Welcome to the official [And Original] Word Bump thread.
Here I will list Hints, Tips and tricks and anything else about Word Bump.
Feel free to stay and chat about the game, problems you've incountered, How many credits you've earned, anything you would like.

Word bump was released Thursday July 13th and is alreayd a big hit.
Everyones trying for big scores, Bonus items and credits.
These credits will soon be able to be used at Edmund`s HR Wesley to buy lots of different items.
Right now all you can buy with them are Bachelor's Caps.
Soon you should be able to get Graduates clothing as well.

The point of the game is to get your gold tiles to the top, How many gold tiles varys depending on how far in the game you are.
The farther you are the for tiles and less time you get.
You bump up the tiles by deleting letters above it. You do this by creating words with those letters, You can also use your letters that are in your gold tiles to help. But they won't vanish. You can pick any letters on the bored, They don't have to be touching. Work with small words when rushed. Don't forget about power-ups [See below] They can be very usefull. Take your time but watch the clock. Don't let your gold tiles drop off the bottom of the board or it's gameover for you.


If you are still getting blank boxes you can try and make words incorperating the gold tiles along with the blanks or other tiles. If all you have is gold tiles remember you can still use gold tiles when creating words.

Example -
Gold Letters 'GOLD'
You could try GO*L To give the illision you're spelling Goal.


Glitchs will most likely be worked out within the next little while.
Just stay calm, Follow my steps I'll get you through it.
Tell me about any new glitches, I'll try and sort them out right away.
I want to stay ontop of these things.

Hints and Tips

- Top 3 Levels Achieved -

- Bonus Levels -
You earn a Bonus Level every 5 levels.
Make sure the time bar doesn't run out before you get the tile to the top.
The tiles don't sink down when time is up, It just ends your game.

Color Spam - You don't have to make words, Just click boxs of the same colors. Must use three or more tiles to send.
Chatterbox - Make the Word Bump. [Once you have 4 coloums, Each row wil have Bump written in it, This helps to go quick] Spell it in order, don't get mixed up.
Item Grant - Get the item to the top to win it! [This comes every 30 Levels] And just like random events while roaming the site you have a chance at winning a [blue,pink,brown]box, or [wooden, gold]trunk. These are very rare to get. Once you notice your close to another item bonus, Get a Rainbow ball so you can blast the item right to the top.

- Power Ups -
This are balls you can shot at your gold tiles, Each different color has different Effects.
Use them wisly and only when needed.

Sticky [Red]- It locks your gold tile in place, That tile won't drop the next time the timer runs out.
Bump [Yellow]- Knocks out all tiles to the left and right of the golden tile that was hit.
Split [Blue]- Knocks out all tiles in X shape from golden tile

To aim a ball, hover your mouse over and slide it to the spot needed. Click to launch. You can only have one ball at the bottom at a time. If another ball comes rolling down it will morph with the one that was already there and change colors.

Purple Ball - [Split/Sticky]
Green Ball - [Split/Bump]
Orange Ball - [Bump/Sticky]
Rainbow Ball- [Bump/Sticky/Split] If a one ball [at least] of each color rolls into one, it will turn to rainbow. If launched the hit golden tile will launch straight to the top, So aim these at tiles that are getting low. Use these wisly and save till needed. Good hint to get one on the levels right before the Item bonus' [Every 30 levels].

- Levels & Credits -
Credits will soon be used to buy items at Edmund's Shot, Just like Tickets at Prize n' Joy.
The feature is not yet out, But for now you should save up.
There are only three types of Credits.
List is from early levels to later levels.
For every five levels after you start a new type of credit, You get the last amount of credits Times too.

Bachelor [1-30] Level 5 - 1 B credit, 10 - 2 credits, 15 - 4 credits, 20 - 8 credits. See you times the last amount by 2 to get your new amount you will recieve.
Mastor [31-60] You get 1 credit on level 35, Now continue with the Pattern.
Doctorate [60+] You get 1 credit on level 65, Now continue with the Pattern.

[1-30] You have 3 vertical rows.
[31-60] You have 4 Rows.
[61+] You have 5 Rows.
It does not add any more rows after level 61 [5 Rows]

- Hints, Tips, And Stuff to Remember -
-> Two letter words are your friend.
-> If your level won't load, Right click and select 'Play'. This no longer works.
-> You can hit enter to enter a word, Or double click the last letter [Occasionaly doesn't work]
-> Almost all words can be pluralized. So use up those 'S's.
-> Be quick, Go fast and watch all gold tiles, You should always try to keep all at least 3 rows away if you're having trouble. Just don't let them drop.
-> Save the Announce balls [Rainbow ones] Till needed.
-> Word Bump doesn't save your progress if you quit. But after you complete a level, you can just leave it open and and take a break.
-> It slows down a tad after every 30 levels, But a new row is added.
-> You can only have a max of 8 letters per word.
-> Almost all words they use in the gold tiles are use-able words in the game.
-> Your Credits you earn [Bachlor, Master ect.] Go straight to your inventory when you die.
-> You can still use your gold tiles once they reach the top.
-> You get less time in the bonus levels as they get harder.
-> Take breaks between levels, Let your mind rest, go chat for a bit, Pee-Break, Get a glass of water yada yada yada.
-> Just Relax, stay calm.

- Earnings Chart -

This chart shows how much is earned at each level. It shows Credits, And the Gold gain. This chart is very Accurate and well done.
The number after each [=] sign is the total of how much gold [Not Points] you will have made once you reach that level.

I'm glad I found this thread though, because I didn't know you could also hit ENTER to submit words... that ought to help a bunch! The word list is also great. Mini tip - Stock up & save your Rainbow ball.

Come's in handy for several different situations.

You only have 1 letter to remove to make it to the next round & that letter is Qu,Z,Y,V & you can't think of what to make.

The Item bonus round (just shoot that item right up) xd

You're about to have a gold letter drop off the screen (& it's the Qu,Z,V,Y)

And no doubt many other situations.

Here's a tip as well, during really fast levels and when your letters are at the bottom, make a lot of words using the letters above the golden ones. Also, Z words are also useful.

May want to mention this:

Unlike Gaia cards, Word Bump won't save your progress.

Example:

Get to level 31 and quit, you have to start all over at level 1 the next time you play.
