It was a crystal clear night, and the black, dark, foreboding sky was twinkling brightly with the shine of many a different stars, some brighter then others, the North Star the brightest of them all. Suddenly, rustling could be heard from amongst the trees in the humongous, thick, lush green forest below, followed by a loud *POP!* as Pink-Ruby yet crystal-like egg popped within seconds, turning into a pile of cream and pink dust will fell softly upon the damp foliage of the forest floor. The rustling grew louder and louder as a young human-like child, with light-pink shiny hair, deep black eyes, small fuchsia-coloured wings, and light peachy skin, emerged from the dust - which disappeared as soon as the child had fully formed; it's right foot upon where the last inch of dust left. - What was this being? And more importantly, why was it here? What was its purpose? What did it want? - The young child tried to stand up to get a better look around and to gather her bearings, but fell immediately back down to the ground, landing on a soft pile of slightly wet moss. She sat down on her knees and sighed. "Where am I?" she asked herself. "What am I?" she said, noticing that she had a pair of feather-weight wings on her back. "Maybe I can use these to try and fly around this place?" she said out loud, and concentrating hard, she got up, jumped slightly off the ground, and fell down once more with a *BUMP!*. After many days of hard practising, the young child had finally managed to fly without falling down, and so curious was she as to if there were other like herself, she flew deeper and deeper into the forest. But then she saw people, other people that looked like her, only, they didn't have wings, and they didn't have pointy ears like her either, so she decided to stop flying, and instead, she walked the rest of the distance into the down on her legs. Then she came across a small market stall, as there was often various different stalls open on Market Day, and today was one of those days, it was a Saturday you see. The child walked slowly up to the stranger, who greeted her kindly and over time they eventually became very good friends, and the young sales-woman decided to name the child, Aelita. The child nodded in agreement to this, and that is what she was called, from that day on. Then one day, when Aelita and the sales-woman, whose name was Celeste, were walking through the forest where Aelita was "born", they stumbled across the spot where, Aelita had pointed out, was where she could remember forming from dust and into what she was now. As the pair looked around the area, a series of loud *POP!*s could be heard from the spot where Aelita had first appeared, where each *POP!* had occurred, there was left behind a small pile of uniquely coloured dust - and since that is what had happened to Aelita, and she had wings like a Fairy, Celeste decided that she would call the wonderful creatures, Fairy Dusts. So she collected each pile of dust, putting each one in it's own little glass jar , and labelled then in accordance to the order she bottled them in. "How to distripute these to new owners? Hm....." Celeste asked herself. "Ah ha!" she yelled. "I will sell them at my market stall, so that each one may find a caring, loving owner to go to and to grow up happily with" she said, a triumphant smile on her face.

And so from that day forth, Celeste has continued to sell these Fairy Dusts in her market stall, hoping to find each one a loving owner who will care for them as they grow up and find themselves and others like them..

Please follow all these rules to ensure that everyone has a pleasant stay in the shop, thankyou!

  • You must post in the shop at least once every 2 weeks - I can't just have all my hardwork (and beleive me, these pets take a very long time to color, as each one is individually shaded - I don't use any shading templates, except for if and when I cell-shade a Fairy Dust), and your pet won't grow to it's next stage at all unless you're active, they need attention you know sad wink . And if you arn't going to be active for a while (for like, a month or longer), PM me and tell me why and for how long so that i don't accidently re-sell your pets due to their owner neglecting them.

  • Respect everyone in the thread - Being nasty (eg. calling people names, swearing etc) is not nice and creates a negative attitude in the shop, making an unfriendly place to be (and we don't want that to happen no then do we? wink )

  • Don't steal ANY of the art, and/or concept(s) that are in this shop, and absloloutly NO LIEING - My Fairy Dusts idea has taken me nearly a year to put into practise, and I have worked very hard to pay for all the lineart and banners that are in this shop, i do not appriciate people stealing anything that belongs to me. (steal anything from my shop and I WILL report you to a mod within seconds of finding out!). And don't bother lieing to try and wiggle your way into being one of my favourite customers or anything like that - it's just pointless and pathetic, and beleive me, I will check your backround on gaia as well as figuiring out sooner rather than later as to what you're trying to do.

  • Don't whine and/or beg - I am working very hard here to complete all my quests so that I can help the people of gaia who are questing very hard, and begging for gold and/or items won't get you anywhere - you'll be automatically Blacklisted if you ignore you first warning (1 warning from me will get you put on my Grey List). And don't whine if you don't win an auction/raffle/flatsale - it does everybody's head in and it won't change anything, so don't do it!.

  • Roleplaying is not required, but is greatly loved - See the Roleplay section for more information. If you can't manage it, or don't know how to do it, PM me and I will help you out 3nodding .

  • Do not PM me with things related to the shop unless it is stated that you should do so - Instead, post them in this shop thread.

Can related Fairy Dusts Breed?
  • Most certainly NOT! That is just...ew whee sweatdrop . Maybe when we get some new techonology we'll allow them to combine genes to create a child that is not a "love-child" that will be indirectly related to both it's gene-base parents ^^....


Genes? What are "Genes" ?
  • Genes are what determine what Type your Fairy Dust is. For example, if one of a Fairy Dust's parents is of the Normal Type, and it's other parent is say, of the Feline Type, the child in question (who has the Genes of "N & Fe" will definetly be a Normal Fairy Dust. This is because the Gene on the Left is the Dominant Gene (and thus it stands a greater chance of it's Type Characteristics being passed onto Offpsring via Breeding), and the Gene on the Right is the Submissive Gene (meaning that because it's the weaker Gene, there is a much lesser chance of it's Type Characteristics being passed onto Offspring via Breeding). Also, most Fairy Dusts have just 2 Gene Types, in this case it is N (Normal) and Fe (Feline), but it is rumoured that some Fairy Dusts have 3 or MORE Gene Types in them, why this would be though, we are not sure of yet. Ok, so there are going to be different Species of Fairy Dust, how do we tell who's who, besides their Specie-specific Characteristics?
  • I'm glad you asked that! Every Fairy Dust will have a "tattoo" on some part of it's body, for example, a Feline Fairy Dust would have a cat-scratch-like tattoo on it's left wrist/paw.

Stage 1 - Jar of Fairy Dust:

This is just the Sketch of this stage, I will put up the Neat version of it when all the lineart peices have been completed and inked 3nodding .

This is the First Stage of all Fairy Dusts. - At this stage your pet can quite obvioiusly not talk (not even telepathicaly xp ), nor move or anything like that, the Fairy Dust just sits there, waiting until it's time is right to emerge and take form form the Dust itself.

This Stage Lasts: 5 Days

There is another form before this Stage, the Fairy Dust Egg which when exposed to the light of a Full Moon, pops and crumples down into "Fairy Dust" which is then collected and put in a jar to be Sold Off in the Marketplace (see the Sales Section however).

Stage 2 - Fairy Dust Child:

This is the Second Stage of all Fairy Dusts. - As you can now see, your Fairy Dust has emerged and taken form from the Dust that it literally once was. You will also note that you will now see that there are 2 different forms a Male form, and a Female form (the gender of your Fairy Dust is discovered and written upon a label that was tied to the jar when your Fairy Dust was found, also on the label was written what Species of Fairy Dust it is). The Females have slightly bigger wings then the Males. The Males however are more confident then the females during this Stage, and they have more pointier ears then them, as you can see.

This Stage Lasts: 1 Week

Here you can find all the information on how to get yourself a Fairy Dust ^^, wether it be via a Flatsale, Auction, Raffle or other Special Event.


Flatsales:


The most common way of getting a Fairy Dust, is by getting one via a Flatsale. But to get one from a Flatsale, there are a few things you need to know ^^:

1. Flatsale Jars of Fairy Dusts 4k each.
2. You may only buy 1 Fairy Dust (wether it be an Adult, Normal Jar, Child, or Mystery Jar) during a Flatsale - you cannot buy one for yourself and then one for a friend.
3. It's first come first serve - please don't whine/complain/etc if you don't get the one you wanted, there will always be future Flatsales.
4. Pure gold only please, no items.
5. Jars of Fairy Dust (and Fairy Dust Children) cost 4k each, Fairy Dust Adults cost 5k each (due to the complexity of their lineart).
6. Absoloutly NO MULE ACCOUNTS!
7. To Obtain a Fairy Dust during a Flatsale, just fill out and post the Flatsale Order Form that is below.
8. Absoloutly NO EDITING YOUR POST(S)! - It's unfair on everyone else.
9. A Flatsale does not begin until i post something like "The Flatsale Is Now OPEN!" in BIG RED writing,any Flatsale Forms posted before that WILL be ignored!
10. Every so often I may slip in a "Mystery Jar" or two. These Jars will be labled as such and it colours and gender wll not be known until they reach Stage 2. It coud be a very rare or an unusual Fairy Dust, or even just a normal Fairy Dust with rare or unusual markings, hence why Mystery Jars cost 4.5k each in a Flatsale.

If I stumble across a rare or unusal Fairy Dust, it will most likely put up here for Auction ^^. Again, these have a few rules that you need to follow if you plan to take part in one of the shop's auctions:

1. Auction Jars of Fairy Dusts have a Starting Bid (SB) of 5k.
2. You may only bid on 1 Fairy Dust during an Aucution - co-owning is however allowed.
3. It's first come first serve - please don't whine/complain/etc if you don't get the one you wanted, there will always be future Auctions.
4. Pure gold is preffered, but I will accept all donation items, including sealed envelopes, each valued by me by their lowest Marketplace price.
5. Jars of Fairy Dust have a starting bid of 5k each, Fairy Dust Adults have a starting bid of 6k each (again, it's due to the complexity of their lineart).
6. Absoloutly NO MULE ACCOUNTS!
7. When you post which Fairy Dust you want, just say something along the lines of "I would like to bid *insert Gold and/or items here* on Fairy Dust *insert number here* please".

Raffles:


Sometimes poor Abandoned, or even Special Event (eg. Halloween) Fairy Dusts will be raffled off, since it gives everyone a very fair and equal chance of getting said Fairy Dust(s) ^^, and there are only a few rules that we ask you to follow:

1. The prices of the raffle tickets will vary per each Fairy Dust but it will usually be about 100g per ticket.
2. The ammount of tickets will be unlimited.
3. You may use items and/or gold to pay for raffle tickets.
4. Fairy Dusts of any stage may be raffled of via raffles.
5. You may buy as many tickets for yourself as you like - but you can't buy them for other people and mules are not allowed.
6. You may only purchase raffle tickets on 1 Fairy Dust if there is more then 1 up for raffle.

There are currently no special events....


Customs:


From time to time there will be 1 or even a few Custom Slots OPEN, which will mean you may order a custom coloured (I'm not sure about lineart edits yet) Fairy Dust....for a certain price, of course wink .

Simple Custom:

1 colour for the Hair, 1 colour for the Skin, 1 colour for the wings, 1 color for the Eyes, and if starting from Stage 1, 1 color for the Jar, Vine, and Butterfly. No Lineart Edits.

Cost: 6k (This is just to see how things go)

Fairly Simple Custom:

Up to 2 colours for the Hair, 2 colours for the Skin, 2 colours for the wings, 2 colours for the Eyes, and if starting from Stage 1, 2 colours for the Jar, Vine, and Butterfly. No Lineart Edits.

Cost: 8.5k (This is just to see how things go)

Medium Custom:

Up to 3 colours for the Hair, 2 colours for the Skin + simple set of same-themed markings (like the ones Aelita has) , up to 2 colours for the wings + simple markings, up to 3 colours for the Eyes, and if starting from Stage 1, 3 colours for the Jar, Vine, and Butterfly. No Lineart Edits.

Cost: 10k (This is just to see how things go)

Slightly Complex Custom:

Up to 4 colours for the Hair, 2 colours for the Skin + slightly complex set of same-themed markings, up to 3 colours for the wings + simple markings, up to 2 colours for the Eyes, and if starting from Stage 1, 3 colours for the Jar, Vine, and Butterfly. Up to 3 Simple Lineart Edits.

Cost: 13k (This is just to see how things go)

Complex Custom:

Up to 5 colours for the Hair, 3 colours for the Skin + complex set of same-themed markings, up to 3 colours for the wings + complex markings, up to 3 colours for the Eyes, and if starting from Stage 1, 3 colours for the Jar, Vine, and Butterfly - with any of them having simple markings on them. Up to 2 Fairly Complex Lineart Edits.

Cost: 18k (This is just to see how things go)

Cosplay Custom:

Yes, that is correct, you may order a Cosplay Fairy Dust, however, they will be quite costly and they have a seperate order form. You must be able to give me a reference picture (the more the better, word links only though please) or I cannot do it. You must also provide me with the name of the person/people/company that came up with the character/person/creature you wish to have a Cosplay Custom of, eg. Cardcaptor Sakura (Sakura herself) is (c) CLAMP, except for if it was a cosplay of something such as, i don't know, an Egyptian God such as Ra, although reference pictures would still be needed, but those kinds of Fairy Dusts would proarbly be Auctioned anyway.

Cost: 25k (This is just to see how things go)

My policy is 1 Custom pet (starting from it's 1st stage), for 1 Fairly Simple Custom fairy dust (starting from it's 1st stage). if you're intrested, Pm me and we'll talk about it (I'll also need you to include a shop link in the PM plus the details of what i'd get in the Cusom Pet Trade off you in return. This Berry will make your Fairy Dust grow straight to it's next stage as soon as they eat it, and fairy dusts love this berries as their colours suggest, they taste fresh, sharp, and zingy, however they are aufully hard to chew on, which is why they are best to be sucked on like a boiled sweet.

Haltenin Berry:

This Berry will halt your Fairy Dust's growth and stops it from growing to the next stage as soon as they eat it, although they will not like it as this berry's dark colours suggest, it tastes unpleasant and bitter, and it squishes easy, so be very careful when pick it.

Please Note: This can be used on all the Fairy Dust stages except for when they reach their Adult stage as it will have no effect then. This can only be used once per stage and only makes the pet grow by 1 stage, unless you buy them another and use that to make it go to it's next stage. The effects of this Berry can only be reversed (to restore you pet back to growing at a normal rate), by buying and eating a Growenin Berry, or else your pet will never grow to it's next stage.

Full Moon Spring Water:

Rumour has it that every month, during the night of a Full Moon, the Moon itself is said to shed tears that fall down to Earth and has, over thousands of years, formed a Secret Spring where the tears have collected. However, the tears only fall during the 3 days the a Full Moon lasts, and the Spring is only visable to the Elders of The Forest (of which there are very few), when the moon is full and high. And according to the Acient Forest Lore, 1 small bottle of Full Moon Spring Water is all it takes to transform an Adult fairy Dust. Of course, as soon as the Full Moon has passed, the Secret Spring dries up and is not able to have any of the Moon's Tears collected from it, making this ancient and legendary liquid very, very rare!

That' right, when your Fairy Dust becomes and Adult, they may breed and have their own offspring. This process is pretty complicated, but it's all explained below (I know its quite long, but please read it >< wink :

It is said that whe two Fairy Dusts reach Adulthood and wish to have children of their own, they breed as normal human beings would, only the Female Fairy Dust will take about 2-3 days the lay (they do not give birth so to speak, they lay eggs instead), on average up to three Fairy Dusts eggs, but it's not that simple. The eggs contain the DNA and the Genes of the Female Fairy Dust, each one with a different combination. These are then placed into a Jar of Mixing and they are then covered with the blood of the Male Fairy Dust, which is given by him willingly. But before tis is done, his blood is actually left outside for 24 hours and under the starlight at night, the blood dries and becoes dust. This dust which contains the DNA and Genes of the Male Fairy Dust, joins to each egg and within 2 days, the eggs crumble down into seperate piles of Fairy Dust, and then they are all put into seperate jars which are sealed to prevent early emerging before an owner is found. The entire process may take up to a week (7 days) to be fully complete.

Research so far indicates that because of this method, so far, same sex couples cannot breed.

  • Fairy Dusts may have many different Breeding partners, they are not very fussy, however some RPing is required between the 2 Fairy Dusts before Breeding is able to take place.

  • Breeding can only happen with 1 Male and 1 Female, no same-sex Breedings may occur.....yet! ninja

  • Please fill out the breeding Form in order to Breed. Both owners must have talked with me and both must be agreed that the Breeding is ok to take place.

  • As soon as you have posted the Form, send the trade and entitle it "Breeding Payment" and include what page the Breeding Form is on.

  • Fairy Dusts may only breed 3 times a month.

  • You cannot breed your own Fairy Dusts with each other, only with other owner's Fairy Dusts.

  • You may only keep 1 Jar of Fairy Dust from the Breeding if you so wish. That would mean 1 Jar per Owner and if there is a 3rd Jar, that Jar will be Raffled/Flatsaled/Auctioned off by the shop and each owner will get 1/4 of the money it sells for - as Breeding is not to be done soley for profit.

  • You may only Breed when there is at least 1 slot OPEN. It is also 1 slot per owner to keep it fair - no reserving either!

  • Send all trades to me, Guardian 0f Heaven. And the Breeding wil not begin until I have received both trades of the above ammount of gold (plus any extra gold for any Breeding-Enhancing Itesm you wish to purchase and be used) and that all trades have been confirmed.


Breeding Prices:

  • Normal Fairy Dusts cost 3k to Breed, that's 1.5k from each owner.
  • Canine AND Feline Fairy Dusts cost 4.5k to Breed, that's 2.25k from each owner.
  • Cosplay Fairy Dusts cost 6k to Breed, that's 3k from each owner.

Rolplaying (also known as RPing) is not required but is helpful so that i know you're still alive, and it dosn't even need to be really really heavy stuff, just fairly light, simple stuff will be fine, but no one-liners, try to make them a few lines at the least. Here are a few guidelines, rules, and bits of helpful information you need to know first though whee :

  • No God moding - Which basically means no doing things such as "*Person 1 stabs her enemy. Person 1's enemy dies instantly*". So in other words, you can't do something and make out that it's happend and it's over there and then. You can't kill off everyone and you can't control other people's fairy Dusts, you can only RP your own Fairy Dust(s).

  • Make it clear which Fairy Dust(s) of yours is RPing. - Eg, "Aelita: Aelita hummed to herself quietly as she walked around the forest, the moonlight bouncing of her hair which glistend in the star light."

  • Keep it PG 13, nothing over that - Self explanatory.

  • Please don't use chatspeak and/or "l33t"speak - It's not needed when RPing and I find it highly irritating.

  • People who RP lots and of a fairly good quality will get rewards such as shop points/tokens and/or their pet may grow faster then other owner's Fairy Dusts as well as maybe discovering NEW/undiscovered items ^^.

  • No swearing/being rude/mean/etc - Again, self explanatory.

  • When we get a Guild for the Shop, you may have Diaries/Journals to keep track of your Guild AND Shop RPing (if you so wish to have a Diary/Journal for your Fairy Dust).

  • When you RP in the Shop Thread, please after that RP session is finished, copy and paste with dates etc ALL of the session's posts into your Journal.

  • RPing to build up a relationship between one of you Fairy Dusts and another's Fairy Dusts before they breed and afterwards is highly encouraged, infact, it may even up to chance of producing more Jars of Fairy Dust from the Breeding wink ninja .

    RP Requirments For A Fairy Dust To Become An Elder:

  • All of the above things and being very active in the thread generally (chatting only, bumping is not included as being "active" as such, no matter how useful it can be to the shop).

  • You must give me, the Shop owner, a very good reason why I should let your Fairy Dust become an Elder without you purchasing a Full Moon Spring Water Potion.
