The charity is temporarily reopened, though I am reviewing whether my inattentive service to the applicants is really benefiting anybody. If anybody would like to weigh in on this, please comment in the thread.

The Giving Back to Charities event was a huge success. Thank you to those who participated in an effort to raise funds for us or another of your favorite charities. Thanks to the efforts of the involved Gaians and their purchase of lottery tickets, our charity yielded nearly 50,000 gold. Special thanks to Jenn, also known as forgivnmuch, for her selfless coordinating and hosting of the event.

We are currently taking submissions for a "Tips for Newbies" section. If you are a seasoned quester and would like to share your advice, please post your pointers. We are also always taking submissions for fun poll questions. The more often we change the poll, the more chance everybody has to earn gold!

Our charity is finally starting to attract the interest of Gaians. I've donated more gold this week than I had in the two months previous. I'm so excited to help others attain their goals on Gaia. However, we can use some help, too. I've personally given at least 20k of my personal gold, which is putting a wedge between me and my own quest for Golden Laurels. I would like to set aside some gold to use specifically for the charity, and am asking for donations to do so.

In celebration of my halo quest's 2nd anniversary, I wanted to give back to the supporters of my quest in a way that let them know how much I appreciate all their continuing support. So I started the Giving Back to the Charities events. (going on now through Oct. 17th)
My goal is to raise 800k to split between the awesome charities that have supported my quest over the past 2 years. ^^ Sweet Melissa's Sponsorship charity is one of the 10 charities that will be represented during the event. You can support Melissa's charity by purchasing Giving Back to the Charites lotto tickets @ 500g each and you could win an angelic bracelet, mythril halo or 1 of up to 13 september 07 letters. (angelic bracelet WILL be handed out as the grand prize on oct. 18th, regardless of ticket sales. mythril halo & letters will either be donated to the charities/handed out as prizes depending on the number of ticket sales. check out event itself for more info)
Don't want to buy tickets? There are many other ways to support Sweet Melissa's Charity and still win. There are 7 other chances to win Sept. 07 letters. I don't believe in blacklisting, but if you are disrespectful, post distasteful things, or stretch my pages, I will ask you to delete your posts and not return. We're friendly people, and we wish to conduct ourselves and our thread in a courteous manner.
If you have something that you wish to contribute, then please post it in the thread or PM it to me. The other staff members and regulars of the thread will not be taking contributions on behalf of the charity. They all have their own quests, so they will graciously take anything sent to them as a direct donation.
If you wish to be sponsored, then please fill out the application that is provided two posts below this one. I am generally impatient with people with a lack of reading comprehension skills and will blatantly ignore any requests for sponsorship that are not addressed to this thread in the format provided by the application. Do not PM your application to me or anybody else in this thread. Applications sent via PM will be ignored.
If our charity sponsors you by helping you to set up a quest thread, bumping your thread, or donating, then you must link to us. I will provide code for banners you may add in the next post. If you don't like my banners, then figure out some other way to link back to this charity.
I will not put more effort into your quest than you do. I will not be more active in bumping your quest threads than you are. I am sponsoring too many people to show more enthusiasm for any quest than the quest owner themselves. If I see that you've lost interest in your quest, then I will drop you without warning.
I will not sponsor any user whose use of Gaia violates its Terms of Service. This includes, but is not limited to, users who were previously banned (banning is not an invitation to re-register), underage users (Gaia currently has a minimum age requirement of 13 years old) and any persons uploading illegal content to the site.

Well intro. time for myself. I'd be Roux-Roux and I'm one of the home quester on this thread. Since I'm such a fickle person, my quest may change often depending on my mood and how hopless I feel my current quest is mrgreen . Right now I'm mainly questing for the Striped Stockings. But I'm also saving for everything else on this sample and I'm also saving for anything else on my wish list.
