While browsing through the many art shops in the R&C District of Gaia, you see one, small, not one of the giants. Various pictures are hung on the windows, and a sign above the door says "Ashes of Sapphire" in elegant handwriting. A chime sounds as you enter the door. Inside there are a few tables, like the ones you would find in a public library. A few people are sitting at them, chatting and drinking various drinks. Behind a counter two teenaged girls sit, drawing busily. Soon they notice your presence, welcoming you in and sitting you at one of the tables. "So, what would you like?" asks one, handing you a menu of what they offer.

Welcome to Ashes of Sapphire, an avatar and OC art shop dedicated to getting you high quality art. This is a joint art shop, owned by Ashtaye and me (saphiremomo). We encourage all customers to stay and chat while waiting for their order(s).

There may be a lot...but we want to keep this place as free of problems as possible. ;D

~Updated 2/25/07~

~ Follow the Gaia Terms of Service (ToS).
~ Please no flaming. It will not be tolerated.
~No more reserving slots. I used to do this but I realize that it's not fair, so no longer D:.
~You can bump here. But we also like to have conversations...and if you chat, you're more likely to receive freebies. :3
~It's advised that you subscribe to the thread, just in case. Updates and such. :3
~Keep the advertising to your siggy. If you want to exchange links, post it once in here and we'll add it to our links section.
~We will not start on your art until you send the trade to ensure you have the correct amount.
~No refunds! Sorry, but it's not fair to the artist. And definitely DO NOT cancel your order if the artist has already started on it. (You can find out the status of your art in the slots--there will be a percentage next to it).
~ No trolling or cybering.
~ Don't steal our work. If we see our work somewhere else, we will report you.
~ Keep this thread PG-13, please.
~ Please don't have more than one order with us at a time (i.e. you can't fill more than one slot). Unless we give exception to you, which isn't often ;D.
~ We don't prioritize our art. For example, if Ash gets a couple request and later a single fullbody, Ash will do the single first because it's easier and quicker. PM us to negotiate if you want art by a certain date.

~If, in the RARE chance you have a reserved slot, you must post your order here within 75 hours of the slots opening, or we will remove your name from the list. We will NOT PM you. x_X

Also...we both have lives outside of Gaia, however hard that may be to believe. ;D So please do not be pushy. We will get to your art as soon as we can, and will periodically post progress reports here (so you can check back on the status of your art). Thank you for your patience. <3

If you break any of these rules whatsoever, then you get a warning and will be added to the graylist. If it happens again you will be blacklisted.

Saphire now offers a Surprising Slot! What is a surprising slot, you ask? Well it's where you offer whatever you're willing to pay for a piece of art. According to how much you pay, you could get a chibi that isn't available normally in this shop, a fullbody with background, or various other things that are special. The rule of thumb is the more you pay the better stuff you get. However, if you have an interesting character, or a pretty avatar, etc., you have a higher chance of getting something more.

How to Order:
1: You post your order
2: You wait for me to accept it (I may also ask questions about the order).
3: You send the trade (I won't accept it till I'm finished with the art).
4: I do the art, and then I PM it to you. If you change your username, you must contact me. I don't have time to track you down.
5: I complete trade, you complete trade, and everyone is happy (hopefully).

Random Facts about the Artists

~Ash is an art-contest whore. So, if you want to post a link to your contest in here, I'll consider entering it, depending on if I have time/your characters appeal to me. ;D

~Yes, it is supposed to be spelled saphiremomo, with one 'p'. And we often call her Saphire, with one 'p' also. : D

~You may or may not have seen or ordered from our old art shop : Ashes of Sapphire. This name is the combination of both our Gaian names. We think it sounds quite spiffy. :3

~Both Saphire and Ash are mouse users, and mainly use The GIMP 2.0 for CG work. Saphire now has a Wacom Graphire4 4x5 tablet and Ash is on her way to getting one too! biggrin

~Both of us are aspiring artists and we enjoy compliments like anyone else, but if you'd like to pop a critique or two about our art, don't hesitate to do so! We're always looking to improve ourselves and bring you guys the best art we can. 3nodding
