This is Tet, the shop mascot!

The Maneki Neko is a common Japanese sculpture, usually displayed in shops and businesses, that is believed to bring good luck. Now you can bring yourself a bit of luck by buying your own Maneki Neko!

“Maneki Neko” means ‘beckoning cat.’ The name comes from the fact that the cat’s paw is raised in a gesture that appears to be beckoning a person to closer (or to come into the shop where it is placed). The beckoning cat is supposed to attract money and customers, and bring general luck.

Incidentally, “Maneki Neko Shoten” (pronounced mah-neh-key neh-co show-ten) means “Beckoning Cat Shop” in Japanese.

These are the fur colors currently available. Many traditional fur colors have attributes associated with them:

Calico cats are considered especially lucky and in Japan it is the most popular color for a maneki neko.
White cats show purity and is the second most popular type.
Black cats are believed to keep away evil, and occasionally are thought to bring good health.
Red cats are believed to keep away evil spirits and sickness.
Gold cats bring wealth.
Pink cats are associated with love.



I also have several non-traditional colors available.



You can even have a neko that's patterned like other animals.



You can also create your own fur pattern by choosing to add various fur markings.



You can chose the eye color on your neko from the ones below. You may also choose to have two differently-colored eyes at no extra charge.



Most Maneki Neko statues will have something around their neck, like a collar or bell, so I’m offering a selection of items to put around your neko’s neck.



There are now a number of extra options you can add to your neko.



You can also chose to have a different image on the coin (if you don’t pick an alternate image, your neko will have the standard lined coin. Also, lined coins are free.)

Rules:
1. Read the entire first page before ordering a neko.
2. Use only the order form provided to order a neko.
3. The art is made entirely by me, so NO STEALING.
4. Please keep swearing, the use of suggestive language, etc. to a minimum. As a general rule, try to keep everything permissible under a PG rating.
5. Obey the Gaia TOS and the rules of the forum.
6. Do not direct link the images; save them to your own server. Direct linking puts a strain on the server.
7. Do not beg, etc.

Pricing:
choice of single-color fur color and eyes = 300g
choice of patterned fur (calico, animal pattern) with choice of eyes = 350g
fur markings:
~add stripes= +40g
~add ears or tummy= +30g
~add tail tip, back paws or front paws= +20g each
Add neck accessory= +30g
Add extras (open mouth, eye patch, etc.)= +30g each
~earrings and studs cost 30g for one, 50g for two, 75g for three, 100g for four (the maximum: one stud and one earring on each ear)
Alternate coin: +30g
[Calico costs more because I will give each calico neko a unique fur pattern.]

Special edition prices=
Roxas cosplay neko: 700g
Previous cosplay nekos: 1,000g

How to order:
-Read all the rules, options, and pricing information.
-Fill out the form below.
-Post the form in this topic. Make sure to leave the code as it is; keeping it in that format and color helps me find orders among a page of posts.
-I will send you a PM with a preview image. Send me a trade with the correct amount of gold, and I’ll send you your order. Make sure the trade is titled “Maneki Neko order.”
-If you wish to include a donation/tip with your order, be sure to say "plus tip" or something similar in the title for the trade. Otherwise when someone sends extra in a trade, I'll PM the person to make sure the extra wasn't included by accident.



Remember: lined coins are free, and buying multiple earrings costs less; look at "Pricing" (above) for exact prices.
