How do I get a character?
xxxThere will be various ways to obtain characters; quests, flatsales, auctions, giveaways, etc.

How much do they cost?
xxxTBD

Is RP required?
xxxYes.

What's required to grow?
xxxGrowth requirements can be found here.

Will my character ever be taken away from me?
xxxThey can be. If you're inactive for a certain amount of time there is a chance your character could be placed in the graveyard and eventually rehomed. You will be sent notice, when this happens, and you will have a chance to come back and keep your character. Customs and breedings will never be rehomed and instead will just be sent to the graveyard to rot unless you come back and ask for them back.

How many characters can I own?
xxxAs many as you like/can handle though there will be limits as to when you can get another character.

Can we breed characters?
xxxYes. Breedings will be available and there will be requirements to meet before you're able to breed a character. There will not, however, be inter-species breedings. Characters of different species and same-sex couples will have to 'adopt'.

[ The Origins ]

The tree is thought of as a sort of Diety, or that there is a god that oversees it. And it could just be a myth but the different parts of the tree made the people, or set the seeds to bring them into existence.

The merpeople grew from the roots, the tree's magical energy mixed in with water, and as the water seeped through the ground and out to the ocean, people grew. Slowly, but surely and made their home in the water from which they came.

As the tree shed its bark it mixed in with the rocks of the Earth and melded together, and over time people were carved out of the stone. They did not just live amongst the stones, they made their home on the land, living under the god's tree and branching out to live elsewhere, in the mountains and by the shore.

And as the wind blew through the leaves something special happened with it, a spore, a spark of life mixed in with the feathers of the birds that already lived on the planet. In a burst of downy feathers the first harpy came into existence. Wild and free, they could walk and perch amongst the trees, but instead decided to take flight like the birds around them and took to the sky.

[ The Treaty ]

Long ago, in order to return peace to the land, the leaders of each race gathered together and created a peace treaty. They split the crystal, within the sacred tree, into three parts and went their separate ways.

The harpies took to the sky, using the crystal's power to break their land away and suspend it in the heavens. The merpeople left their lake homes and used the crystal's power to purify the oceans and make themselves new homes. The trolls remained behind, leaving the last of the crystals hidden inside of the tree. They protected the tree and, in return, the tree's crystal provided them with fertile soil, so that their gardens would flourish.

Peace remained a constant thing in the lands for quite some time. Interactions between the races was (and still is) limited. With a few, rare, individuals interacting outside of official business

troll territory

User ImageUfira

---Ufira is the northern most capitol of the troll territory. While the weather is not as harsh as Trutrux, the trolls that reside in this capitol are still heartier than those in the southern areas and can withstand the cold better. They experience a wider variety of weather than their northern neighbors. However, the waters around this capitol are still very cold year round, mostly thanks to the run off from the snowy mountains.

        User ImageTutrux

---The northern most village in the troll territory, Trutrux has so of the harshest weather and climates of the land. Almost always covered in snow, there is a few brief periods of time (lasting less than a month, usually) where the snow melts and the temperatures rise enough that one does not need to be bundled up.

        User ImagePruipt Mountains

---Located on the northern most continent and to the far east, lays the Pruipt Mountain range. Unlike Tutrux, the village situated in the mountains in the west, Pruipt is always covered in snow. Not many outsiders venture up into these icy and snowy mountains because of how dangerous they are. If they do, a guide is most often hired from Tutrux. However, there are a select few who have chosen to forgo a guide though it is dangerous.

              User ImagePruipt Hot Springs

---Settled high into the Pruipt Mountains lays a natural occurring hot spring. Take the journey up into the dangerous mountains, and survive, and you'll be rewarded with a dip into these springs (don't worry, they're not too hot that they'll burn you!). Some believe that the springs have healing properties and will cure aches and pains if you submerge yourself into them.

User Image

User ImageCodurh

---Codurh is situated next to and over the lake on the western most continent of the troll's territory. Bridges cross over the river, connecting the two sides to each other and house run along the edges at the narrow side of the lake. A few homes are scattered north, along the river that flows out of the lake. Fresh water fishing is a big staple of this capitol and, despite there being laws against intermingling, the trolls of Codurh have a close relationship with the merpeople inhabiting the lake. This capitol is probably the most welcoming, out of all the villages, to mixed race couples.

        User ImageIkesh

---Tucked back in the forests, the trolls that live in this town are a secluded bunch and tend to keep to themselves. They've learned the best ways to build their homes in trees and prefer this to being on the ground and vulnerable. You will find a few mixed race couples here that have migrated from Codurh or other areas of Osaia but there aren't many as the trolls in this village are slow to trust.

        User ImageNekuhr Moutnains

---Located on the south western continent, the Nekuhr Mountains are dry and in habitable. It is home to some of the tallest and rockiest mountains in Osaia. It has even been said that if you climb to the very top, you can catch a glimpse of the floating islands the harpies live on. These are just stories as it is very dangerous to climb to the very top, as the air becomes very thin the higher up you climb.

User Image

User ImageAdend

---Adend is the main capitol of the troll territory. If there are things to decide, leaders from the other continents travel to meet at a special place not far from Adend. The eldest troll will always reside in this capitol. The trolls of this village have a very special task --- to care and watch over the great tree that houses their crystal. Outsiders are welcomed but are treated warily and are not allowed to wander past a certain point in the village.

        User ImageSudone

---Sudone was once a thriving village that boasted a welcome to any of those of mixed race couples and anyone else that wished to reside there. However, over time tragedy struck. The few, hardy, crops that could survive the desert setting slowly began to fail and eventually the river dried up. Soon after this the village became desolate and mostly abandoned as the residents scattered to more hospitable areas. Those left behind either had no where else to go or were old and stubborn. You can still find trolls living in the mountain caves here but they're mostly just passing through. And those that are living there permanently aren't too friendly.

        User ImageAhand

---Despite the failure of Sudone, Ahand is still thriving and the lake has created a sort of oasis in the middle of the desert. This town is mostly made up of mixed couples and those who don't mind living around the other races. Back when Sudone's river dried up, Ahand had come under attack. Despite the ambush, those that lived in Ahand was able to fight back the weaker residents of Sudone.

        User ImageMezoya

---The prison of the trolls. Break enough of their laws and you'll find yourself taking up residence in this mountain prison. In order to get to this prison, a bridge and fortress must be passed through. Visitors are not allowed, though that doesn't not stop some from trying to sneak in to see their loved ones or even try to break them out. Get caught doing either of these, though, and you'll find yourself thrown in with said loved ones. The toughest and strongest trolls are sent to guard this place.

        User ImagePreinora

---Another fishing village, Preinora specializes in those catches found in the salt waters of the ocean. They are the closest village to Adend and supply said village with plenty of fish. A lot of boys from this village are sent to train in Adend, after a certain age. It seen as a privilege and some of the most known guards have been from this town.

        User ImageEkamt Mountains

---Located on the south eastern continent (on the lower section), the Ekamt Mountains are green and lush. Lay lowing mountains benefit greatly from the ocean life that lies beyond them. There are many valleys in these mountains and they could even be made into a livable habitat if one knows how to cultivate the land the right way.

User Image

User ImageEkix

---Ekix is a very remote roll village found amongst the southern islands. Despite their remoteness, they have a close relationship with Adend and are one of the villages that is on call to help protect the great tree should the need arise.

        User ImageIre Valcano

---Ire volcano is a dormant volcano that has not erupted for centuries. It is not known when exactly the last time it erupted was, as it's been so long ago, but the villagers from Ekix are ever vigilant in keeping a close eye on it. If it were to erupt, it stands to do some damage to the great tree and other surrounding areas.

Art expected at each stage of growth:
          • Infant stage: full-body, baby (age 1 - 4). This stage only happens if you do a breeding.
          • Stage one: full-body, child (age 5 - 12). Chibi art is acceptable for this stage, but not necessary, so long as the character looks young.
          • Stage two: waist-up, teen (age 13 - 19)
          • Stage three: waist-up, young adult (20 - 29)
          • Stage four: Full-body, adult. (30+)

      Important timelines and due dates:
          • Hired artists will be expected to provide unique, fully colored and shaded art of at least one character every two months in addition to all growths for that character.
          • Completed growth art will be due within one month after the post date of a growth request barring special circumstances. If you experience major issues that prevent you from keeping to this schedule, please inform staff beforehand so that the player can be given the option to either switch to a new artist or choose to wait for a two week extension.

      Part time VS full time
          • Part time artists are required to draw at least 1 character every 3 months.
          • Full time artists are required to draw at least 2 characters every 2 months.

      Payment:
          • Option of one full custom character after passing quest inspection plus more if active*
          • Full commission price for customs (including potential bribe prices) and flatsales
          • 80% auction profit to the artist | 20% to the shop

*At startup, each staff member gets an initial staff pet. If you’d rather *not* have one and don’t wish to RP in the shop, that is fine. There will be a check in thread, in the staff forum, for staff to check in with each month to show that they’re active. After so many consecutive months of activity, you earn another free pet. You are free to draw this pet yourself (if you’re an artist) or you may ask another artist to draw it for you. These staff pets will be treated as full customs.
