2006, April 06: The upcoming flatsale's date has been announced. Well, it's more like a tentative date but, uh.. I guess we'll see? I might move it back a day, or something. All depends. =_=; Some might remember the fishing FS that was held a while back - this one is kind of like that was, although not quite. But it is NOT a speed-based sale. :3 So no worries 'bout that. As usual, an event thread will be created, and there with be the normal auctions and raffle (or two) going on as well. Whee.
2006, March 24: Special auction for cosplay pokemon has started! If interested in bidding or just checking out how a Delcatty!Sora, Persian!Riku or a Vaporeon!Tidus look, feel free to head on over to the auction thread. (link)

2006, February 12:
- Created a new thread, as I've been meaning to for a while now. Over the (hopefully) next week, all sections will have been revised and updated.
- Considering that this is a somewhat 'new beginning' for PG, the greylist and blacklist have been cleared, and all those who had been on them are free to participate within the thread once more - of course, only if they wish to, that is.
- Some might also notice that Chibizoo is no longer listed as an owner of the store. Reason being for such is that she stepped down of her own accord, and full ownership was given to me (Atarashii). She will remain the sole artist of the shop, however.

The breaking and disregard for the following rules can (and more than likely) will result in grey/blacklisting.

Rules might be subject to change in the future.

01 First and foremost - Do not, under any circumstance, steal/alter/claim any of the images. The same goes with concepts/ideas.
02 Please do not PM my main account (Atarashii) unless told otherwise. On the same note, feel free to PM the mule with questions you might have, as long as it's something other than current availability.
03 Keep in mind the golden rule: treat others as you, yourself, would like to be treated in return; fighting/arguing/harrassing of others in the thread will not be tolerated.
04 Use common sense. This means no posting content over the PG13 rating, among other things.
05 No advertising.
06 Co-owning is not allowed.
07 Posting/RPing is not required, although encouraged. Not to mention that those who are active in this thread might be more eligible for 'special' events.
08 PATIENCE. I have a life outside of Gaia and the internet in general.
09 Direct-linking is fine until the pokemon hatches (in the case of breedings) Otherwise, please save onto your own image host/servers. This is due to the fact that it'd take a while for any pokemon to evolve, and thus it's easier just to have trainers re-save all updated certificates.

Flatsales are held once a month or so, and can feature from three to five different pokemon. The type of flatsale is often one of three different kinds, and are listed below with a brief explanation of what it is; the lower down the list, the rarer it is for that form to be held.

Raffle: Each pokemon has its own set of questions to be answered, and the first tend to get a certain number of questions correct is entered into a drawing for that particular pokemon.
RP: Either a prompt is given for people to answer, or an activity is held where RPing is a huge factor.
Speed: Based on whoever is the fastest in claiming the pokemon of his or her choice.

Each flatsale will be announced at least a few days to a week ahead of the actual date, along with the type of flatsale it'd be.

Flatsale Pokemon

TENTATIVE DATE FOR FLATSALE:
06/04/15

There are far too many to post the images here. Plus I kind of want it to be a surprise. mad Sooo. No previews this time around. Sorry!

Raffles are held most often alongside an ongoing flatsale/auction.. it's kind of rare for one to be held by itself, though not impossible either.

Free: People do NOT have to pay for tickets, nor for the pokemon should she or he win. There is a set amount of tickets per person, although other (free) means of acquiring more might be available.
Paid: It costs gold to get tickets.

Raffle Pokemon

Auctions are held at least once a month, and usually follow the format of selling one legendary and two other pokemon (normally one dark, one shiny)

That isn't always the case, though.

Auction Pokemon

There's a new option for getting a pokemon dubbed along the lines of being a 'grab bag' method.

(1) Sealed Envelope (or donation letter(s) of combined value of more than 5k, less than 10k) - Common
(3) Sealed Envelope (or donation letter(s) of combined value of more than 15k, less than 20k) - Uncommon

Trainers who choose this option will get a pokemon that's of a random species, colour, gender and nature.

Like stated in the general guidelines, RPing is not required . . . but even so, it's one of the factors Pokemon Genesis focuses on the most. This doesn't mean that trainers have to create journals (although they can if they want to, I guess) for all RPing can be done here in the thread.

When RPing, please keep in mind the following guidelines specific to such. Breaking of them can result in some sort of punishment.

- Keep all content PG13.
- When talking outside of an RP post, please use some form of indication that you're OOC (out of character). This can be done by use of ((. . .)) or [. . .]
- Please make certain that all posts are legible (to the best of your abilities)
- No god-modding.

Some other things which need to be addressed (recommended that all people read over this, too)

- There are no evil/bad organisations outside of 'The Facility'. Yes, this means no Team Rocket, Team Magma, etc. It's alright to have a character that has an evil/bad persona, though . . . as long as s/he makes no claims to be part of The Facility.
- No one is allowed near or in The Facility save for authorised personnel.

In version 2.0 of Pokemon Genesis, the evolution system has undergone a drastic change.. instead of being based upon levelling one's pokemon up, it's going to be a set thing, instead based on a trainer's activeness in the store/guild.

Depending on whether you're an active trainer or not, the following amount of time is how long it'd take for all level-based pokemon to, well, evolve.

For pokemon with more than one evolution, the next evolution's time amount starts over from their previous evolution. (ie. Pidgey takes one month to evolve. Pidgeotto will then take another month or so to evolve, etc.)

Common Pokemon
Evolution 01: (1) month.
Evolution 02: (1) month.
Evolution 03: (1 1/2) to (2) months.
Uncommon Pokemon
Evolution 01: (1) month.
Evolution 02: (1) to (1 1/2) months.
Evolution 03: (1 1/2) to (3) months.
Rare Pokemon
Evolution 01: (2) months.
Evolution 02: (2) to (2 1/2) months.
Evolution 03: (2 1/2) to (3) months.
Hybrid Pokemon
Evolution 01: (2 1/2) months.
Evolution 02: (2 1/2) months.
Evolution 03: (3) months.

* Please realise that the above evolution times are NOT set in stone. It's quite possible that a pokemon's evolution will occur sooner or later than expected, based upon various factors. Though there will be an effort made so that most, if not all, pokemon evolve when it should. (This is more or less geared towards pokemon whose evolutions have the lineart and stuff already taken care of.)

Evolving a pokemon which relies on happiness factors have undergone a change as well. The activeness of a trainer still does play a minor role in determining a bit of their pokemon's happiness, however.. to make things easier to keep track of, one's activity in the guild is important as well.

People who are interested in evolving a pokemon based on happiness should know that it'd evolve when it hits around 230-250 (max) and is at least one month old.

Pokemon start at around 50HP (happiness points).

Methods in increasing or decreasing a pokemon's happiness are as follows:

Decrease
Inactiveness: -5 per (2) weeks.
Increase
Activeness: +5 per (2) weeks.
Joining guild: +5 (one time deal)
Creating a trainer's journal: +5 (one time deal)
Event participation: +10
Rare Candies: +10
RPing: +5 per post (of more than one paragraph of five+ sentences) *

* It's near impossible at times to keep track of RPing done in the store, though it is allowed. So it is suggested to post logs of RPing done in the store in one's journal.

Stone evolution is one of the easiest methods a pokemon can be evolved at. As long as the pokemon in question is over one month old, and the needed stone has been purchased, then it should evolve before too long.

Item evolution is also quite simple, though there will be a small fee in order to complete these types. The pokemon in question should be over one month old, and the needed item has been purchased. The trainer will then 'trade' their pokemon with the store; it'd then evolve and be 'traded' back. It costs 250g to trade with the store.

Trading is now an option available for trainers who desire to do so with other trainers. The process is simple enough, and outlined in the steps below.

01. Two trainers agree to trading their pokemon. In order to insure that both parties are willing, each person should PM this account stating so. The best means of letting me know is by having a PM similar to the on below:

"I have made an agreement to trade pokemon with *other person's username here*.

I'm trading my Growlithe (Kiros) for her Pidgeot (Hermes).

*cert link/image of YOUR pokemon here*"

02. I will confirm the PMs from each trainer; after recieving the confirmations, each person should send a trade of 1000g to Atarashii. Trade subject should be something like the following:

"PokeTrade: Growlithe (Kiros) - Pidgeot (Hermes)"

03. Once both trades have been completed, the pokemon will be recerted to reflect their new trainer's username, and that's that!

For those who want to GIVE their pokemon to someone else, all that is needed to be done is to let me know which pokemon, and who it's going to.

There is no fee for giving someone a pokemon.

That does not mean that Person A can give Person B a pokemon, and then Person B just happens to give a pokemon right back to Person A.

.. I'm not stupid.

* Like with trading in the games, traded pokemon cannot have their nicknames, genders or natures changed. Same goes with pokemon given from one person to another.
