct 19 - Raffle ends Wed @ 11:59 pm gaia time - draw on thursday! Spore pets growing o.o !! My Starfi has grown also ^^ ooo...and the first newesletter was sent out yesterday XD

Oct 16 - Raffle for your pick of Starfi egg has begun! The raffle will close sometimes next week --> see the link above! Auction for custom colored Starfi will be scheduled for late October/early November!!!

Oct 15 - Almost all set up... I definitely feel some contests coming on....oh and what's that? did someone say raffle? o.o

3. Do not steal any images from this thread (or from customers signatures). I have a certain trust level which means i am not putting 'sample' through all my pictures - please help keep it this way!

4. Don't beg, whine, swear, or generally irritate me or anyone else on this thread

6. Post questions/comments in the thread...not in my mailbox ^^

The way of the Owner

1. You must read all the rules before you can even think about owning a Starfi

2. Use good old commen sense (see rule #2 in 'general' above)

3. You may not Re-sell your Starfi

4. You may not give your Starfi to anyone else (unless I give you permission)

5. I reserve the right to revoke your Starfi if I find you breaking any rules, or otherwise unfit to own one of my pets

6. You must post in this thread at the very least, a few times per month in order to interact with your Starfi (if this is a problem - contact me). You do not have to RP regularily, all I ask is that you DO NOT disappear and I never see you again. I will harrass you with PM's and/or revoke your pet.

7. You may only buy one of the first 5 original Starfi's (this does not include the custom one)

8. You may only have 2 active Starfi's. A Starfi is active if it has not yet reached it's final stage. If you have 2 adult Starfi's you may PM me to 'de-activate' one (they will no longer emote or travel through the rift and you can't interact with them or have them breed) to make room for another active Starfi (Read the section on Starfi growth, stages and care for more info!)

9. A Starfi that has been de-activated will only be able to re-activate after 2 weeks of de-activation (so make sure you really want to de-activate your Starfi before you do!)

Dem Query's

Q: When will these pets be released?
A: I don't know yet. Give it a few weeks...maybe less, maybe more...

Q: How much will they cost?
A: There is no simple answer, mostly becuase I don't know. The pet itself will PROBABLY be in the 1000g range. The items (backgrounds, mushrooms, scenery etc...) will mostlikely be significantly cheaper (10-100 gold range). Nothing is set in stone yet!

Q: How will I be able to obtain a Starfi?
A: The method of sale is undertimined, but there will mostlikely be auctions and/or raffles...i'm not a big fan of flat sales.

Q: How many will be released to begin?
A: 6 eggs are in existance to begin...1 is mine. That leaves 5 to sell ^^

Q: What happened to the old store/storeowner?
A: They left gaia for reasons not to be discussed here. They have indeed given me complete copyright priviledges on Starfi and all Starfi related art.

Q: Do we get anything if we show our support by bumping or donating?
A: Why, yes...yes you do! The bump/donator pets will be re-released just as soon as everything gets set up. They will be givin to people who donate gold/items or who regularily bump the shop!!

Was it a dream? no, it must have been real...but it all seemed so strange. A weird door appeared and through the door - another world was discovered. The 'other' world was a swirl of different colors, strange plants and strange sounds. The dream faded as quickly as it had begun.

In the morning, several polaroid pictures were discovered on the bedside table, depicting (in startling detail) the world on the other side of the door.

Several more dream filled nights, and a bunch of odd eggs were discovered in the dream world. Tiny stars adorned the top of each oddly-spotted egg. Upon awaking, the eggs were sitting there in the middle of the bedroom floor - and one was shaking gently...

Oct 21
Just when I thought the dreams had ended...they began again. Once again I found myself in the Starfi realm, wandering aimlessly, in awe of the alien landscape. Suddenly I heard a strange rumbling sound behind me, as if a train were approaching. When I turned to look I saw this huge contraption...all blinking lights and spinning wheels! It was shaking and beeping and then it went 'Pwip' and a tiny little mushroom fell out of a round opening at one end and landed in a small dish. It was almost silly, the way the machine looked like such a cartoonish creation, and the mushroom it expelled looked just like the ones scattered throught the Starfi world.

I approached the machine to examine the mushroom and just as I reached for it...*poof* I was standing in my room holding a brigt purple and blue mushroom! Not only that, but the machine was there too...crammed into a corner of the room, blinking a square shaped display on and off as if to get my attention.

I pinched myself. I wasn't dreaming. What in the World am I going to do with this machine?

Upon closer inspection the display panel has a serious of options that come up, where you can pick what type of mushroom or plant you would like to produce. Then you press this big red button and it spits your choice of flora out a round tube at one end. This will be perfect in making my Starfi feel more at home!

My starfi egg hatched! I can hardly believe it! It's the cutest little tiny blob...small enough to fit in the palm of my hand! I havn't disturbed it though, it seems to be asleep...it's making soft little purring sounds, almost like snoring. It's little house is looking kind of empty though, there must be some way I can make it feel more at home - when it wakes up at least.

I've also decided to give one of the eggs to my friend, Con. I know I can trust her with it, and I knew when I told her my story, that she really did believe me! I think anyone else would think I've gone mad, but she seemed really interested in the whole affair. I let her choose an egg, and she decided on the black and red one. I also made her a little home out of pocket watches and spoons, just like mine only black, to match her egg. I hope she takes really good care of it, I'm sure it's going to hatch soon!

I hardly have time to write this...I have so much to do...and a midterm in a few hours. The eggs havn't really changed...although one seems to be shaking just a little. I've built it a tiny home out of pocket watches and spoons and I keep it in my drawer.

The rest are stashed under my bed. I check them every morning but when I check this morning...there was one more then there was the night before! The strangest thing is ... it keeps changing color every time you touch the little star on top. As soon as you let go the colors stop changing. It's the strangest thing - well, the strangest thing besides hiding eggs from dreams under your bed!

Just when I thought the dreams were over...they got a whole lot worse! Three night's ago they dreams started up again. I would go through the door and explore the alien world on the other side. Everything was pretty normal in a pretty abnormal kind of way!

Last night I discovered something fantastic in the dream world! A bunch of tiny eggs all huddled together. I could swear one of them was shaking very gently..and humming...there was a strange humming sound.

When I awoke that morning, i found something terrible on my bedside table...photographs. Polaroids in fact. Polaroids of the other world! The detail was amazing...but this just couldn't be happening! it just wasn't real!

Last night was the worst of all. Actually, it was dream free...but this morning yielded all sorts of unwelcomed surprises. And by all sorts, I mean six. Six tiny eggs huddled together in the middle of my bedroom floor...

...I think I really have gone crazy!

I can't believe the dream I had last night! I've heard of reaccuring dreams before...but this was just too weird! It started out just like the strange-door dream, and just like before, I felt as if I was awake. This

time though, there was this strange feeling in the base of my spine...like something was watching me. I had a very strong urge to investigate the mysterious door...and more specifically - the doorknob.

I think maybe opening the door was a bad idea. I thought about it, and I decided it couldn't hurt - seeing how this was a dream and all. Except when I opened the door there was such a bright, startling flash of light, I'm sure it would have woken the deepest sleeper...the dream refused to fade.

When I gathered my courage to look through the opening of the door...I could hardly believe my eyes. There it was, spread out like a vast desert (and perhaps it was for all I know) some alien landscape, full of bizzare colours, scraggly plants and huge mushrooms. There was this sort of faint screeching bird sound that gave me the chills...it sounded as if it was coming from all around me. The more I looked, the more the landscape shifted...colours bled into one another...plants faded into hills...huge planets rose and set in the fluorescent sky...

...and then I was awake. My head was a swirl of colours and sounds. The strangest thing about it is, I didn't feel frightened. It almost felt...natural. Or maybe the strangest thing was the fact that i was standing in the middle of my room when I woke up.

Oct 1
Last night I had the strangest dream! I felt as if i had just woken up, and I was sitting at the foot of my bed...and then suddenly I looked up to see this door, just appear out of thin air. The door seemed to waver and swirl, as if it were made out of mist, and slowly it began to, what I can only describe as, solidify.

I watched it in awe, noticing the way it shimmered and sparkled in the dim moonlight. It was deep black, and gave me the impression that I was staring out into space instead of looking at the face of a door. Mesmerized by this incredible sight, I almost missed a very important detail - it had a doorknob!

That's about the time I woke up...sweating despite the coolness in the air. There was no sign of any doors.

Maybe I'm going crazy?

Egg - All Starfi that I have encountered start out in this form. Their tiny eggs are usually spotted with a tiny little star on top. Starfi stay in their eggs for at least a few days to anywhere up to a weeks time. Apart from being an egg, Starfi don't do anything at this stage, and they don't require any attention.

Blob - OMG it hatched!! Yes that's right. And it's hatched into a very generic, non-descript blob-thing. The blobs usually just sleep...they need lots of rest in order to grow to the next stage. It's probably a good idea to pay some attention to your developing Starfi at this point...if nothing else it will surely encourage growth!

Adolescent - The Starfi has awoken and has grown quite a bit! At this stage the Starfi has a coloration pattern that will last the rest of it's life. It's not fully grown, and like any young creature, craves attention from it's 'parent'. The adolescent Starfi will show you how it is feeling...or what it is thinking about in thought bubbles that appear over it's head. The happier your Starfi the faster it will grow, and the best way to make a Starfi happy is to pay attention to it!

Adult - The Starfi has gained *******! Different Starfi have different ******, but there are only a few different types. The ******* really serve no purpose other then to distinguish one Starfi from another, and well..they look pretty too!!

??? - The final stage of Starfi growth. Your Starfi now has *******! The ****** allow your Starfi to ******* for short periods of time, ideal for ****** on a favorite mushroom! It is at this stage that a new thought bubble may appear. When your Starfi thinks about ****** it means that it wishes to *******. ******** what you may ask? Well, a ******* of course! When two ******** come together they ******** into 1-4 ********. To learn more, see the 'breeding' section.

We definitely don't know much about this topic, other than your Starfi can't summon until it has reached its final stage. A star crystal is required for summoning, but for now, I don't have any of those

Not much is known about how Starfi reproduce, but it is a fact that the summons have something to do with it. It is the summons that come together to produce more Starfi, and not the Starfi themselves. When two summons join, they form several eggs, but they lose corporeal form and are lost in the rift until they are summoned once more.

Welcome to The Rift. This is the place to go if you'd like your little Starfi to start exploring and having it's own fun! There are many benefits to purchasing a Stargate and opening a Rift of your own, such as:

-Your Starfi will be happy to explore and recieve visitors!
-Visiting Starfi's will be displayed in your Starfi's home
-Visiting Starfi's can interact and send each other gifts if they become friends
-Multiple Starfi's may gather at community Rift areas
-Starfi's may be temporarily transfered to another owner, or a pod if you are going to be away for a week or more
-Starfi's may find interesting and unique items on their travels!

In order to open a Rift, you must first purchase a Stargate. The border color will match that of your Starfi's home (unless you request otherwise) and cost 600g.

Once you have your Stargate, just ask me to open a Rift for you! It doesn't cost a thing and can be closed at any time (just ask for it to be closed). This is handy for controlling the wanderings of your Starfi!

When the rift is open, your Starfi may disappear from it's home! Don't panic! A small 'poof' will indicate that it has gone through the rift, and you can keep track of your Starfi by checking the Starfi Watch or checking the community Rift areas to see where it has gone!

Unfortunatly wandering Starfi's do have a mind of their own, and if you need to recall your Starfi to it's home you must purchase a Stone of Recall for 50g. The Starfi will be sent back to it's home, safe and sound!

Closing the rift is a good way to stop your Starfi from wandering if you would prefer that it remains in it's home for a while.

1. You must already own a Starfi to buy any of this stuff...although hopefully this is obvious o.O;;

Step the first: Choose a border color! These are free, since you need them to house your Starfi in! A change in border color does require a small service fee however.

Remember how I said there are lots of ways to show your support? Well if you've already bought alllll

the plushies *hopefull* you can help out by donating or regularily bumping the thread.

In exchange for your support you will recieve one of these cute little spore pets as a gift! The

spores eventually grow into mushrooms which can be traded in for scenery for your Starfi (if/when you own one!)

Regular Bumping: Not just 1 or 3 or 7 bumps. Not 100 bumps in a row. I mean, a bunch of bumps over a whole bunch of days. If you show continuing support, then you are a regular bumper ^^

Donations: All donations are always greatly appreciated, but since these pets took time and effort...and will require more time and effort to up keep, I can only give them out to people who donate 300g or more.

After your pet is full grown, you are eligible for another one if you continue to bump/donate again ^^

All spore pets start out looking exactly the same. They have 3 stages, and only in the last stage do

they look different at all. You cannot customize these pets in any way ^^;
