Flit is our mascot. He's a hummingbird, and was colored by Reitheneko, who also did the wonderful lineart for everything here. All credit for lineart is to her, and only her, unless lineart edits are made (and none have been at the time of this writing). Steal the lineart, and feel not only my wrath, but hers.
That's Flit. Isn't he cute?!

At some point, I may be hiring colorists. But for now, I will be the only colorist. So all coloring is credit to me, unless otherwise stated (there are several birds that came with the lineart that Rei colored, which I will sell at some point, and they will say they were colored by her.)
Each bird goes through three stages - egg, chick, and adult. It would be nice if you RP your learning experiences, these birds are somewhat telepathic. While they are eggs, they cannot do anything really, except be eggs. Don't RP eggs talking to you. It's not possible. But you can get feelings from the egg. An idea of what kind of personality the bird may have later on. When a chick, the thoughts are very rapid-fire, not controlled. The bird can't fly yet. It needs your protection, and if a prey type bird, it will hide if it sees predator type birds. There is the possibility of friendship, but it will be tough. They have instincts, and they want to survive. Now they can communicate with you, telepathically of course. The beak is not very well formed for words.
whee Once the chick reaches adulthood, friendships have hopefully formed, maybe it has grouped itself with a flock, or perhaps it is a predator and hunts alone. It has more control over it's thoughts. It comes to you because you have raised it well, but if you haven't, it may stray and have a stand-offish attitude.
Right now, we have three species of birds for you to choose from. Falcon, hummingbird, and dove. Prey type species are more common than a predator, as they come in droves. Falcons will be more uncommon. They will hunt alone, or in pairs, with their mate. Hummingbirds are territorial - they don't like sharing. Doves are peaceful by nature, they like to be in groups.
Customs may open at some point, I will place a post about them when that time comes.
The flatsale price for a bird depends on the species. Commons are 3k per egg. Uncommons are 5k. This will also be the starting bid in auctions.
Your bird will hatch in about one week. It will stay a chick for approximately two weeks depending on how active you are. Then it will grow to an adult, and it will stay that way forever.
