Well. It's been a while since one of these threads was created, but here we are again.

Somewhat like the 'official' re-opening celebration of the shop being revived, there are going to be quite a few pokemon up for grabs - through a series of raffles, auctions and (of course) a flatsale.

Don't be worried if there seems to be a bit of KH-ness in some of the pokemon ... blame that on Zoo's still going obsession. xp

Some might remember a flatsale we held a while (a long while, for that matter) ago that involved fishing. Well, considering the fact that that proved to be a fun event, both Zoo and myself wanted to do something else that was somewhat similar to that. :3

Like last time, this means of a flatsale will involve RPing (and quite a bit of it) along with the elements of luck and trivia.

Welcome to the SAFARI HUNT!
(begins 04/15)

There are a total of 10+ pokemon available in this flatsale, however the means of which one is to get one differs from the usual methods .. not to mention that it's somewhat random as to which one someone gets. However, don't let that discourage you from entering!

It costs a mere 100g to enter, and one gets a total of five pokeballs to use as she or he sees fit once in the designated area for this event.

Speaking of the area, this is where you all will be testing your luck this day:

Of course, while that is just a snippet of the overall area, it pretty much gives away all that it consists of grasses of all different types. Short, long, light, dark.. grass, grass and more grass. Of course, there are also a few rocks of varying sizes, along with trees and whatnot.

Mostly grass though.

Perfect setting for pokemon to hide, don'cha think?

FLATSALE
The following is all information for the flatsale. Read it.

How Things Work

You don't have to be the best of RPers to have a chance to win something from this event, so don't worry about that.

To start off, all participants are expected to RP themselves (or their trainer characters..) entering the safari area and beginning their hunt for starters. Then continue to RP until a single post of " eek " is posted.

That is the signal that a pokemon has appeared. Before anyone has a chance to attempt to capture it, though, another post will be made containing three to five questions of varying topics. Those interested in trying for the pokemon are then to PM PokeGenesis with the answers to those questions.

All those who successfully answer all of the questions will then be entered into a raffle, and three people will be chosen to post in-thread an RP post describing how they captured or got the pokemon. The best of those three (based on various factors) will then win the pokemon.. and find out which one it is they got. wink

Sounds simple enough, no?

Basic Guidelines

01. No discouraging others from trying/entering.
02. No fighting/arguing/bickering in the thread.
03. Co-owning is not allowed.
04. It is NOT required for you to drop by the main thread and/or RP although it IS required for evolutions . . . (see main thread for more details)
05. Patience is a virtue for a reason, y'know. wink

Event Guidelines

01. The flatsale has a flat entrance fee of 100g. Those interested in entering are required to send a trade of the designated amount to PokeGenesis. Trade subject should be "Sign me up for the Safari!".
02. (5) Pokeballs will be given to those who choose to participate, and these 'balls can be used however one sees fit. Keep in mind, however, that your stay in the safari zone lasts as long as your pokeballs. So use them wisely, eh?
03. New or late people interested in participating WILL be allowed to enter. As long as the fee is sent, there should be no problems - HOWEVER, for those entering after one segment of the event has begun will be required to wait until the next one begins to start RPing. New participants will be required upon their original post to introduce arriving at the safari, just as everyone is.
04. The pokemon someone has a chance to win is a surprise. It can be one of the commons, uncommon or rares. Just make sure to have 3k (3000g) to spare, since that's the highest one of them will go.
05. Once someone wins a pokemon, she or he can no longer participate in the flatsale. It's only fair.

** There will be around a fifteen minute to half an hour wait period (break) between FS segments. smile RPing is still allowed to be done during then, if one wishes to, however.

RPing Guidelines

01. If choosing to chat while RPing, please make sure to use some form of brackets or parenthesies to indicate that what you're saying has nothing to do with the actual roleplaying.
02. Do NOT make posts stating that you attempted to catch a pokemon, or caught one UNLESS you're one of the ones who are given that chance.
03. It's more than fine for people to pretend that they have a pokemon already, if only for this event. Existing PG trainers are also allowed to include their pokemon, if wishing to.
04. Try to be as creative as possible in your RPing, and in the capturing/gaining if you're lucky enough to get that chance. Keep in mind that not every pokemon has to be one that was captured through means of a pokeball.. perhaps you gained its trust in another way, shape or form? Who knows. Just use your imagination, as long as it's plausible and not out of the world.
05. I could care less about grammar/spelling as long as it's legible.
06. No godmodding.
07. Keep things PG13.

The following is all information for the auctions. Read it.

Basic Guidelines

01. No discouraging others from entering. (this includes guilttripping/talking about funds/ecetera.)
02. No fighting/arguing/bickering in the thread. If having problems with someone, take it elsewhere.
03. Co-owning is not allowed.
04. Co-bidding IS allowed, although keep in mind the no co-owning rule.

Auction Guidelines

01. Make certain to state which pokemon you're bidding on.
02. No editing or retraction of bids. If a mistake is made when bidding (ie. totaling wrong) then make a new post to correct it.
03. Donation letters (and their respective items) are accepted and valued at low-TG (Teh Guide) *
04. Store items are accepted and valued at sellback value. (Fairy Wings valued at 35k)
05. Total up all bids yourself.
06. Payment is expected up to 24hours after the auction ends, unless stated otherwise.

Anti-Snipe: No new bidders will be accepted in the last hour of the auction.

Raffle Guidelines

01. It costs 100g per ticket. Tickets are unlimited.
02. One is not allowed to choose number(s) of slots.
03. Buying tickets for someone else IS allowed. Just make certain to let me know if that's the case.
04. If wishing to purchase tickets, post this in the thread: "Drive me up!" along with the number of tickets you wish to purchase. Make sure to include the total amount of gold owed.
05. Pure gold is preferred as methods of payment HOWEVER I will accept donation letters or items in place of payment as well. Number of tickets gain depend on the item's worth (going off low-end TG).
06. Do NOT send trades until I confirm your post. Once confirmed, trades should be sent over to PokeGenesis.

04. Considering this raffle is free, it'd be much appreciated (and more or less expected) if the winner makes an effort to stop by/RP in the main thread. Otherwise, if push comes to shove, we reserve the right to take away the pokemon and place it with a new owner.

Raffle Guidelines

01. There is no cost to enter.
02. A person is allowed up to ten (10) tickets to do whatever she or he wishes to with. Such as, use five for one of the available pokemon, and five for the other. Or any combination thereof. Or, let's say, five tickets towards a pokemon you're interested, and five tickets to give to someone else for whatever reason. Whatever is allowed, as long as the total amount of tickets someone uses is a maximum of ten (10).
03. It is allowed to give tickets to someone else, although doing so forfeits some (or all) of one's chances to enter.
04. Make all ticket requests in this thread, in the manner of "I'd like some of that!". Make sure to include however you wish the tickets to be divided, pokemon (or two) you're entering for and/or person you're giving the tickets to.
05. Requesting a certain spot is not allowed. (ie. "I want five tickets from one through five!" wink
06. Tickets are unlimited.
