Welcome to Hidden Among the Leaves- The Ninja Wars!
Not to familar with this place or naruto in general? No worries, we're friendly people here and will gladly help you understand the concept. First off lets get started on Naruto as a whole!

Naruto is orginally a manga/anime by Masashi Kishimoto, that deals with different ninja groups from Hidden Villages (different areas of the continent). These ninja have a ranking system that each individual will go through in the course of his/her life. It set in a rather modern time, with movie theaters and tv, though it is a village, so don't be looking for any big cities or anything. Though as for the ninja themselves, they are the weapons of their village, and often times warring villages. For more info about the ninja and their Jutsu or common terms used in rp, please refer to the rp post. Or ask if you want to know something specific.

For our purposes! The villages are at war, and all the leaders (called a Kage) have been murdered, throwing the whole area into udder arrest and discontent. Our setting, the Village Hidden in the Leaves, is relatively untouched at this point, but most of the higher ninja are fighting on the front lines. Now we have to raise a new generation of ninja, will you become a powerful force to be recconded with even with the possibilty of going to war at any moment?

Twice a year, every year. The chunin exam was bassed, but it was undeniably necessary. All the genin from every village would gather and compete for the honor of serving their country as chunin and as they became chunin not only would they be honored by their own country but they will be showing their prowers to the leaders of other countries as well. Everything was going as would be expected this year and a number of twelve had made it into the third part of the exam, a large tournament where the Kage(leaders of the various villages) would watch and judge you and determine if you were worthy. The first match had only just begun when hell wormed its way into this world. Out of no where all Kage died at once. Their headbands removed and the cause of death undeterminable except for one thing. The man in the center of the arena who was wearing the headbands of every kage. His face was unfamiliar to all and he made no record to hide himself as he bowed and dissapeared. What had happened was a mystery as was everything else. He had even killed the various guards that had been guarding the kage by the same means. Nothing added up. Who would want something like this and to what cause? As mayham engulfed the tournament and there no longer being anyone capable of ruling the villages the world became a place of pure anarchy. Every village was taking in refugees from every other village until the records started to dissappear. Soon the only way to distinguish who was who was by their headband and then the people who weren't ninjas were sheer out of luck. Fights ensued all over as people began vying for power and the leadership of a kage. Now in the midst of this, who is there that can bring light through the overwhelming darkness and restore sanity to this hell that hath lost it?

No stealing of my art... or at least I hope you knew that already.
Please, pay for your pet.
No taking a pet and running with it... I'd like to see you around the thread once in awhile.
No fighting... everything is first come first serve.
Do NOT argue with any of the staff members.
Please don't pester me, we will get your ninja to you as soon as possible.
Resizing is allowed, but no removal of the credits.
Activity (posting in the the thread, stopping by to say hi, rp, ect.) is required for your pet to grow! Your pet will not be taken away from you unless you are blacklisted, but again, no activitiy = no grow.
For heaven's sake... have fun!
Please no characters from the show, we're trying to steer clear of that.

Academy Student:
Oh my, so you wanna be a ninja? Well there's only one sure fire way to do that; the academy of course! You're just starting out and learning the basics of what it means to be a ninja, meep better keep those grades up, no way you'll pass class sleeping all the time! At this stage your ninja isn't really a ninja at all, so they won't have their headband at this time. But rest assured as soon as they pass those classes a headband shall be awarded in it's next stage. If you rp your ninja, it could take as little as two weeks for it to grow, more or less depending on how Ropin is feeling at the moment.

Genin:
Hurray you've passed the academy! Now don't you just feel all excited and wonderful not to mention arogent, sheesh people come on it's just a headband to finally be a ninja! Though you're missions are nothing special you'll be lucky to get something that actually matters on the fate of your villiage, but don't take it lightly! You're learning how to work as a team and from now on hopefully you can get those jutsus right. But like all things this wonderful stage must come to an end and another will start. How you may ask? The chunin exams of course, which will happen before da Ropin posts any growings into the chunin stage. This again can take two weeks to three weeks depending on how da Ropin is feeling.
Note: Will need to pass the chuunin exams to graduate to chuunin.

Chuunin:
About time right? You passed the exam and now you've earned the rank of Chuunin, and earned it is the right word? You're highly respected and qualified to lead ninja expeditions so your team's lives are in your hands, but you've proved you can handle the responsiblity with a certain measure of pinache and level-headedness.

Anbu Member *acquired upon request*:
Assassinations, espionage, stealing and intercepting messages are but a taste of the work that an Anbu member will have to do. As an anbu you will lose your unique costume design and instead be given the mass produced anbu uniform including: A unique animal mask, a katana, arm guards and body armor. With this step completed becoming a jounin won't take much longer as all ninja must learn the less desirable arts.

Jounin:
A ninja master! The highest rank possible short of being Hokage! Everyone aknoweledges you now and you can even opt to teach Genin now and help mold the ninja of the future. Congratulations on your success and be proud knowing that you're at your peak as an elitist.

Rogue Ninja *acquired through Rp*:
So you've abbandoned your orginal village and are now an 'outlaw' of the ninja. Perhaps you had your reasons, or they just tossed you out, but this little perdiciment can be very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.
Note: Once at the rogue stage (which can be acquired from chuunin level and up), your ninja will cease in growth. This will now be the final stage of your ninja.

Setting: The Village Hidden in the Leaves

Ok, I know, I know, a Naruto-esque world seems kind of played out and something you can do anywhere but not like this. This setting is purely unique in that there are no characters from the show and the plot is completely different. With the one exception of Kage-cide, but in this world it was all of them and not two. In this world you can create a purely unique character and Ropin is terrific at recreating on paper whatever you picture in your mind for your ninja.

The setting takes place in a war-torn world where it's impossible to determine who is your friend and who is just using you to help them become a kage. Sadly you can only be a ninja from Konoha, but considering the fact that village has nothing to do with jutsu types(As evident by the second Hokage being a Water Jutsu specialist) there really shouldn't be any problem unless you just HATE the Konoha symbol.

Do you wish your Ninja would be able to have a few kids of it's own? Or simply all out of birthday gift ideas for a friend and suddenly thought, 'Hey! I can breed one of my pets and give her/him a babeh!' well okay maybe not that last one but hey, it's a thought. The only way you can get your Ninja to breed with another is if they have declared their love in the rp, and at which time that happens please pm me with permisson from both owners. Your ninjas are now able to breed if a slot is open for it. Once approved and paid for, your ninjas will appear in this post and rp with the mating pair will halt for the day, when your ninjas are out of this post you may rp again. The number of offsprings will be determined by rando number, between 1 and 2.

Rules
1.) Both owners must agree to it and pm me permisson, it's a first come first serve basis when the slots are open.
2.) Both owners pay 7k, or 14k total, when they have been approved for the breeding grounds.
3.) Please do not fight over the slots, like I said before, first come first serve basis.
4.) For your ninja to breed it must be at LEAST at the chunin stage where they're mature enough to handle such stress both bodily and mentally!
5.) A ninja couple may only be bred twice in their life time. The number of kids produced each time is 1 to 2, depending on what the roll turns out to be.
6.) You may give away your child ninja to a friend or keep if for yourself. Both owners must agree on the decision of who gets what.
7.) Sorry guys, but there are no boy x boy or girl x girl babehs... it simply can't happen... physically. ._.;;

What's so special about breeding?

Well as of now I have come to the conclusion that since it would be to awkward to jump into rp with a student right after a breeding, that through this special event you will recieve an exclusive stage! ^^ A baby stage, to help the transition go along a little easier.

Perhaps that couple even has the urge to get married? It isn't required, oddly, but it is tradional to those who charish the bond that religion and church can give. Even if you aren't a religous individual, it still shows your utmost devotion to the one you love.

So how exactly do you get a wedding for said couple? Quite simply, you just need to PM Ropin with your request, what time you want it to take place, and if you want it to be an open rp for anyone to join in.

Also, art of the couple is also available for a small fee of 5k. For samples, ask Ropin.

Or simply, 'Father Shavitz', has been in the business for as long as anyone could remember. Heck, there's even been rumors that he had survived a building imploding in on itself... but those are just silly rumors. I hope. Anyway, Shavitz is a fairly eccentric man, so don't let his feeble appearance fool you. Obsessing about anything and everything, he can become quite weird to those who are not use to his presence. Fear not, he'll get those young couples hooked in a jiffy!

For if there's one thing he's most happy about, its the sight of a young couple going off to enjoy life together. Of course, do make sure you don't anger the poor fellow, for he's been known to become severely depressed and turn the whole village into one giant place of mourning, while calling for a 'religious holiday', in which he's been known to spread the rumor of something horrible happening to the couple. Of course it isn't true, but not many can stop the silver tongue of gossip and the damage it can do to one's ego.

Rules
1.) No godmoding please, it's really annoying and doesn't show your creativety very well.
2.) I would like everyone to be as active as possible, though that doesn't mean it has to be rp all the time, but just being here in the thread to show me you're here is a good way to get on my good side. ^^ *hinthint*

Rp Terms

Chakra: Chakra is the resulting energy produced, when Physical and Spiritual energies become mixed together. Hand Seals are then used to harness this energy and expel it out of the body; Usually in the form of some kind of attack.

Genjutsu: This type of Jutsu is mostly illusionary, causing the target to see things in a dream-like state, or possibly confuse them. While this is happening it can allow the user to attack or possibly escape depending on the situation.

Ninjutsu: This type of Jutsu is most commonly used, and most of the time needs handseals to correctly concentrate the chakra into the right place and right time. It can be used in many ways.

Taijutsu: This Jutsu is better summed up as hand-hand to combat, the fundimentals of any fighter, but not necesarily everyone's strong point.

Missions: These are tasks that all/most ninja must deal with. There are different levels (basic errands: walking a dog, shopping ---& assination and protection) of missions that are suited for different ranks. The lower ranks will obviously get the easy tasks.

Special Jounin: Here be the teachers of the genin. In better times the genin were split off into groups of three called squads, each had it's own sensei (special jounin). But now that times are bad, most of the higher level ninja have been sent off to fight.

Basic Jutsu ((Info. credit to here. ))

Transformation Technique

Name: Henge no Jutsu, literally "Transformation Technique"
Users: All Ninja Academy graduates
This jutsu allows the user to assume the appearance of another person, animal, or object. This is one of the basic jutsu taught at the Konoha Ninja Academy. Fundamentally, all ninja know this jutsu.

Projectile Weapons

Name: Tobidōgu, literally "Projectile Weapons"
Users: Most ninja
In order to store and use items or weapons that the user would never be capable of carrying normally, the user can keep them contained within summoning scrolls. Puppets commonly have such scrolls attached to hidden compartments to produce extra arms and other similar features. Like the Summoning Technique, a small donation of blood is required to summon the items.

Exploding Tag: Activate

Name: Jibaku Fuda: Kassei, literally "Exploding Tag: Activate"
Users: All Ninja Academy graduates
Utilizing chakra, the user is able to activate the explosion mechanism of a distant bomb tag. The exploding tags that the Third Hokage used were different than the usual bomb tags, being yellow in color instead of white with a red border.

Cloak of Invisibility Technique

Name: Kakuremino no Jutsu, literally "Cloak of Invisibility Technique"
Users: All Ninja Academy graduates
This jutsu allows a ninja to take a cloak or a piece of cloth and blend into an object, making them invisible. Konohamaru uses this technique constantly in the beginning of the Naruto series to try and fool Naruto Uzumaki, but uses poor disguises (square rocks with eyeholes, cloaks that are incorrectly patterned or the wrong way round, or simply not covering himself completely), thus betraying the illusion. In the anime, Naruto has been somewhat practical at using this jutsu a couple of times.

Clone Technique

Name: Bunshin no Jutsu, literally "Ghost Clone Technique"
Users: All Ninja Academy graduates
This technique creates intangible clones of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. The illusions can be seen through by the Byakugan and the Sharingan. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.).

Body Replacement Technique

Name: Kawarimi no Jutsu, literally "Body Replacement Technique"
Users: All Ninja Academy graduates
This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise, which Sasuke has done twice in the anime. Fundamentally, all ninja know this technique. Being a rudimentary technique, it does not appear to require any handseals.

Body Flicker Technique

Name: Shunshin no Jutsu, literally "Body Flicker Technique"
Users: Most, if not all ninja above Genin level
This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily boost the user's reflexes. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance between the user and their intended destination. Shisui Uchiha, one of the most talented Uchiha, was feared as "Shisui of the Body Flicker" ("Shunshin no Shisui" wink , likely referring to this technique.

The Body Flicker technique has various variations among the different hidden villages, all of which involve some extra element aside from the movement itself. The extra element is usually some sort of substance used to distract the opponent, such as leaves or sand. Gaara, for instance, uses the "Sand Body Flicker" (Suna-Shunshin?), which uses sand to cover his movements. Other varieties include the "Mist Body Flicker" (Kiri-Shunshin?), "Water Body Flicker" (Mizu-Shunshin?), and "Leaf Body Flicker."

Okay, Simply put it might be a bit hard for ya'll to figure out who should actually be teaching who, and just what does a supposed teacher happen to deal with. So here I've compiled a datebase for all students to check on, who knows, if we get enough ninja we might even form squads. (Idea needs to be discussed.)

*Semi-retired due to being Hokage* Va's teacher info-Lethargic and apathetic, Va never seems to take an interest in his students unless he can feel a true strength with them. The students he has truly tutored usually go on to become great nin, but the ones he ignores can fare well on their own too. His style is more of a loose guidelined technique where he gives a vague instruction and just expects it to be done. Or simply gives a task that is impossible alltogether. Sometimes he makes mistakes in his intuition, but even then he doesn't seem to care if he did or not.

Toshi is a kind and very caring teacher, despite his cruel and harsh ways of training.He takes all his training seriously, so seriously he's called pessimistic alot, he is often found training himself in strange and bizarre ways. but is always open to training a student.....unless hes hungry, then it'll just have to wait.He trains in every feild, his area of expertise is tactics and mental combat though. Preferring to prepare the students for the rigors of choosing a missions sucsess over a freinds life, of having to kill innocent people to get the job done, or the horror of having to kill your best freind, just because he was hired by the enemy.He tells all his students to live to lives, Your life of a Shinobi, and then your life as a freind, family, or loved one. for mixing the two he says will only end in death. Afterwards though hes back to his usual wise cracking self.

Mission Board/Squads

Looks like with most of the higher ninja off fighting on the front lines, and the village protected by mostly the lower ranks, it has been decided that all low rank ninja will have to work in groups of three to partcipate in missions. For their safety and the safety of the village. These missions are seperate from those given out by Jine, the Anbu leader, and are meant to be as fun rp explorations for everyone. This post will be edited later for more information. (Da Ropin is tired and must go to bed.)
