In post-Meiji Revolution Japan, a former Shinsengumi member got away from being captured and now runs a live-in dojo, training children in the art of kendo. All is well now that he assumes a new identity. A stubborn and tough master, he know uses his swordsmanship skills to teach children and teenagers discipline, not to kill as his sword was used for in the past. His life is quite boring until he gets a new student, one almost as stubborn as he is. And while the master gets annoyed frequently with the antics of the kid and the boy seems to rebell as much as possible, they end up being brought together and share a night together, only for the boy to run away and go missing for 10 years.
Resolved that his one-time lover was never to return, he moved on with his life as a master, though never forgetting how the boy touched his heart that night. Then one day... the boy returned, only his fiery nature had been obviously broken, and he was hanging onto life by threads. The former Shinsengumi took him back in, resolute to heal the boy and make him his lover.

1. This is a yaoi roleplay, meaning maleXmale relationships. If you don't like this, don't join and please, don't flame!
2. This is also a literate roleplay. That means you must have good grammar, be able to spell most words correct (besides 'the', 'a' ,'or', etc, people!), and write paragraph posts.
3. No Netspeak. It's annoying.
4. DON'T use brackets in roleplaying. Examples: *moves his sword downward*, -dodges-, etc. On the other hand, DO use brackets for OOC.
5. Please keep OOC talk to a minimum, such as saying that you must go or will be right back, that sort of stuff. We have an OOC thread for off topic discussions and to talk to other roleplayers.
6. Don't test the PG-13 limit. If it's anything below the neck, don't post it.
7. PM me with your application, NEVER post applications in this thread. You will automatically not be allowed in. Please type 'I read the' as your PM subject.
8. Cursing is allowed, but don't overuse the words, it's tacky.
9. Godmoding, magic, demonic, non-Japanese weapons, or Ninja techniques are not to be used when fighting in this rp.
10. Follow the storyline. It's there for a reason. When you submit your information for joining, please make your font blue to show you've read the rules entirely.

Note that last names are first, first are last and that ages are based on when Norito returns to the dojo. Also, the images I used are obviously not all of samurai. It was hard to find an artist who drew a whole bunch of samurai, and I wanted to make sure the images were all by the same artist. Because of this, please only consider the persons actually physical features and not their clothes. ^^
Matsuda Seishuu- The Master. He is a stubborn, unrefined man. He is quite gruff and easily annoyed by people who don't do exactly as he asks. Once a part of the Shinsengumi, he knows how to kill and his hands are definitely not innocent, which he makes evident. He is very intelligent, but he doesn't always show it, prefering to be considered as only a great swordsman. [Role played by Ren no Kage]

Saitojima Norito- A stubborn, spoiled "kid" in his late teens. He speaks what's on his mind, not what is wished for. He seems to be naive about the war, but maybe he's not letting anything on. Quite lazy, he never really seems to work to his full potential and rarely gets to practice on time. He likes to talk. A lot. [Role played by Demi'chan]

Hayako Takeshimi- Saitojima's best friend, who is on the other hand pretty kind and studies kendo very hard. He is a very responsible person most of the time, but still is fun-loving and enjoys practical jokes. He seems very focused and serious at first, but is really laid back and easy going in reality. [Role played by [Momoko..Hyogen]]

Ohno Akihito- After Norito leaves, this young man begins to attend the kendo dojo. He falls for the Master easily, despite his bitter and angry personality. He doesn't really have friends and tells everyone that he prefers to be alone than with people "beneath him". He hates Norito very much. [Role played by SilverAkisame]

Matsuda Atae- Seishuu's son from his marriage. His wife was sickly and died in childbirth. He was sent off to live with relatives, Seishuu feeling uncapable of raising a child. He is very shy and quiet, but he is very kind. He is a very innocent person, which sometimes causes problems. He ran away from his relatives to find his father. Sadly, as much as he tries to wield a sword, he is unskilled at fighting. [Role played by MiniSamurai]

Kunimi Tokuzou- He is a very beautiful and promiscuous guy. He is excellent at kendo and many other martial arts. He is flirty and teasing most of the time, but can get quite pissed off sometimes. He cries a lot and most people think him very sentimental and sensitive. He is quite full of himself, as well. [Role played by Sheamaru]

However, one year in his young teens. The village came under attack by not humans but wolves, his left eye was taken from him, by the claws of a beast.
