Welcome, one and all, to Memento Mori.


What sort of shop is this, you wonder? Well let me explain...

I've had many PMs sent to me about my profile, a good handful of which asking whether or not I do commissions. So here we are to answer that question.

Memento Mori is basically going to be my home thread where I auction off my services as a profile designer. I'm afraid that there won't be a set period when I have these auctions, but I will have more than one. So don't worry. If you miss out on one, there will be another. I just find this a much more managable approach than starting a new thread every auction. The thread is open for discussion and chat! In fact, it's highly encouraged. I welcome the company.

As far as experience runs, I've been hacking away at sites for roughly 6 years (on and off, give or take.) [cheers for hardcoding with notepade] When it comes to CSS I'd give that a good 2 years or so.

Even in estimation, I've been playing around with this sort of stuff for a while. I'm not entirely big on using another site's code, MySpace and Livejournal naming a couple sites off the top of my head that include customizable personal areas... I generally like to keep it hands off in such cases. However, with CSS, Gaia makes it much more easier to put a little bit of uniqueness into a profile. And that makes me very happy.

I was flattered to get as many compliments as I did on my profiles and I thank everyone that has given them. (Though, it is unfortunate, however that I've already had them ripped off twice.) But I've also gotten many requests and questions about doing profiles for others. Giving it some thought, I figured it would be a nice way to make a little gold. (What with the fact that all attempts as a graphics shop have all been for naught. [cough]) And so here we are!
Here are samples of some profiles I've done in the past; personal and otherwise:



Note: These are only examples of what I've done. The profiles that are bought will be done according to the bidder's specifications.

[DISCLAIMER:] Commercial images will not be used when making a profile. Art can only be use with the provided consent of the artist. Also, even when used, the proper disclaimer will be placed onto the profile theme, leaving all claims to images and such to their respective owners.

Do keep in mind that I am offering my services, so I hope that by placing a bid you fully understand and accept the following:

    [+] I offer my services in profile making. I will be open to your ideas for your profile wherein you specify what sort of theme it is you would like to have done. But I would like to be given enough room to play around with ideas and designs. I will come up with an initial setup and will have it up for a look over for you, the buyer, to pick and choose what you like and what you want changed. Fair, I think.

    [+] Along similar lines, I do hope that you're understanding in the fact that I do have a life and it involves family, friends, and other obligations. I'd have to ask that, if you are the winner of this bidding, you do not constantly pressure me into creating your layout ASAP. If you do so, I will most likely refund your money and start over again with hopes of finding a more understanding, more patient customer. (And I don't need any sass if that turns out to be the case.)

    [+] I ask that you please understand I will not work on profiles without first completing the trade. I didn't do things this way before, but I've done a couple profiles already that had taken time and effort. I have not received payment for them. I have to say it's tad upsetting to do all that work and not have payment for it.

    [+] I would think that, if you had invested a good lump sum of gold into my efforts, you would like to have it as unique and as specialized as possible. I would too, as it will more than likely take me a good amount of time to make. Sharing isn't a good thing in this particular case.

    [+] No complaining. If you feel that the price is too high, don't bid. It's fairly simple. If you're outbid, bid again. If I catch anything unfair, I'll take care of it. But please, a decent sense of etiquette, hm?

    [+] All bids will take place within the thread. No PMs please. I don't really appreciate them as much as others. This is the whole point of my making this thread. Please.. Use it as it was intended to be, hm?

    [+] I do reserve the right to decline service to anyone - before, during and after the bids. I hold the right to refuse any person's theme request if I feel it in anyway against TOS or just generally indecent, offensive, vulgar, etc. Deal.

These profiles are also made to buyer specifications. However, nothing will be rearranged and placement will remain as is. As it's descibed, the themes are merely skins that will replace the default Gaia profile images. These are considerably cheaper to give anyone a chance at their own personal page.

SYMPATHY for the Devil


Okay... So I've caved (Thanks Alpha. heart ) to starting my first Gaia quest. What do I want? A D-tail! My horns feel so incomplete without a devil tail, and I've wanted one practically since I joined. (And the date on this account isn't correct as Blood is a mule, believe it or not.)

This will be my first quest, so I'm very open to any help on the matter. (Is it best to quest with others, how to grab some nice amounts of gold, and any other awesome tidbit there is to questing.) I hope that the auctions help me get closer to my goal of attaining a Devil tail and all well wishing is more than appreciated!
