- Description -
Thread / guild combo - guild used for profiles / items, thread used for relaxed RP.

As you approach Seaside, you spot UFOs flying to the port and landing. Bright red and green lights apprear in rows and circles to guide landing craft. Since you don't have a ship yet, you continue on foot until you reach the port.
The entrance opens for you as you near the building, and you are soon inside wandering amongst hundreds of aliens. The black walls are covered with flourescent markings. The parallax ceiling is filled with the stars of night at all hours. And finally the map, standing right in front of you, shows you where to go to find what you want...

Hallways - Most of the port is hallways; they connect one place to another.
Food Court - If you walked here, you're hungry by now. Choose from Chinese, Mexican, Italian, or even Alien food... just don't ask me to pronounce any of it. (Full Menu below)
Gift Shops - Remember to buy some junk on your way out!
Shopping Mall Area - Purchase anything useful here - from paper clips to space ships. :XP:
Docking Bay - Leave your ship here if you came with one.
Docking Bay #2 - Boats and fishing.
Inn & Apartments - Quiet rooms for all who can afford it.
Club Area - Stage, tables, bar, etc. etc...
Library - Locked, except on Wednesday.

Guild Use

Store your profiles in the guild, and keep track of RP stuff you own there. This thread is meant to be the main roleplaying area, not the guild. You are welcome to RP in the guild if you want to though; there will be locations set up in there at a later date.

Rules

Do not stretch the page - with large images or lines of text with no spaces. If you need to post large pictures, link to the image.

Limit the amount of spam you post - meaningless posts may be erased at my descretion. if you spam repeatedly you could be blacklisted. Bumping is allowed in small amounts.

Don't play god - simple enough...

Don't steal anything - You'll be banned from the shopping area...

No smoking indoors - I'll be tempted to send assassins after you regardless of where you smoke if yu do... the rule is only for indoors though confused

Fighting

Auto-hits are not permitted, wait for the response to your attacks.
Any spells or attacks with unusual names should be described when you use them.
Attacking someone without reason may cause security to case you with glowing baseball bats. O_o
You don't have infinite agility: your moves take time, and you can't dodge everything.

Limited Access / Blacklist

Thieves may still post, but they are not permitted to enter the Shopping Mall.

Job description: Assign other jobs, monitor quality of employee work, fill in when the Manager is not present.
Requirements: Must be online and posting an average of three days a week or more.

Shopping Mall Manager: -available-
Job decription: Must handle sales of spacecraft and any major purchases. May hire staff to assist. Purchases made are to be recorded in a log(text file). A copy of the sales log is to be sent to the Manager or Assistant Manager of the Space Port on a monthly basis.
Requirements: Must be online and posting an average of three days a week or more.

Apartments Manager: -available-
Job Description: The Apartments manager will assign rooms to people staying at the Inn, and Apartments to those who will be staying for over a week. A monthly log of rooms sold must be sent to the Manager or Assistant Manager of the Space Port on a monthly basis.
Requirements: Must be online and posting an average of two days a week or more.

Job Description: Cook all you want, eat free, and basically just run the food court how you would like.

Job Description: If you spot any theft within the shopping mall area, add the thief to the shopping mall banlist... Basically, just watch out for any crimes. If you catch someone behaving in any manner inappropriate for a roleplaying environment: inform the Manager about the post to get the user blacklisted.
Requirements: An application form must be filled out.

Job Decription: Keep music going in the Club Area, and select music to be played throughout the complex.

Job Description: Just make sure the place doesn't get covered in dust, and try to keep things working properly. Clean and working is good.
Requirements: Must post at least two days per month.

Notes:
There are many small shops in the food court that you may volunteer to work at.
You will not likely recieve a manager position immediately. Post regularly and you may get promoted.

WEDNESDAY - Reading day =/ ... the library is only open this day.
THURSDAY - Fire hazard! ( no, there's no fire, but the overhead water sprinklers are running :p )
FRIDAY - Pet day, bring your pet to the port.
SATURDAY - Random giveaway ( If I'm in a rich mood mrgreen )
SUNDAY - Daylight inside. ( The normal night stars parallax ceiling is replaced with a clear sunny day sky. The black walls are now green with plant life. )

Tyrian is a vertical scrolling space-shooter from many years ago. There is a version of "Tyrian 2000" available somewhere on the web. I hope there are no problems with me using information that I gathered from playing this game.

Ships from Tyrian come with no equipment. To make these ships operational, add 500s to the cost for a low-end generator.
