Name: Raziel
Gender: Male
Nicknames: Raz, Razi
Animal: Cat (Tabby)
Guardian: Kaiyumi
Age: Child

Likes: Silence, reading, writing, music, and the colors orange, silver and black.
Dislikes: People overall, loud sounds, anything 'fluffy' or 'cute', the color pink, and just anything girly.

Personality: Raziel is quite untrusting at first. He dislikes others, and prefers to stay a loner. Though he may seem cold and distant, if you get to know him, and break through his shell, he's quite fun-loving and kind...but it's still quite rare, even if you do befriend him. Razi is very protective over those he cares about, and is also very stubborn.

He also happens to be very curious at times, though tries not to show it. Raziel is able to move quickly and silently, and often ends up surprising people since he it seems as if he is sneaking up on them. He is also incredibly intelligent for his age, because of his curiousity and love for reading and studying.

After staring at these for about 10 minutes straight, Kaiyumi decided to buy Raziel and a couple of his friends some of these.

Raziel's 'family' members, whom live in the same home as him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Raziel lives in a HUGE family, with both humans and creatures. Though Raziel does not speak to them often, he does look up to one of them, Sasuke, as both a brother and a teacher.
Because of this, he seems to have a personality similar to Sasuke's.
Raziel played with Ashkii when both he and Yachiru came to his home. Raziel seems to like the company of both Ashkii and Yachiru, and consider them to be his friends...Wow. xDD He finds Ashkii to be a very friendly boy.
~ Lately however, Ashkii has become an extremely quiet child due to some events and, trying to be a good friend, Raziel is determined to help him.
User Image
Raziel also met Yachiru at the playdate with Ashkii. At first impression, Raziel thought that she seemed too shy, and she later cried, but for once, he decided to be sweet. He and Ashkii managed to stop her from crying, and Raziel considers her a friend as well.
~ Now that they're both grown up, Raziel finds Yachiru easier to talk to, since her vocabulary has grown. He still seems extremely protective of her, Ashkii, and Helen's well being, but doesn't show any of it.
Quote:
You pick up the ringing phone to find Rorika's shaky voice on the other end. She sounds very upset as she greets you. You ask her what's wrong, and hesitantly she tells you that your child has been snatched up by a hunter that managed to sneak in while they were playing at the estate. However, she assures you she'll be able to retrieve them before any harm is done.
Keeping in mind Rorika has never failed to keep her word, what will you do? Wait patiently? Somehow locate the hunters? How does the aftermath of this situation effect your child?
Note: You may play Rorika as much or little as needed.
Brrring. The phone rang, echoing through the empty hallway. Brrrrringgggg Again and again it rang. Finally, a girl dashed into the hallway, skidding on the mat and slamming into the wall. At the last moment, she grabbed the phone. The girl landed with an oof, before holding up the phone to her ear.
"Uhm...Kaiyumi...speaking..." She muttered into the reciever, using the wall to support herself as she rose.
"Kaiyumi? This is Rorika..." The voice was quiet, just slightly audible. Even if she hadn't stated her name, Kaiyumi would have known whom it was in an instant.
"Rorika! What may I do for you?" The line was silent, and a sick feeling started to grow in Kaiyumi's stomach.
"What's...what's wrong?" Kaiyumi asked, after a moment. The woman on the other line cleared her throat, though her voice still quavered as she spoke.
"Your child was...was captured by a hunter. The children had been playing outside when a hunter snuck is, grabbing your child..." Kaiyumi's legs instantly weakened, and she pressed her back against the wall, sliding down until she met the floor.
"Captured...?" She whispered meekly, her body now shaking a bit. Captured by a hunter?! Who knew what those sick people would do to him! He was a mere child...
"It's alright." Rorika said hastily. "I'll be able to get him back before anything happens. He'll be alright." Kaiyumi felt as if there was a hint of doubt in her voice, but she murmured an, 'alright' and a 'goodbye' before rising slowly to her feet, replacing the reciever.
Rorika would keep her word. She always did. Still, the thought of that tiny hint of doubt that had been in her voice brought her fear. She would wait...wait for news from Rorika.
The minutes ticked by, each intense. Kaiyumi's heart wouldn't stop pounding, and her mind whirled dizzily. Honestly, she couldn't just STAND there while some hunter was capturing animals, one of which was her child. What was she to do? She was going to find these hunters, find the creatures they had captured, and free them. Kaiyumi would also have to pray they were all alright.
She moved towards the door, snatching her coat of the hanger and hastily putting it on before stepping out of the door, quickly locking it behind her. She frowned a bit as she noticed the gray sky, and the soft pitterpatter of rain as it hit the ground. Where to look first? Rorika said that they had been playing in the estate. That was a good start. She took one look at the rain, before running out from her cover, and towards the estate.
Quietly, the girl lurked there, behind a tree. She peered out a bit, before quietly sneaking over to the area, in which Rorika said the children had been playing in. Kaiyumi's eyes scanned the area, a frown tugging at her lips. What clues could she find that would alert her of where the hunter was? Her gaze darted around as she took another tiny step forward, and right into mud. "Uck..." She grumbled, leaping back. In front of the mud however, were tracks. Not those of an animals, but heavy boots. She examined them for a moment, bending low.
"They MUST be the hunters..." Kaiyumi whispered fiercely after a moment of examination. Quickly and silently, she followed them to the road, where the stopped, leaving instead of pair of tire tracks. "For once I'm glad it rained..." She grumbled, running alongside the tracks.
Perhaps she should have worn more. Coughing, the girl skidded to a stop in front of what was a wire fence. Behind it was a trailer, various cages, all of which were empty. Or at least, it seemed like that were all empty, if it were not of the shadow that lurked within one of the cages. It moved every so often, growling and clawing at the cage. Kaiyumi's eyes widenened. That must be her child...it must! There had to be a way to get in...
Before she could find one however, a figure stepped out of the trailer, a cage within his hand. He paused at the cage containing Kaiyumi's child, kicking it lightly with his foot. "Shut up you wretched animal!" He snapped. Kaiyumi clenched her fists in fury, but it was then she realized she was in clear sight. In a second, she dived into a nearby bush.
The bush's twigs jabbed her, and the sound of cracking twigs and leaves were quite audible. The rustling of the leaves seemed to have caught the hunter's attention, but he then excused it for the wind. "I'm off to find some more animals." He spoke, mainly to the child. "Don't you dare try to get out." He roughly pushed the cage aside, before moving towards a tiny door at the side, unlatching it and stepping out. It was now Kaiyumi noticed, with horror, the weapons that was slung over his shoulder.
'You're the wretched one...' Kaiyumi thought bitterly. 'I'll see to it you won't capture anymore animals...' She watched him leave, hands clenched so tightly with both anger and fear.
When he was clear out of sight, Kaiyumi leap out from his hiding place, and dashed towards the door, which the hunter hadn't bothered to latch. "Idiot..." She grumbled as she entered. Though the hunter had indeed left, she kept quiet, sneaking towards the cage. Bright eyes stared back at her as the animal pushed itself to the back of the cage. Kaiyumi's damp, black hair hung messily over her eyes, dirt and leaves scattered about. Her clothes were a bit torn here and there, and brown with dirt. Despite all this, she refused to quit. "It's alright..." She murmured softly, as she bent down to look at her child. "You'll be fine..." That is, once she got the stupid lock off the cage. She glanced around wearily, realizing it was probably INSIDE the trailer. "I'll be back..." Rising, she went towards the trailer, opening the door.
The keys were right there on the table. 'The idiot didn't latch the fence, didn't lock his door, and he leaves his keys right there...I guess I should be thankful though...' Kaiyumi grabbed the keys, only to let her eyes wander towards the walls. Her throat tightened with horror at the sight of hunting tropies. The tropies seemed to watch her with their glass eyes, with a look of horror, or pleading. 'All these animals...what a sick person...' She looked away, running out of the trailer, but the sight still seemed to flash in her mind. Those eyes...
Pushing it all away, she went towards the cage with her child, unlocking it. She tossed the lock to the side as the cage door swung open. Kaiyumi then stepped back when the feline padded out, amber-hued eyes cold. He hissed, back arching. The girl's heart beat with fear. What was wrong? He had never acted like this before...
"Damn...I couldn't find any animals today..." A man's voice grumbled, swearing. 'The hunter's back!' Kaiyumi thought in horror. Her eyes darted back towards the feline, and her heart sunk as she saw the hatred in his eyes. His hatred of humans. 'Damned hunter! It was all his fault!' Though as she thought this, she felt a bit of guilt herself. She sat there quietly, before realizing that the hunter neared with every second. She had to get her child out of here! Pulling off her coat, she quickly, yet gently, grabbed her child, wrapping him in the warm coat, despite his growls. "Listen to me. That hunter is no good...but not all people are like him..." She whispered as she ran out of the fence, and back towards the estate. "Some people are cold, and have hatred within themselves for others. Others however care of others, and set their lives to protecting them..." Despite all this, the child still squirmed, growling and nipping at the girl's hand.
'Because of this experience...it seems that he'll never trust another human again...because of the hunter's cruelty and abusive nature to animals...' Kaiyumi thought. 'He'll never be the same again...'
A Brief Meeting
((Hmm. Visit with Auntie Kierla~nyu... ))
Kierla plodded along. How much farther...? Ah. There. She caught sight of the familiar house, and picked up her steps.
Yachiru snugged in Kierla's arms. "Ma...ma.." she warbled sleepily, then shifted her wings into a more comfortable position. Then she gave a great yawn, showing off tiny pointed teeth, and opened her bloodred eyes. All traces of last night's crying were gone by now.
Sitting up in Kierla's arms, Yachiru looked around at the scenery rushing by. Where were they going today?
((Also...seeing as you can't really see much of Yachiru's actual body-structure and her animal traits in her pic~nyu, just to let all know Yachiru doesn't have any arms, because that's where her bat wings are~nyu. XD ))
((I'll go next, I suppose ^.^))
Aletea had been so excited by Ashkii's shedding his skin, that she felt the need to come seen Rorika again. Rorika did want them to stop by occasionally so that she could check up on his growth, afterall. So it seemed like a good time for his first outing.
Though getting him to wear a shirt had been pretty difficult...he didn't seem to like them much.
As she entered the grounds though, and made her way over to the house, she saw another person. Well...a person and a baby - another shifter? It looked like one. "Oh~hello."
In her arms, Ashkii watched with curious eyes.
((wah-- sorry. ^^ breakfast time~ alright. I go next?))
Bekira had borrowed one of those little dog carriers off her friends. Friends, because actually she had borrowed three-- this was the only one that remained free of bite marks and with strong handles. Helen hated being carried in any compartment, but what would people say if they saw them walking down the street? No. Foxes were cute, but they weren't really accesories.
"We're here Helen." Bekira said, a little bit exasperated. "I'll let you out as soon as we get inside."
A little grunt answered back.
Bekira rolled her eyes.
A baby and already she was skilled at being the sulky brat.
Well. Hopefully this was only a result of motion sickness.
Bekira stopped, close enough at the door to see two others.
Huh.
Kierla blinked. People. How nice. She wondered what they were doing here. Shifting Yachiru over to one arm, she used her other to wave at the three. No, four; there was something or someone in the carrier.
Were they Shifters, like Yachiru? She thought so, but didn't know how to ask without breaking the rules. So she just settled with a simple, "Hello, I'm Kierla. And this is Yachiru. Yachiru, say hello..."
During the simple greeting, Yachiru blinked slowly at the strangers, her big eyes getting even wider. Then, her mouth opened, and let out the farthest thing from a hello.
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Aletea opened her mouth to offer a friendly greeting, but the screech from Yachiru cut her off. And then, a moment later, so did Ashkii.
Ashkii's eyes growing just as large as Yachiru's, his mouth opened and he began to cry. The little boy had been frightened by it, and he quickly buried his face in his mothers clothing, trying to hide. The quail had been curious and friendly at first, but that initial greeting frightened him.
He'd get over it soon enough, so long as she didn't continue to screech.
In the meantime, he'd just soak Aletea's clothing with his crying.
Aletea hugged Ashkii, muttering something to him in the hopes to soothe him. She managed a quick smile and a greeting, "Aletea, nice to meet you...and this little guy here's Ashkii."
Bekira blinked at the noise. The screech was enough to have her wonder if this was a good idea. Maybe she'd come back in the afternoon... or better yet, tomorrow? Yeah. Tomorrow sounded really good.
Helen however, was going to have none of that. The noise had her rouse from her sulk and peer out over the gridding. Letting out a curious chirrup, she scratched at the edges, seeing not only a really wierd thing that was letting out funny noises, but the other... thing. Thing! Thing looked fun!
Bekira looked down at the bag.
"I guess I'm staying." she murmured.
"My name is Bekira." she said, introducing herself as well. "And this, this is Helen."
Arianna moved up to the door of the house, Gawain held expertly in the crook of her arm. She was actually rather used to visiting places when she recieved new charges. Luka was brought back to the Pandre shop often to interact with others like him, so the situation with Gawain was somewhat similar. She was about to turn the knob when she heard a high-pitched noise. She paused for a moment, blinking uncertainly before she opened the door slowly and peered inside.
Gawain turned his head toward the house at the nose. He blinked his silver eyes curiously, but didn't say anything about it. He watched Ari's head disappear through the door crack for a moment before it appeared again and she took him inside. She walked into the room where the others were and glanced about, wondering if everything was alright.
Yachiru was now positively terrified. First, people! SCARY PEOPLE! had come along. Then one was making scary loud noises. She was too far gone to realize that she was making the exact same noises, and only bawled louder and louder. Then, something scratched; THERE WAS SOMETHING IN THE CAGE-THING. OMG. And she screamed louder, tears pouring thick and fast down her cheeks. Then, as if that wasn't enough...MORE STRANGERS! Her face no longer looked cute; it was blotchily red and her eyes and mouth screwed up in a neverending cry of agony and fear and despair.
She nodded toward each person as their name was said - though she did not smile - and turned to the newcomers. "Greetings," she said. She made no move to quell the crying Yachiru, holding the girl like a sack of potatoes, her mouth stubbornly neutral - neither smiling nor frowning.
Aletea could feel herself growing incredulous; that woman's child was howling like a banshee - scaring Ashkii - and she was doing nothing to comfort the child. Forcing a smile onto her face, she tilted her head in apology to the others (and a new one was there as well).
"Excuse me for a minute..."
And with that, she stepped into a room adjourning that one to calm down Ashkii. With that one child bawling, there was no way he'd calm down enough to stop crying. So after the child finally stopped crying - though was still sniffling - she moved back into the room. He was still frightened by the loud noise Yachiru was making, but he wasn't crying.
Bekira paid this no attention. One crying child, two-- alright, the other had quieted down. But they were still crying children. (Dear lord. What _was_ she supposed to do when Helen started as well?) Kneeling down, she unzipped the carrier.
Freedom!!
Helen peeked out of the carrier, looking around. Everyone was so high up compared to her! Excited beyond measure that she was finally let out of the prison, she turned left and bounded a step, decided it wasn't worth it and then turned right.
Maybe this was too much freedom?
Ari blinked a look of quick concern coming onto her face. Were the other two children alright? It was common for toddlers to cry, yes, but they still had reasons which could be fixed or prevented. She glanced quickly at Gawain to see if he would have the same reaction.
Gawain, however, did not. Their tears did not seem to prevoke his own. His tail feathers did fan out and stiffen slightly, but it didn't seem to be a sign of hostility or sorrow. He glanced around the room, still being held by his guardian, and then looked back at her. Ari smiled weakly in assurance that he seemed fine and set him down upon his feet.
Kierla, seeming to read Aletea's thoughts, finally let her mouth twitch into a barely discernable smile, saying in that soft voice of hers yet still managing to be heard over Yachiru's yells: "It is impossible to quiet Yachiru once she starts...and energy-wasting to try. It only provokes her further." She even let loose a quiet chuckle. "Kiarna and I learned that the hard way..."
She faced once again the newcomers. "I am Kierla, and this is my sister's...daughter, Yachiru." Hopefully Yachiru wouldn't notice the hesitation.
Luckily, she didn't. But she did notice that the scary thing that had made the scary sounds in the scary cage-thing had been let out. And emitting a keening shriek of fright, she sobbed, "Mama!" and hid her face in Kierla's black cloak, her bawling slightly muffled by the cloth.
"Raziel, hold still..." The young girl squeaked as she awkwardly held the toddler in her arms. Grumpily, the boy moved about, trying to get Kaiyumi to put him down.
"If you don't behave, I won't read you a story tonight..." She warned. Instintly, the boy stopped, though he his expression turned even grumpier.
The girl moved towards the house, her ebony-colored hair falling over her eyes a bit. "Should I just...go in...? Or..." Hm. She could here voices...perhaps she should knock?
((Since Kiarna is considered Ashkii's aunt XD....))
Aletea paused suddenly, her eyes going wide. "Wait - you're Kiarna's sister? Hyper-Kiarna?"
She had to be sure, of course...hm, she did think Kiarna had mentioned a sister before, though she couldn't quite remember. A grin spread across her face - she was certain that these children must be shifters (while else would they be at Rorikas?), and that meant that her friend had such a child of her own.
Then she smiled aside at the newcomer, "Aletea, by the way, and this is Ashkii."
She went ahead and put Ashkii down, as he seemed to be wanting to.
Ashkii gazed wide-eyedly at the people, and remained close to Aletea's leg. He wanted to go see the people, but...well, he was still a bit scared. So he remained where he was, clutching her leg.
Talk was boring.
Everyone always talked.
They didn't like to play.
They were all sooo high up as well! Deciding that she didn't like being left behind, Helen sat on Bekira's feet, scratched lightly with her paw. Her own personal elevator service!
Out of habit, Bekira picked her up, smiling. "Kiarna?" she asked. Hyper? She sounded like a fun person.
The kids weren't normal, but what did Bekira know? She had seen enough anthro kids to wonder really, and considering some were too old to talk in front of, she couldn't really ask. Were they all like Helen?
Helen patted Bekira with her paw, squealing to be given a closer look at the others.
Arianna listened to the starting conversation with interest, making sure to keep her eye on Gawain, though. Upon being let down he shifted his stuffed rabbit to one hand and stuck his free thumb promptly in his mouth. He blinked his silver eyes again and then walked, with very little grace, for walking was still a trick, over to Ashkii. He blinked at him and then moved his full hand in a small wave.
Yes...Kiarna. I am her adopted older sister," Kierla said, with a confirming bob of a head. "I suppose hyper would be a good word to describe her..."
In the sanctuary of black cloth that carried the reassuring scent of 'Mama', Yachiru finally quieted. She could hear people making noises, but they weren't as scary as the one before, and there didn't seem to be anything dangerous out there. Peeking out, she flapped her wings and hopped out of Kierla's embrace - a big step for her! - and flopped clumsily on the floor. It hurt, and she automatically opened her mouth to begin wailing again, when a noise caught her attention. Swiveling those sensitive ears of hers, she alternatively hopped-flew toward the source of the sounds, stopping before the door - and began to jump up, clawing at the door.
Yachiru's actions attracted the attention of her auntie. "One second...it seems Yachiru's heard something," she excused herself from the group. Wandering over to Yachiru, she murmured, "What is it?" and opened the door, placing a warning hand on Yachiru's head to make sure she didn't run off. A girl and a little cat boy stood before her. "Hello," she said for the third time that day.
At the sight of more strangers, Yachiru gave a despairing wail. Scary! She buried her face into Kierla's leg and whimpered.
"Oh!" Kaiyumi blinked in surprise as the door before her was opened. She gave a nervous grin to the women whom opened the door. "Hello..." She replied. Raziel on the other hand merely glanced at her once, before rolling his eyes lightly, turning his gaze away.
It was then Kaiyumi noticed the child clinging to Kierla's leg, and she bent down a bit. "Aww...who's this little one...?" Raziel growled, squirming uncomfortably in her arms. With a blink, Kaiyumi let Raziel down, before rising again, giving a little bow of her head. "My name is Kaiyumi, and this is Raziel..." She paused, grinning sheepishly. "May we enter?" The girl was excited to see whom else was there.
Aletea smiled at Kaiyumi, offering a happy greeting. "Of course! I'm surprised we all visited here a once...certainly a strange coincidence." After that greeting, she introduced herself and Ashkii; Ashkii, on the other hand, was beginning to overcome his nervousness.
Ashkii smiled at Gawaiin hesitantly, then spoke, "...hi. Wanna pway?"
Obviously, toddlers tended to have a one track mind. Most didn't care much about introductions - they just got straight to the point. The banshee-girl was still crying, so he ignored her, but he offered a sweet smile over at Raziel as well. "You kin pway, too."
He hadn't really noticed Helen yet, beyond that she was something fuzzy. Probobly a cat or a dog, in his mind...
Bekira blinked. There were so many people in the house, now! She'd only been here once before, and it had been certainly more emptier than this...
"Hello there." she said, holding onto Helen a little bit awkwardly. "I'm Bekira." she said to Kaiyumi.
It was nice, meeting all this people and secure with the idea that maybe later, they'd all help each other out.
What were those shiny plastic things that lady had pulled out? Curious, Helen wriggled out of Bekira's grasp, peering down to watch. And what were those really fluffy things sticking out of both of those boys?
That looked fun to play with, not the shiny things.
Peering back at Bekira's face with intent eyes, she yipped happily when she was let down once more.
No, kits never seemed able to make up ther minds.
Gawain gave a nod of his head, his thumb still forcefully in his mouth. His tail feathers loosened and softening their stance as well. He paused for a moment and then looked at Ari. He went over and, taking his thumb out for a moment, tugged on her shirt.
She looked down, having been distracted by the newcomers for a moment, "Oh! You want your toys, love?" Gawain nodded and she took out two toy planes and a truck for him from her bag, "There you go."
"Kaiyumi.." The name sounded familiar. "Are you, by any chance, a friend of Kiarna?" Kierla bowed her head. "I am Kierla, Kiarna's adopted older sister, and this little one," - she indicated the whimpering Yachiru - "is Kiarna's daughter, Yachiru."
At the sound of her name, Yachiru braved a peek at the strangers. Curiousity overtook her, overriding her fear. Hobbling foward, using her wings as makeshift hands, she tilted her head to one side as she looked at Raziel. "Muurrr?" Lookit! He had ears, shaped somewhat like hers (in her yet to be sophisticated mind). Reaching out a wing, she poked those furry orange ears.
The girl smiled a bit at Kierla, though a look of surprise appeared on her face. "It's a pleasure to meet you everyone..." She said with a nod. Her gaze then drifted back to Kierla, and she tilted her head lightly. "Yes, I am a friend of Kiarna's..." She replied, grinning at the thought of her friend. Kaiyumi then blinked. "You're Kiarna's sister...?" Heh...that was something she didn't know about.
Raziel frowned lightly as he looked at the girl, growling silently as she touched his ears. The furry ears flicked slightly. Though Raziel would usually push others away, he was curious about this girl. She looked similar...in a way...
At seeing what Gawain got from his mother, Ashkii beamed happily: toys! This one seemed alright, though he still was a bit frightened of the girl who had screeched. And the other boy was ignoring him, he noted, with a bit of disappointment...so instead, he focused his attention back on the toys and Gawain.
He got one of the planes from Gawain, and began to play with it. He made 'vroom vroom' noises, which technically didn't apply to planes...but he was young enough that this didn't matter. In his happiness, he was fluttering his wings slightly - he most certainly couldn't fly yet, but give him a few years to grow into it and he probably could.
Or they might just wind up being decorative; you never know.
Helen, curious now as to why the boy was starting to make wierd noises crawled forwards. Seeing the thing move, and those soft fluffy things flutter as well, Helen decided she had found her new toy.
Okay. It was bigger than her. But if you focused only on the thing going flutter, or only on the shiny thing going vroom vroom, it was...
A little bit smaller.
Wriggling her tail, she watched both intently, not knowing which one she wanted more.
((Kiarna, is the Kiarna here the same one as the one at Interp?))
Gawain took the other plane, leaving the truck rather unloved on the floor. He abosultely loved planes, like his "friend" Luka at home. Though they both had other toys to play with, they usually chose rockets, planes, and hilocopters first. He sat back on his bottom, his tail feathers fanning out again and began to fly the plane around just like Ashkii, except he made loud, long "wooshing" sounds instead.
Again, Kierla seemed to almost read her mind. "Yes...I'm Kiarna's adopted sister. Absentminded as she is, no doubt she's failed to mention me."
Looking down at Yachiru with her emotionless coal-black eyes, she nudged Yachiru with a foot. "Go on, Yachiru...why don't you take your friend and introduce him to the other children?"
Yachiru, shrinking back a little at the growl, offered a tentative smile at Raziel. She was finally over the temporary shock of meeting new people, and offered a hand (..wing) toward this furry-eared look-alike. "Murr." Mm. Yachiru seemed to like that noise.
At the sound of Kierla's voice, Yachiru smiled up at her, then scampered off to inspect the other children, the ones with things-that-were-not-fur on them, and the thing-that-had-lots-of-fur on it. She looked back to see if Raziel would follow.
Kaiyumi grinned, giving a little nod. "Ah, well, it's a pleasure to meet you Kierla..." She said with a nod. Kierla and Kiarna seemed to be quite different from each other...that was for sure.
She then glanced at Raziel, raising her brows and nodding, motioning for him to follow.
Raziel watched Yachiru with a quirked brow. With a sigh however, he scrambled off to follow her to the others. He wasn't going to be left behind...
|| DDDDx I need to goooo...*sob* My brother is making me get off...T__T Thanks for letting me join you guys! x3;; I hope Raziel can have a PD with you guys x3 *waves* ||
((Alright, we can have actual one-on-one PD type stuff another time ^.^ (maybe in a journal or something, so that if we leave we can pick up again later))
At the new one coming over, Ashkii stopped his plane and smiled at them - at the bat girl, it was a bit apprehensive. She was still marked as scary in his mind, but he was willing to see if she was all right. So he picked up the truck and offered it to her. "You wanta pway, too?"
His wings continued to flutter, almost absentmindedly, while he sat with the plane in one hand and the truck in the other.
The feathers movement was ... hypnotic. Their constant, light movement was driving the kit crazy, and with a final wriggle of the butt (because, you know. She likes it) Helen scampered to the side of the fluffy things and jumped.
Missing her aim mainly because she thought she was stronger than she actually was, Helen let out a terrified squeak when she landed on the shoulder/arm instead.
Still, claws withdrawn, she batted at her prize.
Hers! All hers!
Gawain's mouth opened slightly as he watched a puppy suddenly jump right on Ashkii! He dropped his plane and set his hands against the ground, pushing himself up. He did so in such a rush, however, that he toppled back over onto his bum with a small squeek. He winced and smoothed out his feathers. That had hurt!
((Mwahaha... >3 ))
Slightly disappointed that Raziel couldn't come and play, Yachiru scampered back towards the others.
Suddenly, a streak of red fur flew through the air.
Reacting purely on instinct, Yachiru flapped her great wings - actually lifting off the floor for several seconds - and lunged forward, clamping onto the prey with her wings...and her teeth. "Muurrr," she purred around the creature in her mouth.
Surprised by the abrupt leave of Kaiyumi and Raziel, Kierla shook her head, then walked back toward the rest of the group. She glanced at the children. "Looks like they're having fun," she said serenely. "Do you three think we can step into another room and talk, and leave the children to play?" she added. She was eager to know if all their children were Shifters...
Aletea agreed with Kierla, moving into the other room to talk. "Yes, I imagine they'll have plenty of fun..." She also, wanted to know for sure if the others were shifters.
When Helen leapt onto him and began to claw, Ashkii let out a terrified shriek. With a panicked gesture, he swung his arm frantically back and forth - until Yachiru leapt atop both of them, attacking Helen. At this time, he was squashed against the floor, underneath a fox and a bat girl.
His eyes were terrified, but he didn't cry because he was so startled. Thrashing around underneath the two, he didn't have much leverage...laying on his stomach with the two on top, the toddler couldn't do much. And the fox still was clawing him, so that certainly wasn't calming the frightened boy.
Helen let out a startled yelp when something landed on her. The yelp turned into a surprised chirrup when the thing started to purr! Twisting her face around to see what it was, she realized it was the big noisy thing.
Wow-- it was really close.
she stopped clawing at the boy under her. Besides, she couldn't get to his fluffy wings from here!
She wriggled, trying to get free of this noisy thing.
Eeeee-- she was inside it's mooouuuth...
It didn't hurt too much.
Using her tail, she tried to flick it off.
Hey, maybe it'd work.
((Note: Gawain had to leave))
Kierla nodded, and followed after Aletea and Bekira. Then she stared solemnly at both of them. Casting conspirical glances here and there, she whispered so quietly that they'd have to lean in to hear: "So. Are Helen and Ashkii, Shifters?"
Yachiru tasted blood, where her teeth had punctured. Greedily, she licked it up with her tongue. The saliva would act as a pain neutrilizer.
She hopped off, flapping her leathery wings, causing small gusts of air to blow through. "Murr!" she said again. Catching sight of Ashkii's feathers, she cooed in appreciation.
Ashkii whimpered underneath the other two, though he was starting to calm down now that he wasn't being scratched up. Twisting his head slightly to peer up at the two, he blinked at them. He was trapped under the bat-girl and a...puppy? That's what he thought it was, anyway.
Calming down a bit more now that he realized it was a puppy - and not some vicious beast trying to eat him - he wiggled to see if he could work a hand free.
Wiggle..
Wiggle...
And success. Though now he didn't know what he was planning on doing, as he was still stuck facedown on the floor. After that moment, he reached up and hesitantly patted the 'puppy' - maybe it was nice afterall? And the bat-girl didn't seem too bad...she was kinda purring.
Aletea eyed Kierla cautiously, and remained silent for a moment. This was Kiarna, and she'd never met Kiarna's sister - for all she knew, this could be a hunter. So she maintained a vague tone, and simply said, "A shape-shifter, certainly."
Obviously, she was being very careful
((Bleh, I have to go...eh, just assume that Aletea confirmed the shifter thing to Kierla, and then got Ashkii from under that pile ^.^;;
Night all!))
Bekira nodded as well, a wry smile. "Helen." she said. "Is the same..." she shrugged. This sister was slightly unusual, but Bekira knew enough unusual people to find it... well... not that scary.
Something on her body was going numb. She knew that much, and with a little hiss she squirmed under the loud thing. She wanted out! She didn't want to be here!
Being patted by the fluffy thing though, had her still.
What the-- she paused.
And slumped.
Beh. Helen gave up.
These things were strange.
edit: bye Ale, see you!
Kierla nodded, leaning back against a wall, looking like living death. "What happened to Helen's parents?" she asked softly. She wondered if all Shifters given away to others to care were orphaned...
Her curiousity became too much, and Yachiru snapped her teeth together in an attempt to eat the colorful feathers - and felt herself bite her own tongue. She blinked. The colorful thing-that-had-things-like-fur-not-fur was above her now, held by the scary tall person, and was gone now...
Hmmph. And those colorful things looked really yummy, too...
Turning her attention back to the furry thing, Yachiru was surprised to see it was limp. Curiously, she poked it with one sharp end of a wing.
Bekira shrugged. "As far as I know, grumps and his mate are still living somewhere, probably causing havoc." she smiled wryly. She really liked the grumpy fox, honestly. But that didn't mean she had to be nice about it.
She frowned. The fact that this woman had assumed something had happened... 'Did something happen to Yachiru's parents?" she asked, gently. Not wanting to tread in unwanted territory.
Helen grunted. She opened one eye to peer at the noisy thing in front of her. She liked it when it was quiet-- but right now felt it was safer when the thing was noisy as well.
Noisy = dangerous. Okay. Lesson learnt.
A bit annoyed that someone had taken away her toy, she peered from her flat position at noisy thing, and let out a curious chirrup.
Kierla nodded grimly, her already pale skin turning an ashen white. "Yachiru...her parents were found and killed by hunters, while trying to keep Yachiru from their clutches." The words came out harshly. Wow, looked like the girl actually had a heart hidden there somewhere, under the folds of black cloth.
She stared off into blank space. "I guess Yachiru is an unfortunate case, then..."
Oblivious to these solemn words being spoke in the room just next, Yachiru blinked at the furry thing.
Then in chirruped. Quite suddenly, in Yachiru's mind.
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" she screeched, starting off again. Her wings flapped outward and folded around her, forming a sort of leathery cocoon.
Kierla's head snapped toward the sound. She sighed. "I guess I'd better go check on her," she said wearily. She headed back.
Upon reaching Yachiru, she knelt down and placed a hand on her head, stroking her hair.
"Mama!" Yachiru cried, flinging her arms around Kierla's neck and sobbing into her shoulder.
Helen blinked.
It was noisy again!
Crawling over flat on the ground, rather resembling a odd rug, Helen crept a little bit closer. It was such a funny thing, she was looking at! The big person was here as well-- but she ignored the big person. They didn't matter at all.
*chirrup*
She wondered if doing it again would make the thing go noisier, or quieter.
Before Bekira had a chance to answer, Kierle was out of the room. Bekira was glad, because she never knew what to say at these instances anyways.
Following with a little bit of worry, she paused.
No, nothing looked wrong here.
At the sound, Yachiru burst forth into tears again.
Kierla gave Bekira an apologetic look. "I'm sorry...Yachiru's mood has been rather volatile, the very slightest things setting her off...I think..she still sort of..." She mouthed the last word. Remembers. Yachiru didn't notice, because her face was hidden.
Bekira almost gave a nod of understanding. Almost, because actually she had no idea what was happening. Watching this made her wonder if she was actually up for the whole raising a kid idea.
Instinctively she looked back down at Helen, who yawned. No, noisy thing didn't seem to want to play.
"Well, Kierla." she said. "It was nice to meet you." She should have said this to everyone, because now she knew other people with skin shifting babies. "But, we've got to head home now."
She'd forgotten why she'd want to come back.
Immediatly, Helen stiffened.
No way. No way was she getting into that bag again!
Her tears now reduced to sniffles, Yachiru looked around again. She was no longer crying, but no one could look at her tear-stained face and say that she was happy, content, even.
Then she gave a great yawn, showing off those vicious little teeth again. Hmm. Seems that yawns really were contagious.
"Hmm. Seems like it's time for us to go back now, too," Kierla said, glancing at Yachiru. "She seems all worn out from all that crying..."
Hoisting the bat-girl up in her arms again - where she nested, murring - Kierla gave a fleeting smile at Bekira. "It was nice to meet you too. Good luck on getting Helen back in that carrier," she added, keeping back an amused chuckle.
At the doorway, she stopped and murmured to herself, "Pity that I couldn't have seen Rorika. Oh well, maybe next time."
Then she glided forward and was gone, as was the snoozing Yachiru.
The First Playdate
Kaiyumi
Playdate
Kaiyumi blinked as she glanced out of the window, blinking as she waiting for her visitors. Raziel watched her for a moment, unintrested before returning to the couch, grabbing his book, and opening it. Ignoring everything around him, he allowed himself to be sucked up in the story.
"I hope they're here soon...!" Kaiyumi grinned with excitement. "Aren't you excited Raziel? You can meet some new friends!"
At this, Raziel merely rose his eyebrows in reply, not bothering to raise his head.
The room was simple, yet welcoming. The flames in the fireplace dance, flickering back and forth. On the coffee table was various food items Kaiyumi had randomly placed for her visitors.
Yes, she wanted to set a good impression on herself...hopefully. Considering her sometimes hyper behaviour however...well...
Aletea
((Raziel's a genius XD He's reading books as a toddler heart ))
Aletea carried Ashkii up with her to the door, excited about this. Maybe Ashkii would make a friend? And it was another Shifter, so they'd be similar! Well, more similar then he was to a regular anthro. Not that either of them would know that, but it may make things easier when they were adults and were told (though that seemed like such a long time away).
She'd have brought a toy of Ashkii's, but things he considered toys, most people didn't seem to. He seemed to be able to pick the most random thing and play with it - his imagination supplying enough to entertain himself. He actually tended to ignore regular toys if there was something like, say...a sheet, around. Forget toy trucks and planes, he'd play with the sheet instead!
Ah well, nothing wrong with that.
Reaching the door, Aletea reached up and knocked.
Kiarna
((So I guess I post now? ^__^))
Kiarna beamed, as she sighted the house, then broke in a run. "Here we are~nyu!" she said brightly.
Yachiru was sulkily pouting in Kiarna's embrace. Strange lady that said she was Mama scared her. She wanted Mama! Mama! "Mama!" she let slip out, reaching her arms out for Kierla.
Kierla, however, paid no attention to the whining child. In her hands she held a present - unwrapped, unfortunately. But she never was much of a whiz at these things.
They reached the door.
Kierla blinked. "Hello...Aletea, Ashkii."
Yachiru stopped pouting and gazed at Ashkii with wide, solemn eyes.
"Hiya~nyu!" Kiarna chirped cheerily.
Kaiyumi
|| xDD Bookworm Raziel...xP
Ah, okie dokes x3 ||
Raziel blinked as he heard the knock on the door. Rising to his feet, the boy followed Kaiyumi obdiently to the door.
"Kiarna, Kierla, Aletea!" Kaiyumi grinned in delight, waving her hand cheerfully. She then nudged Raziel, whom gave a small, silent nod to them. "Please come in...!" The girl moved aside to let them enter.
Raziel watched Yachiru and Ashkii with a sort of curiousity, quirking a brow. "...Hi..." The child grumbled.
Aletea
"Kiarna! And Kierla," With a happy sound, Aletea greeted her friend. Then she gestured to Ashkii with an impish grin, "Here's your nephew..."
Ashkii was currently eying Yachiru with a slightly uncertain gaze - she had been kinda scary the last time he'd seen her. When the door opened however, and they were brought in, Aletea put him down. As per usual, he remained clutching at her leg while he gazed at the other two children. The bat-girl was still a bit scary to him, but she hadn't been that bad near the end.
And then the cat-boy hadn't really scary at all, though he had ignored him (by accident).
So he offered a shy smile to Raziel, and then a slightly nervous one to Yachiru. "..h'lo."
Aletea smiled at Kaiyumi, "Thanks for inviting us over - Ashkii could do well to make some friends."
Kiarna
Kiarna smiled at her 'nephew'. "Hi Ashkii! Kierla told me you already met your cousin! Whatcha think of her?" she asked, grinning from ear to ear.
Then the door opened. "HI KAI~nyu!" she said - shouted, more like. The hyperactive girl bounded in, taking in every aspect of the room. "Wow~nyu! Very welcoming!" She set Yachiru on the floor, giving her a little push. "Go on, Yachiru~nyu!"
When Kiarna turned away, Yachiru gave her a glare. What was with all this nyu, nyu talk? It annoyed her. And she was too loud, the bat girl grumbled to herself as she covered her ears.
Kierla nodded, and stepped in after her sister. "Hello," she greeted simply. Then she produced the present, handing it to Yachiru. "Here, Yachiru, maybe you should give it to Raziel yourself."
Yachi jumped. She had almost forgotten. With the present firmly clenched between her teeth, she toddled toward the cat-boy. "Muurr," she muttered around the object in her mouth, taking it with the clawed ends of her wings and proffering to the boy. "Stellaluna," she said. Hmm. First word...?
((XP Don't got a pic or something...maybe'll draw somethin' later~nyu XD;; ))
Kaiyumi
|| Aww xDD heart ||
Kaiyumi grinned at Aletea. "It was my pleasure. Anyone hungry?" She motioned towards the livingroom table, which was filled with refreshments. "I think I kinda overdid it..." She then emitted a little laugh at Kiarna. "HI KIARNA HOW ARE YOU?!" She exclaimed, just as loud.
Raziel's ears flattened. Geez these people were loud. At least that other person, Aletea was it? At least Aletea wasn't as loud.
He blinked, giving Ashkii a tiny wave of his hand, before giving a small nod to Yachiru, taking the present. "Thank...you..." Raziel muttered, giving a little, seemingly forced smile at the other two.
"As for you three..." Kaiyumi smiled, lingering over the children. "Would you like Raziel to bring his toys to livingroom with us, or do you want to go to his room?" Maybe having them in the supervison of the guardians however may be better...who knew what may end up happening if they weren't being watched. They were all quite young at this age afterall.
Aletea
Ashkii gazed upwardly at Kaiyumi, uncertain. Raziel's room, or staying with them? His choice would be obvious by the fact that he was still clinging to Aletea's leg - he didn't really know Raziel or Yachiru yet. If, on a first meeting, it was very favorable he lost all shyness with that person - but these two hadn't had the most favorable meeting with him.
And thus, his continuing nervousness.
Finally, he came to a decision, and stepped away from Aletea's leg. The little quail decided to just ignore the last meeting, and treat it like he'd never met them before! "You two kin toose."
Aletea grinned in amusement at Kaiyumi and Kiarna, or more specifically at the reaction. "I'll probably eat a bit, thank you."
Kiarna
Yachiru offered a tentative grin. "Muurr.." she said again.
Then she scampered off to the next creature. Ah, the thing with things-that-were-like-fur-not-fur. She wondered if they tasted good.
Then she hopped back to Raziel. "Muurrrrr!" she squealed, poking those ears that had first caught her attention.
Hmm. She appeared to be the less intelligible of the three...
Kiarna's mouth dropped open. "FOOOOOO, OOOOD~nyu?"
Kierla nodded her confirmation.
Kaiyumi
Kaiyumi covered her mouth to muffle a laugh. "Help yourself Aletea, Kiarna, Kierla..." She paused to bend down, glancing at the children. "And you? Would you guys like some cookies and juice? If your mommies appove that is..." She paused to look back up at the three.
Raziel blinked, emitting a tiny sigh, as he usually did. Rising, he seemed to excuse himself for a moment before scrambling up the stairs. Shortly after, he returned with an armful of toys, moving close to the fireplace. Grumbling, the boy motioned towards Ashkii and Yachiru, sitting as he awaited them. "We'll...stay...here..." Raziel seemed to struggle lightly on the words, though it was obvious he spoke daily.
Such a bookworm he was.
Aletea
It was fairly obvious how far along they were in speaking. Raziel was the best speaker, though he apparently didn't enjoy it, and Ashkii could speak, but his diction left something to be desired. Yachiru was still at a somewhat unintelligible stage, though you could perhaps consider her 'murr's to be words.
Ashkii moved over by the fireplace to Raziel, and sat down beside the toys. Picking one out at random, he wound up with a stuffed animal of some sort. Though he couldn't figure out exactly what it was...so he was gazing at it with a half-frown on his face, attempting to create a name for this 'new animal'.
Then he heard Kaiyumi, and beamed up at her, "Pwease!"
"He can have some, but not too much," Aletea grinned aside as she reached for some of the food there for them, "He can be a handful when he eats too much sugar."
Kiarna
Perhaps one noticed, that Yachiru hadn't yet called for food... ninja
Anyways...
Taking the book back from Raziel, she flipped it open at random. Giggling and babbling, she pointed at a picture of a bat. "Murr! Lookitme!" she shrieked.
Kaiyumi
Kaiyumi grinned, walking towards the kitchen. She shortly returned with a plate of cookies, and som glasses of juice. Bending down in front of the three children, she held out the plate and cups, offering them to the kids.
Raziel shook his head lightly at Kaiyumi's offer, and blinked a bit as he peered over Yachiru's shoulder and at the creature in the book. He blinked, grinning a bit as he attempted to read the words on the colorful page. His tail flickered back and forth lightly before he glanced over towards Ashkii, tilting his head as he watched Ashkii look at the plushie.
Aletea
Ashkii looked up from the plushie at hearing Yachiru speak for the first time, and peeked over curiously at the book. After studyin the picture and then the girl, he grinned in agreement. "Win's look like yers."
He decided that as scary as Yachiru had been when they first met (though he still promptly insisted that he was going to treat it like it hadn't happened), the picture was scarier then her. So she had to be all right, because she was less scary then something similar to her! Isn't toddler logic fun?
The quail reached down and took a cookie, munching on it as he peered at Yachiru's book, fluttering his wings slightly.
Kiarna
Yachiru looked over at the cookies and juice interestedly, hopping over to them and snagging a glass and a cookie. Then she retreated back to her book.
Taking a tentative bite, the bat ears twitched irritably and she spat it back out again. She seemed to like the juice though, downing it in one gulp after the first test sip.
Then.
OMGMOVEMENTPRETTYFULTHINGS.
Catching sight of Ashkii's fluttering wings, she forgot about the book completely, and pounced toward those colorfully fur-not-fur things.
Luckily for Ashkii, however, Kierla calmly reached out and grabbed Yachi from the air, in mid-pounce.
Frustrated, Yachiru wiggled and stretched her wings, but couldn't manage to stuff those prettyful fur-not-fur's into her mouth. Giving up dejectedly, she sniffed loudly.
Kiarna who had at that time was nibbling politely on one of the cookies, suddenly gave a sharp intake of breath, inhaling several cookie crumbs. While she choked, eyes watering slightly, she nudged Kierla. "That's the warning sign..."
Warning sign for what?
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" Yachiru shrieked, tears gushing down her face, dripping off her chin, getting her wings all wet. She was a fountain of pure, undulated, sulky misery.
Kaiyumi
"Woah!" Kaiyumi fell over, off the couch at the sudden cry. She rose quickly. "Oh, uh...don't cry Yachiru!" She exclaimed. At the same time, she was patting Kiarna's back, after all, she had just inhaled a bunch of crumbs, and who knows what else.
Raziel covered his sensitive ears quickly. He was going deaf! No, wait...wait...now he was deaf.
Guh.
The boy rose, stalking off. Kaiyumi frowned as she begun to follow him. Couldn't Razi be a little more sensitive?
By the time she took 3 steps however, Raziel returned, earplugs firmly in each ear, and a bag. Stepping towards Yaciru, he grumpily pulled out a couple of lollipops from the bag, offering them to her, before spilling out the rest of the contents on the floor. Colorful candy seemed to glow in the light of the fireplace, and Raziel quietly pushed some towards Ashkii, before rising again. "Help yourself..." He grumbled.
Kaiyumi grinned. "Aw..." Ah, a rare moment where Raziel was nice.
Aletea
When Yachirus first leapt at him, Ashkii had a sudden moment of panic. Why was it that things kept pouncing on him?!
He was a bit confused when she suddenly was pulled out of the air, though, and simply sat there blinking. But when the screeching started, he flinched and covered his ears. It didn't startle him enough to make him start bawling like he had the first time, but he obviously wasn't happy.
Ashkii hesitantly lowered one hand from his ear as Raziel offered some candy, and snaked out a hand to get it. He smiled tentatively at Raziel, and offered a thanks - though it was unlikely to be heard, with the noise. The quail boy stuck his sucker in his mouth, and thought for a moment.
Then he had an idea; she was upset because...she wanted to pounce on him, and was stopped. Maybe she wanted his feathers? They were pretty, so he didn't blame her. A there was one that was loose anyways, so...well, it was rather like pulling out a loose tooth. He pulled that feather out, and walked over to her to offer it.
Kiarna
Yachi, though didn't stop crying when offered candy, did seem curious enough about this new novelty that her screaming was reduced to sobbing. Picking one up curiously, she sniffed it, placing it in her mouth while she still sniffled around it.
Kiarna, now revived from her coughing attack, smiled at thanks at Kai, then beamed gratefully at Raziel.
Another cookie found its way to her mouth, which she chomped happily on.
Kierla calmly took one of the lollypops as well, although they hadn't been offered to her. Thoughtfully, she sucked on it, deeming it safe to place the still sniffling Yachiru on the ground.
Then, another present was offered to her. "Murr?" she said stupidly, staring dumbfounded at the muchly-coveted-after feather. Her cries were now completely faded. Then, she squealed, "Murr!" again and grabbed it from Ashkii. Stuffing the feather into her mouth alongside the lolly, it was clear that if Yachi could wish for anything in the world at that moment, it would be to have two mouths. "MUUUURRRR!"
At the last extra-high-pitched-loud 'murr', Kiarna choked on cookie crumbs again.
"Isn't that...so...cute..?" Kiarna managed to gasp out this time.
Kaiyumi
"Aww!" Kaiyumi beamed at the three children. They seemed to get along fine! Good!
She then eyed Kiarna, and sighed loudly, patting her on the back again. "Slow down Kiarna...and...uh...don't inhale..." She then turned to look at Aletea, motioning towards the cookies. "Help yourselfff! Or to some candy if you want as well..." She grinned.
Raziel watched Yachiru with a quirked brow, but his lips turned up in a smirk and he gave a small shake of his head. Picking through the candy slowly, he too found a lollipop, tugging off the wrapping and popping the candy into his mouth. Pausing, he also took out the earplugs, but he placed them in his pocket.
...Just in case.
Aletea
Ashkii blinked oddly at Yachiru, and if he had been a bit older he would have been a bit disturbed. He was too young to really think about it any more, but if he had thought about it, he would have realized that her eating the feather meant she likely wanted to eat his wings. The thought that another child would want to eat some portion of you, was just a bit strange.
But, being only a toddler, he didn't notice.
He walked back over to the pile of toys, and poked curiously at them. Then he found something that he pulled out, his face shifted into an expression of confusion. "Whassis?" The quail was holding a toy stethescope, that was probably part of a doctors set; but as he'd never been near a doctor in his short life, he had no idea what it was.
Aletea grinned at Kaiyumi, seeming more amused by the turn of events then anything else.
"Thank you..." was all she said before she took a cookie. Candy was all right, but she'd let the kids have that.
Kiarna
Yachiru wandered over to Ashkii again, peering curiously at the thing held in his hands. Mumbling around the lolly and the feather in her mouth, she wondered if it was very good to eat, this new thing.
Finally having expelled the last of those tickly crumbs in her throat, Kiarna thanked Kai again, then surreptitiously snatched some candy from the pile, placing it in her mouth. Yay for sugar....>D
Unfortunately for her, Kierla quickly snapped the lollipop out of her sister's mouth and tossed it away. "Sorry, Kiarna. But no sugar for you. I don't think Kai will much appreciate it if you destroy her house from pure hyperness."
Kaiyumi
Raziel rose his eyebrows silently as he looked at the toy Ashkii held. "Doctors...use that..." He grumbled, thinking back to the words Kaiyumi had taught him the other day. "They use it to...listen to...your...heartbeat..." Whether he was stumbling over the words, or just plain bored, it was hard to tell. His voice was plain, almost expressionless.
Digging through the toys, he grabbed packs of crayons and a stack of paper, splitting them and pushing them towards the others, as well as keeping some himself. Grabbing a crayon, he scibbled on the paper, looking from Ashkii and Yachiru, to his paper. He stuck out his tougue in concentration...he wasn't very Raziel like, but it was cute to say the least.
Kaiyumi grinned, rising from her seat. "Would you guys like anything to drink? Water? Pop?" She offered. Suddenly however, two feline like creatures dashed into the room, running around in circles. Kaiyumi squeaked as she almost tripped, watching as they ran back out. "...Sorry, it's a bit crazy here sometimes..."
Aletea
Ashkii really didn't get exactly what Raziel was trying to explain to him, but he got the gist of it. It was a bit disappointing - he had been hoping it was some weapon used by a valient warrior to fight an evil monster. Of course, it would be one weird weapon, but you never know. He lost interest fairly quickly, absentmindedly dropping it back into the pile of toys.
When the crayons and paper was brought out though, the boy who had soon been growing bored brightened.
Happily dropping to the ground, he began to haphazardly draw on the paper. There didn't seem to be much reason to the lines he was drawing, but there was probably some sort of intent behind it.
Aletea eyed the feline beings curiously, before grinning aside at Kaiyumi as they left. "That's alright, perfectly understandable. You have a lot of..." she paused here, uncertain of the phrasing, "...people, here?"
Kiarna
Yachiru muchly wanted to investigate this strange 'doctors-use-that' thing. Circling around it warily as Ashkii dropped it, she poked it cautiously. When it didn't scream and throw knives at her, she dubbed it safe enough to put on her head like a hat.
Then stuff was shoved at her. White stuff, and colorful stuff. She looked quizzically at Ashkii, or Raziel - but they were busy...doing stuff with the colorful stuff to the white stuff.
Lots of stuff.
Grabbing a crayon that seemed to be a sort of booger-ish color, she cast fleeting glances to either side, and began to imitate Ashkii and Raziel. Ehh? What was this? The white stuff was not white anymore! Or, at least, where the colorful stuff had touched it. Glaring at the crayon, for that was what it was if you didn't realize yet XD, she sniffed it suspiciously, then decided it to dub it magick.
Satisfied with this explanation, she flopped on her belly and began to color.
Kiarna had by then sneaked another lollipop into her mouth. Of course. She could never resist the sweet lure of sugar, even if it did cost her friend a house.
Then two people (were they people? Kiarna couldn't tell) suddenly rushed past her. In classic Kiarna fashion, she toppled over. And naturally, when a Kiarna falls over, and she just happens to have a lollipop in her mouth...
Gasp. Cough. Choke.
"You'd think one would learn..." Kierla observed, watching with a faintly amused expression as her sister turned several shades of the rainbow. Namely, red, purple, and blue.
Kiarna gave a gulp, and a sheepish smile. "That's what you think, Onee-chan," she joked. At Kierla's quietly questioning look, she added, "Swallowed it, as stupid as it may sound~nyu.."
Yachiru stared with widening horror at the sudden running by of strangers! strangers! Then the-scary-one, the one who said she was her Mama, started changing colors.
Scary.
A warning sniffle escaped from the bat's mouth.
Touchy girl, ain't she?
((Sorry if her constant crying annoys you~nyu XP;;;;;; ))
Kaiyumi
|| Eets cute xDD heart ||
The boy sighed as he watched two of his family members run in and out. He then craned his neck to se what Ashkii was drawing, grinning a bit and nodding with appoval. "...Nice..." He muttered, before returning to his paper.
After a moment, Raziel's sensitive ears pricked up lightly at the sound of Yachiru's sniffle. With a groan, he stopped drawing, placing the earplugs back into his ears. He however did not resume drawing. Instead, he watched Yachiru expectently, a frown on his face.
If she started to cry...how would they stop her from crying after? Offer her more candy? Doubt that'd work...
"Some people, others creatures..." Kaiyumi grinned sheepishly. "Our 'family'...right Raziel?" The boy merely nodded, not bothering to look at her.
At the familar sound of Kiarna choking however, the girl emitted a loud sigh, watching with horror as she turned different shades, and finally, swallowed the lollipop. '...She didn't swallow the stick too...did she...?' Kaiyumi thought, raising her eyebrows and grinning a bit. "Now, what would you guys like to drink?"
Aletea
Ashkii slumped as Yachiru began to sniffle again, dreading the return of crying. He wasn't about to give her another feather - there'd only been one loose! And he wasn't about to go ripping out random feathers. He needed them.
He eyed Yachiru doubtfully, then decided something. Maybe they could forestall it? Distract her with something...and then it came to him. His eyes lighting up, he grabbed a handful of paper - some of it colored, some of it not - and walked over to her. Once he was sure he had her attention, he threw it all up in the air.
Maybe it'd distract her, or maybe not - but at least it looked pretty floating back down.
Aletea was still somewhat distracted by Kiarna's near choking on the lollipop, smiled aside at Kaiyumi, "I'm good, thanks."
She eyed Kiarna doubtfully for a moment, before speaking again. "You all right, there?"
Kiarna
Yachiru opened her mouth to let out that first wail - then something fell into her mouth. Opening her eyes, puzzled, she chewed on the something and swallowed it. Hmm.
On further observation, she saw that there were more somethings fluttering all about her. Giggling, she tried to snatch at them out of the air - which proved to be quite impossible, seeing as she did not even really have actual hands.
By the time all the little bits of paper had settled on the ground, Yachiru had quite forgotten her cause of distress, and settled down happily on her stomach again, readying herself to finish her drawing; looking, if anything, a little bit happier than when she started.
Kiarna looked relieved. "Thank gods~nyu! Now both Raziel and Ashkii have my eternal thanks~nyu," she said, smiling at both of them.
She grinned sheepishly at Aletea's question. "Don't worry~nyu! I s'perfectly fine now!"
Kierla nodded toward Kaiyumi. "I do not need anything to drink, thank you," she said politely. "Neither does Kiarna," she added as the said Kiarna opened her mouth to request something. Knowing her sister, she'll find some way to choke and die on a glass of water.
Kaiyumi
Raziel let out a sigh of relief, grinning a bit at Ashkii. The male seemed to have relaxed, instead of being all tense and emotionless. He had watched with a tiny smirk as the papers fluttered around them, before drifting to the ground. He put up his index finger, indicating for them to wait. Once again, he rose, and walked off.
And once again, he returned with something. In his hands were packs of balloons, and tied around his wrist were some already blown up, filled with heliem.
Kaiyumi blinked. "You sure?" Before they could answer however, a crash came from the kitchen. Kaiyumi cringed. What now?
As if to answer her question, a boy walked into the room, arms crossed. He leaned against the wall, giving a curt nod at the vistors before smirking at Kaiyumi. "I think your needed in the kitchen. That idiotic Alimet just destroyed a couple of your plates..." With a groan, and a small grin, Kaiyumi rose. "Excuse me for a sec..." She took the boy by the shoulders, leading him away into the kitchen, her voice audible. "Sasukeee, why weren't you watching him?" She then paused. "Akunade, bring these to the guest please..."
At first, one may have thought that Akunade was a human, but it was a jackal that came in. Her tail swished lightly as she examined the visitors, grinning a bit at the sight of Kiarna. "Hello..." She nodded, before pushing forward a plate of cupcakes with her paw. "Kaiyumi wanted me to give these to you..." It seemed that Kaiyumi had done a bit of baking...
Hopefully they were safe to eat.
Rising from his spot, Raziel helped Akunade put the cupcakes on the already full table, before shuffling back to the others.
Aletea
Ashkii beamed over at Raziel, before turning his grin back on Yachiru. She seemed happy, now...maybe they could avoid more 'near crying' incidents. Then as Raziel returned, his eyes lit up with interest. What were those? He'd never seen anything like them before.
He paid little mind to the problems with the kitchen and cupcakes, heading immediately for Raziel and those balloons. Poking one of the ones that was already blown up, he eyed the cat curiously. "Wha'd we do wi't 'em?"
Aletea studied the cupcakes for a moment, before deciding she couldn't know how safe (or tasty) they were until she actually tried one. So she reached out, snagged one, and then bit into it.
Kiarna
MORE STUFF!! Yachi launched herself at the blown-up balloons on Raziel's wrist, and accidentally popped one of them when she clipped it with her wing. The loud noise created a little sniffle, but she soon forgot about it as she danced around Raziel, babbling with joy and delight and pure undulated curiousity at these strange new gadgets, the crayon and paper forgotten on the ground.
Kierla picked up one of the cupcakes as well, studied it closely, then took the first bite. Swallow. Munchmunch. "This isn't too bad," Kierla said - though her voice didn't sound like it wasn't 'too bad'. But that was probably due to the usual flatness of her voice.
Kiarna, too, reached out - then seemed to think better of it. "Hehe. Maybe I should first learn how to eat cookies before eating cupcakes~nyu," she said with a grin.
Yachiru flitted to the cupcakes, her attention easily distracted. Scrutinizing it for a second, with no warning, she suddenly speared one of them the tip of a wing, and flung it at Ashkii. "MURR!" she shrieked giddily.
Kaiyumi
"Balloons...we can play with them..." Raziel nodded to Ashkii, grinning a bit. The male then fell over in surprise at the pop of one of the balloons, landing ungracefully on his bottom. He glanced nervously at Yachiru at the familar sniffle, but sighed with relief once again.
Untying one the balloons on his wrist, it all floated up to the ceiling, bobbing up and down. The ceiling wasn't too high, so they'd probably be able to get it down after if they really wanted to. He then held his wrist out to the other two. "Choose one...or some..." He offered. The colorful balloons bumped against each others, tiny squeaks filling the air.
Akunade grinned a bit at Aletea. "Don't worry..." She nodded, as if reading the woman's mind. "They're safe. We watched over her while she was making them..." Never trust Kaiyumi alone in a kitchen...especially since she'd find some way to set herself on fire.
Both Akunade and Raziel then gaped however when Yachiru tossed a cupcake in Ashkii's direction. A mischivious grin grew on Raziel's face, but first of all, he hoped Ashkii wouldn't be too startled by the flying cupcake.
...Perhaps this would end up starting a food fight? xDD
Aletea
Ashkii had been so absorbed by the balloons, that he was completely oblivious to the edible projectile heading towards him. He didn't even see it until it smacked right into his face, eliciting a startled squeak. For a moment, he stood there with it sliding off of his face, completely astonished.
Then, without even pausing to wipe it all off, he dove for the table where all the cupcakes were, and snatched a few up. Within seconds, he had flung them at Yachiru and Raziel, a wide grin visible on his frosting covered face.
Aletea was just staring for a few moments, before something clicked. Ashkii was throwing food. Food with icing on it, and this was somebody else's house. All she could do though, for that moment, was choke out a scandalized, "Ash!"
Well, half scandalized. The other half was trying to keep from laughing at the sight of the little quail covered in frosting.
Kiarna
((XD Ashkii would make a perfect dessert for certain predators about now >>;;; ))
Well, when things were flying through the air that could quite conveniently fit in ones' mouth, just what does a bat-girl do?
"Fweeeeeee!" she giggled, jumping up and catching the cupcakes thrown at her in the mouth, barreling backwards heels over head from the impact. Yummeh. Then she loaded her wings with cupcakes and alternatively threw and ate them.
Kiarna, without pause, scooped up a cupcake and flung it at Kai.
Kierla watched, stunned, as if not knowing whether to be amused, devastated, embarrassed, or some combination of the three. "Er...sorry, Miss Kai," she attempted.
Kaiyumi
Raziel laughed, covering his head so the cupcake hit his arms instead. With a grin, he too picked up a cupcake, tossing them at Yachiru and Ashkii, as well at Kaiyumi for the heck of it. Now this was more fun then eating the cupcakes.
He was being very un-Raziel like, but hey, might as well have a little fun, right?
At the commotion, and the sight of flying cupcakes, Akunade shook her head, though a smile was on her face as she quickly trotted back to the kitchen, leaving Kaiyumi and the others there.
Kaiyumi meeped as she was hit squarely in the face. She blinked for a moment, before grinning at Kierla, Kiarna and Aletea. "It's no problem!" She said cheerfully. "It happens a lot in this household..." Picking up another cupcake, she rose her eyebrows in warning to the others, tossing it up and down in her hand. "Anyone else want to join the kids?" The bouncy girl offered.
Aletea
Ashkii seemed to be the only one of the toddlers that didn't have some sort of block or catch instinct that kept them from getting hit by the cupcakes. He was hit once before he dived to the ground, hiding behind the couch. The quail peeked out cautiously from behind it, several cupcakes hoarded in his hands.
And an idea came to him. If they could catch them, there were alwasy other options to getting them with the cupcakes...
So he crawled around the couch, staying hidden behind things until he was at the opposite side of the room - and then proceeded to sneak up behind Raziel and Yachiru. He smashed a few over Raziel, and then did the same to Yachiru before attempting to flee again.
Aletea chuckle at Kaiyumi, before waggling her finger at her with a mock-stern tone. "Now, now, that isn't..."
While she was speaking, she snaked a hand out and grabbed a cupcake, chucking it at Kaiyumi in the middle of her sentance. Then she did the same to Kiarna and Kierla, though her advantage had been lost by then.
Kiarna
Kiarna yelled, "I'M IN~nyu!" and proceeded to toss a cupcake casually at Kierla, who caught it in a hand, stunned. "Come on, Onee-chan~nyu! Join in!" Then she threw herself, yelling and screaming and laughing into the battle.
Kierla blinked slowly at the cupcake mashed into her hand, for what seemed like a miniature eternity. Then, she raised her hand - and threw it as hard as she could at the back of Kiarna's head. She smiled smugly as it splattered the target. "Gotcha!"
A cupcake knocked the wind out of her as it hit her stomach. "Hey!" she yelled, grabbing ammunition and returning fire.
"Eep!" Yachiru squeaked as she felt something smash into her. Exposing her teeth in an evil little smile, she gathered cupcakes in her wings like in a basket, then swung the entire load of them toward Ashkii. Unfortunately, she hadn't quite yet perfected the aiming of this new technique, and instead the numerous cupcakes tumbled through the air toward Raziel.
Kaiyumi
"GAH!" Raziel covered his head as he was pelted with many cupcakes. He was sticky with icing, and yet, he grinned in a similar, 'evil' way. Gathering cupcakes in his arms as Yachiru had done, she instead tossed them upwards, scattering them in the air so, as they fell, they may hit each person. He himself however, scrambled under the table to prevent himself from getting hit from his own plan.
Kaiyumi fell over as another cupcake unexpectedly splatted in her face. Rising, she wiped a bit of the icing off of her face with her sleeve, before grabbing another cupcake, grinning as she chucked it at Aletea, and then throwing a couple at Kiarna. The girl laughed with delight as she watched everyone join in, ducking every so often. She however, once again, got hit in the head with a cupcake, this time the cupcake Raziel had thrown.
Aletea
Ashkii had swiftly become almost entirely covered with cupcakes, from both Yachiru and Raziel's attack. Flapping his wings stickily (for it seemed difficult to move them alot when they're coated in frosting) he leapt for cover once more. He realized something, then; the balloons were still up there, and their strings were dangling...
Moving out from behind his hiding place, he leapt at the strings and managed to snag a few; quickly, he pulled them down until they were a shield of sorts, though it was remarkably difficult to keep this shield down.
Aletea happened to look up when a cupcake started to fall - and frantically threw herself aside. It wound up missing her, but the couch had been fatally wounded. Of course, she would have done much better if she hadn't managed to land on a few cupcakes.
Kiarna
OMG IT WAS RAINING CUPCAKES!!
Yachiru danced in this so-called rain, licking the frosting from her lips.
Mmm. This was heaven.
Then she noticed Ashkii's makeshift shield, and pouted. No fair! Flinging herself through the air at him, she leeched onto the balloons and tried to bite and pop them.
Kiarna was not nearly as fortunate as Aletea, catching several of Raziel's cupcakes right in her eyes. Spinning around, clutching at her eyes, she bumped into Kierla -
- who fell over, laughing. It had been a long time since she had last laughed...
Then she was up again, grabbing the cookie that Yachiru had abandoned and chucking it like a Frisbee as hard as she could at the nearest person.
Kaiyumi
Raziel laughed, which was quite unusual for him. He watched with amusement at Ashkii and Yachiru as he crawled out from under the table.
Sadly for him, he seemed that he was the 'nearest person' to Kierla. With a squeak, he, like Kaiyumi had, fell over, blinking.
Kaiyumi giggled as she watched Aletea, offering her hand up, though quite catiously. In her other hand, which was behind her back, she clutched two cupcakes.
...Just...in case...she...got hungry?
Watching from behind the walls, Kaiyumi's other child Sasuke stood, raising his brows and snorting with laugher at the sight of everyone. "Oye, Kaiyumi. Here..." He smirked as he tossed over a couple of plates, which landed neatly on the table. On each plate was a cream pie...
"Compliments of the family..." Sasuke rolled his eyes.
...Oh good grief. Giving a tiny wave, Sasuke ducked out of the way just as Kaiyumi chucked one of her cupcakes at him.
Aletea
Ashkii gave a startled shriek when Yachiru managed to pop the balloons, and he tumbled backwards. He hadn't been expecting that at all. Luckily for him though, there were plenty of cupcakes on the ground (in varying states of squashed-ness) for his to use as ammo. And thus, snatching one up, he threw it at Yachiru before scrambling away.
Aletea took the hand that Kaiyumi offered, not thinking anything of it after having just being sent sprawling.
((Quick question - carpet, or wood, or something else for the floor in that room? >.> wink )
Kiarna
"Sorry!" Kierla apologized quickly to Raziel, before joining the fight again.
Yachiru caught the offending cupcake in her mouth again, and chomped on it happily. Indeed, as she sat there on the floor, she seemed to have completely forgotten the battle raging around her.
Then...stranger! Stranger!
But he were bringing a peace offering. Good, very good.
Abandoning the balloons and cupcakes, Yachi launched herself at the cream pies. She ate two, then grabbed one by the claw. Flapping her wings so she got some sort of shaky elevation, she propelled herself directly at Raziel, pie aimed for his face.
Hey. It always was a bunch of laughs in the cartoons, right?
Kiarna didn't notice the new option, instead firing another cupcake at Kierla.
In retribution, Kierla threw one back, but missed; instead hitting Ashkii. "Sorry!" she called.
Kaiyumi
Raziel smiled a bit, giving a wave at Kierla, which meant 'It's alright'. Before he would rise however...SPLAT. A pie in the face!
The pie dropped, the the boy licked off the cream from around his mouth, before wiping the rest off with his hand. With a rogueish grin, Raziel dived for a cream pie, grabbing two instead and tossing them at each of his two friends.
Wait, Raziel made friends?
Kaiyumi giggled, as she helped Aletea up. She waited for Aletea to rise to her feet, before throwing her hidden cupcake at her, and dashing towards the table with the pies.
Aletea
After he got hit by yet another cupcake, he made a decision. This time, the frosting-smothered quail was not about to let himself be hit by the cupcake. Well, it was actually pie, but that was besides the point. So he began to move out of the way, to the side - and happened to step and slip on the frosting that was coating the ground at that spot. Yet another startled squeal emanated from him, as he landed on his back.
And he would have still been missed by the pie, if it hadn't been for his hands jerking up into the air as he fell. The pie hit them, then tumbled down and landed on top of his head. So now, not only was he entirely coated in frosting, he had cream dripping from the top of his head.
As Aletea got hit pointblank in the face with that cupcake, she swiftly wiped it off and leapt after Kaiyumi. Kai was far closer to the pie's then her, so she knew who'd make it first. Thus, she instead grabbed Kai's legs to knock her down.
Kiarna
Yachiru gurgled with delight, clapping the tips of her wings together in a makeshift applause. "Murr!" she shrieked.
Then, she remembered something.
Rushing over to the corner that had been previously inhabited by her, knocking Kierla over in the process, she let out a little sob. "Stellaluna!"
There was frosting all over the book!
To her, this was a horrible crime, unforgivable. She glared at Ashkii, at Raziel, at everybody. It was all their fault!!
Kiarna eeped, and ran under a table. Hopefully Yachi wouldn't start crying again.
Kierla, however, glided over to the child, taking the frosting-covered book from her. Then she wiped the frosting off with a sleeve, and handed it back to her. "You see, Yachi, that could be fixed."
Yachi shrilled her relief.
Kiarna weakly giggled, "Hehe...I should have thought of that..."
Kaiyumi
Raziel grinned a bit as he helped Ashkii up. "At least the pie tastes good...?" He commented as he watched the cream drip off Ashkii. Unlike Kai, he had nothing inhis hands...
At the moment anyways.
The boy then winced as he saw the icing covered book clutched in Yachiru's hands. Guilt rose, and he cringed as he noticed the look on Yachiru's face. Thank goodness for them however, when Kierla wiped up the icing with ease. He went towards the table, grabbing the huge ziplock bag that held the balloons, pouring them all out, before moving over to Yachiru, opening the bag. "Put it in here...it won't get dirty..." He muttered with a nod of his head.
"Woah!" Kaiyumi squealed as she toppled to the ground, the grin still on her face. She turned to look at Aletea, sticking her tougue out as she attempted to crawl, dragging Aletea along, to the pies.
Aletea
After seeing that another impending disaster was averted, Ashkii noted that most everything was gone. Well, not actually gone - just covering the floor, walls, couch, chair...i.e. everything. So he instead turned his attention to himself, grinning at Raziel as he licked some of the cream off his hands. It was good!
After licking the icing and cream from around his lips, he then began to lick the cream and icing off his fingers. Being a toddler, he saw this as the most efficient means to cleaning himself off. But needless to say, to get the quail clean, it may take a bath or two...especially with his feathers.
Aletea remained latched onto Kaiyumi's legs as the other woman crawled forward. When they finally reached the table, Aletea sprang forward at the pies' - and unfortunatly, misjudged the distance. She ran right into the table, and overturned it...along with the remaining pies.
She eyed them, giving an awkward laugh, "Well, I guess that's that."
Kiarna
Kiarna pouted. Darn. No more food fighting? Ah well...
Yachiru noticed that everything seemed to be calming down now. Well, it was much fun while it lasted.
Then she remembered something. Dashing toward where she thought her drawing lay - she couldn't exactly tell, there was too much food splattered everywhere - and felt around for it. When she pulled it out of the mess, she dusted it off with the newfound skill Kierla had just shown her, and presented it to Raziel and Ashkii. "Murr!" she shreed.
Then Yachiru promptly fell asleep, frosting still smeared all over her face.
Kierla watched the snoozing figure for a few seconds, then spoke: "I guess we'd better get going now...
Kaiyumi
The boy smiled at Yachiru, and her drawing. "It's very nice..." He appoved with a nod of his head and a grin. Raziel then stretched, emitting a tiny sigh. He brushed some crumbs from his hair before rubbing his eyes. Despite his...'mature' personality, as Sasuke sometimes put it, Raziel was still just a child, and got tired quite easily.
Kaiyumi's expression dropped. Aww...already? With a sigh, she nodding grudgingly. "Alright...It was great having you guys over!" Her face lit up. "Maybe we can do this again someday?!" She beamed at the idea, though she mentally wondered if she could put plastic wrap over to walls, floor and funiture next time, so they'd be more prepared for a food fight...
Or maybe they should just do it in the backyard.
"Before you guys leave, Raziel wants to give Ashkii and Yachiru something..." She rose her brows at the child, whom instantly brightened. He had forgotten! Scrambling to his feet, he went to his room to retrieve them.
As they waited, Kaiyumi yawned, eying the room with half a grin, half a frown.
When Raziel return, he held six plushies in his arms. Two of each animal. A cat, quail and a bat. Kaiyumi's grin widenened. "These are gifts from Raziel...and I guess, his sister Ryuusei."
A girl popped in, her red hair falling a bit over her eyes as she waved. "I thought it'd be nice if Raziel gave his new friends something, so I set off to work on some plushies..." The girl was obviously tired, as she yawned, rubbing her eye. "I made 9 in total. 3 for each of the kids..." She smiled a bit, giving a tiny nod of her head before excusing herself.
"Go to bed Ryuusei..." Kaiyumi called to her. "You derserve some rest..." She then eyed Raziel, whom strolled up to Ashkii, depositing 3 plushies in front of him. Yachiru however, was asleep, so he held them out to Kiarna and Kiela instead.
Aletea
Ashkii was a very happy little quail. He picked up the plushies and snuggled them, all the while grinning at Yachiru's drawing. It was somewhat comic to see the toddler holding all three like he was, covered in frosting and with a sleepy smile on his face. Luckily (or perhaps unluckily for Aletea, who would have to clean him), the frosting had congealed enough that it didn't rub off onto the plushies.
"I'll bwing a ober a toy for you an' Yachi next time," was what Ashkii chirped out to Raziel and the sleeping bat girl, as they had both exchanged gifts and he hadn't. He managed a half wave without dropping the plushies, and then stepped over to Aletea.
Aletea grinned at Kaiyumi, Kierla and Kiarna. "You know...next time, let's do this outside. Or at least rotate houses so that just Kaiyumi doesn't have such a big mess to clean up."
She ruffled Ashkii's hair - or rather, attempted to ruffle it. With a rueful shake of her head, "I need to get this one cleaned up before it all gets permanently stuck in his feathers. This was fun...See you all another time!"
And then, the sticky quail in tow, they left.
((Bwa~ Such fun...))
Kiarna
Kiarna squealed, then cast a glance at Yachiru, and lowered her voice. "Thank you Raziel~nyu!"
She attempted to scoop up Yachiru in her arms, but the girl wriggled and clamped a mouth full of sharp teeth at the offending person. Kiarna winced and gave Kierla a look that said, 'I guess you have to take her home...'
Kierla nodded and picked Yachiru up, who snuggled in her arms happily. She offered the very slightest hint of a smile at Aletea and Ashkii - finally beginning returning to her old monotonous ways - and said, "Maybe next time we should plan a picnic...just...in case.."
Then she faced Kai and Raziel and tilted her head in a small bow. "Thank you for having us over. Hopefully we can play together again." With those words, she quickly glided out the door and out of sight, dragging Kiarna behind her.
