As you wander into the thread a small birdlike creature zips in front of you. As you jump back startled the creature zips up to your face, and starts talking very fast
"Hello there, I'm Ilario and I'm the original Beirken"
He passes to puff out his chest in importance before he continues
"I'm supposed to show you around until Emmy gets here. Since she's of somewhere, as to where she is I don't know. Well then come on follow me." So saying he ends his speech and zips of in the direction of a sign that says "Rules/FAQ"

Arriving at the Rules/FAQ post you glance around in search of Ilario. Not seeing him you wander farther in and almost bump into a girl who is just standing there. Glancing up you notice that Ilario is perched on her shoulder. She grins at you
"Hey! I'm Emmy owner of this thread. I hope Ilario didn't talk your ear off, until you get used to him he can be quite annoying. Well anyway as you may have guessed this is the Rules/FAQ area. The Rules and FAQ are simply posted on the walls. Please read them, we wouldn't want you to break any rules or ask any questions that have already been answered."

1: No stealing teh arts. Doing so will result in imitate blacklisting.
2: No pulling out or withdrawing bids flatsales or auctions. This will result in greylisting
3: You may not beg or ask for anything for free.
4: Do not flame ANYONE in this thread!!
5: Do not complain about your pet not growing or prices or well, anything to do with the shop.
6: Keep all content PG-13, this is a kid friendly site.

More rules may be added at a later date but hopefully I wont need anymore

How can I get a Beirken?
You can get a Beirken through a flatsale, auction, or raffle. Once in a while there may be an event in witch you can get one some other way.

How much do Beirken cost?
At this point their 2.5k that may be changed later.

Can I have one for free please?
Weelllll since you asked so nicely.... NO!

But so and so got one for free!!
Well this isn't really a question but ohh well. I MAY give free ones to friend or people who I feel deserve them, but if you ask it pretty much rules you out.

Can I co-own with someone?
Sure. I really don't see any probablems with this.

Can I buy one for a friend?
See flatsale rules.

Can I work for you please?
Maybe. Talk to me for a bit give me a chance to get to know you and then ask about working for me.

I have a question that's not on this list can I PM you?
I'd prefer you posted it in the thread but if I don't answer in the next 24 hours or so you can pretty much guess I didn't see it. Feel free to PM me then.

RP Rules/FAQ

1. No god moding please please please!
2. Keep is PG-13 people this is a kids site
3. Please do not RolePlay other peoples Characters. This gets VERY anoying
4. When roleplaying post OOC (out of character) in something so people can tell such as () or []

Are these pets RP required?
No they're not. Of course if you RP there is a possibility of perks.

Where do we RP?
At this point just RP in thread if there is enough interest I may set up a RP thread at a later date.

As you finish reading Emmy comes up
"Oh good you're finished. Lets keep things moving right along shall we? Lets head over to the Story/Info area."
She hurrys off in the direction of the Story/Info area.

Arriving at the story post you find Emmy waiting for you.
"Kay lets get started. I figure I should tell you the story of the Beirken and how I found them."

-Insert yet another spiffy banner her this one for Story-

She sits down and begins to talk
"I was out wandering Gaia one day when I stumbled across a little island just of Barton Town. I figured that nothing had been there and I stared wandering. I went into a little forest and suddenly I was mobbed by bunch of little bird like creatures they surrounded me poking at me with their beaks. After a bit one of them hopped forward"
Here Ilario interrupts
"That was me!"
She smiles tolerantly
"Yes Ilario that was you. Well any way where was I, ahh yes any way he stepped forward and said
"Hello. My name is Ilario and I'm a Beirken. Who are you?"
I replied
"My name in Emmyata or Emmy for short. If you'll excuse my asking, How did you get here?
He tilted his head at me and he said
"I will tell you the story of the how the Beirken got here if you'll agree to find us homes."
I agreed and so he told me this story.

"A long time ago the Beirken used to be fairly well known in Gaia. We used to migrate every winter from Durem to Isle De Gambino and back again in summer, but one winter we waited to long to leave and so as we were over Barton a storm brought us down. Luckily we landed here instead of the ocean, but since we never showed up in Gambino they sold our homes thinking we were dead. So now we are stuck here unless someone takes us in you see."

She finishes her tale and bounces to her feet
"Now that you know how I found them where they came from lets move on to info on the Beirken"
She points to a wall
"There you should find any information you need on Beirken I'm going to head of for a bit. Have Ilario show you to the next area."

The Beirken have three sets of wings two on their backs and one on their heads the wings on their back don't fully develop until their final stage so until then they use the wings on their head to hover. Once they are full-grown they use the wings on their head as a kind of antenna to pick of frequencies in the air and identify each other. They also have two tails to help balance out their body weight in the air.

Also for roleplaying purposes Beirken CAN talk.

Ilario flits up behind you as you finish.
"Come on then I'll show you to the Beirken Moods area"
He darts off motioning for you to follow.

Emmy hurries up behind you panting
"Sorry it took me so long I had to set up a couple things in the next post. Well so now you know all about Beirken's and where they came from but what you don�t know is that they have very different personalities, just like humans. As you may have guessed Ilario has a cheerful personality, but there are many other personalities they're all listed over there"

Cheerful:
If your Beirken has a cheerful personality they're going to be a bit bouncy and fairly talkative. They're hardly ever sad about anything. This can be quite annoying after a while.

Woeful:
Your pet will be constantly sad about something and resist any attempts to cheer them up. The only time they seem even mildly happy is if everyone else around them is unhappy.

Lazy:
If you can get a lazy pet to move you very lucky usually they simply expect to be carried anywhere you want them to go. They of course would rather stay inside and eat or sleep as a result of this they tend to be a little on the pudgy side

Obsessive:
You'd better be a fairly clean person if you have this pet or else they'll drive you crazy. They have to have everything perfectly in place. If you have any other pets you'd better hope they have a tolerant nature.

Curious:
Once these pets get their wings working you cant keep anything out of their reach they have to see and touch everything. Their constantly breaking thing since once they've seen it they want to see if it breaks. I suggest having only non-breakable items in the house with this pet.

Hyper:
This pet is the exact opposite of lazy. They can't sit still they must be in constant motion. They also break many things but not because they mean to simply because they bump into so many things.

Thoughtful:
You'll often find this pet with their nose buried in a book or just sitting and thinking if you need a question answered this is the pet to ask, if you can get their attention that is.

Kind:
This is quite posibly the nicest pet their always looking to help someone or cheer someone up. Therefor they are constantly iritating pets with a woeful personality.

Emmy apears infront of you
"Well thats all the personalitys for now. Of course I may discover more later on. Go ahead and head over to the Beirken Stages post."
She rushes of towards it calling over her shoulder
"I'll meet you there."

As you enter this area you see that Emmy has set up a sheet with a light shinning on it but you cant see any thing because the room is to bright. Emmy grins at you
"Now you know what I had to set up"
Turning to Ilario she says
"Ilario please go turn of the lights"
He flitters of and suddenly its dark. You can now see three shadows behind the curtain. Emmy points at the curtain
"Now if you direct your attention to the curtain I will explain the stages. The Beirken have three stages Egg, Chicklet, and Adult

When you first get your Beirken it will be an egg. It will be given to you in a nest. It should stay there although sometime they learn how to use the little wings on either side of their egg to kind of bounce about. They make hardly any noise at this stage just a little squeak sometimes

When they are chiclets the top to their egg will come off and they will climb out and begin to explore, but they still return to their egg to sleep or think. So make sure you keep it in a place where they can get to it. At this stage they will begin to talk though it depends on your Beirken how well and how much.

Congratulations you Beirken is now full grown they will use one set of their wings to fly and the other to hover. They no longer use the wings on their head to fly but as a kind of feelers."
She smiles as she finishes.
"Well now you know all about the Beirken lets move on to how you can get one. We'll do that over at the Flatsales/Auctions/Raffles thread"
She starts off then stops
"Well come on then, get a move on. We dont want to take all day"

"Well this is the sale thread where you get Beirken.

The first and most comon way to get a Beirken is through a flatesale. I hold a flatsale about once a month. A pet in a flatsale costs 2k. The number of pets in the flatsale may vary."
She points to a board on the wall
"There I will what day and time the flatsale will be."

turnning she points to another board.
"That one has flatsale rules and will have pictures of the Beirken for sale before and during a flatsale"
Flatsale Rules:
1) The flatsale starts after and only after I post GO in big green letters like shown. No matter what time I said it would start any posts before this will be void.
2) Don't edit your post please please! This is not at all fair to other people. If you dont get the one you wanted just chose a different one and post again. I will be watching.
3) NO grumbling about not getting the one you wanted and making the one who got it feel guilty.
4) One per person per flatsale please. This does mean that you can buy one for yourself and one for a friend. Also there may be exceptions like it the flatsale goes long and non are selling I will probably let you buy another.

"Well now that we've got that straight lets move on to the second way, an auction.
Auctions will most likely be held around holidays such as Holloween, Christmas, and Valentines Day, but there may be other one as well. That sign over there will tell you if any auctions are being planned and the rules."

Auction Planned: Maybe a Holloween auction if I get the thread going in time.

Auction Rules:
1)No retracting bids
2) No sniping!! If someone bids in the last half hour of the auction it wil be extended another half an hour.
3) Do not bid what you don't have!
4) Be nice. If someone loses please dont gloat over them, and if you lose please dont whine and complain.

"Yes well here we are this is the customs area where you get to chose what you want you Beirken to look like. Prices are over on that wall. Why don't you go take a look?"

"I know they're expensive but if you make me a reasonable offer I might consider doing it for that. I just don't want to be swamped with orders. The three custom spots are another precaution against that.

"Although Beirken like looking after they don't like calling the people that own then owners. They prefer to call them keepers"
As you come into the area she gestures at the walls
