Shop Rules

- Follow all Gaia Terms of Service, and any additional rules in the guild.
- Roleplay is required for students to grow.
- Students may be rehomed if there is 3 months of inactivity from you, meaning no RPs, or posts
in the thread.
- Students must be claimed in the certing thread within 1 month of having received the character,

and sorted within two months.

30 years after the Second Wizarding War, wrought up by none other than the Dark Lord,
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry looks in as tip-top shape as a school built in 990
A.D. could look. The rebuilding of Hogwarts took many years, but now, there were barely any
signs that there ever was a war within its walls. It is a story that only dwells in the back of the
minds of the professors, as they watch each student ever more closely for any signs that they
have fallen into the dark arts.

Students, however, only hear of the stories from their parent's retellings of the Boy-Who-Lived-
And-Defeated-You-Know-Who. They never got the complete story, as it seemed they were
still afraid to whisper his name even though he was vanquished. They were afraid he might be
back once more, since it has happened before.

Prejudice on blood status is dying down by a law put into place by a reformed Ministry of Magic,
after they have realized that pro-pure-blood laws divide their population and give rise to Dark
Wizards. This doesn't stop old pure-bloods from speaking in hushed voices about the treachery
of mudbloods, or that the Ministry has gone down the drain. They were especially bitter about
not being able to keep a helpful house-elf around anymore. These remaining pure-bloods were
from families that were too afraid to fight for the Dark Lord, and rather hide at home and brood on
the sidelines.

Every so often, there were rumors about small groups of wizards trying start up a Dark Wizard
Committee, but they were brushed off, seeing as the rumors came from intoxicated wizards
leaving taverns early in the morning.

Stages

Y1: Students that receive a Letter of Acceptance will need to respond to it by owl in order to
reserve their place at Hogwarts. First years must then obtain all the supplies attached to their
letter before the start of the term. Boats will bring them into Hogwarts when they arrive. Next,
they will be sorted at the Sorting Ceremony, then proceed into the Common Rooms to claim a
bed space that they will occupy for the remainder of their school years.

Y2: Second years are brought up to Hogwarts by Thestrals. They can now try for their House
Quidditch teams, and are allowed to bring their own brooms within school grounds.

Y3: At the end of the second year, students will choose an addition of two of the following
courses to take during their third year; divinition, arithmancy, study of ancient runes, care of
magical creatures, or muggle studies. The third year is the first year that students are allowed to
go on weekend trips to Hogsmeade, with permission from a parent or guardian.

Y4: Fourth years will be preparing for their O.W.L.s, which takes place during their fifth year.

Y5: One male and one female fifth year from each House will be appointed Prefect by the Head
of House, or Headmistress. They will continue to be Prefects in their sixth and seventh years,
giving a total of 6 Prefects in each House at any given time. All fifth years must take the O.W.L.
exam, which determines which N.E.W.T. courses they can take in their sixth year. It is
extremely important in determining what jobs they can go into. Fifth years will also receive
career counselling from their Heads of House to discuss which N.E.W.T. level courses they
should take in order to qualify for their future career.

Y6: Sixth years will be taking their N.E.W.T level classes, with no restriction on how many they
are allowed to take. Whether, or not they can continue taking the class is restricted by their
O.W.L scores, and the requirement of the professors. Apparition lessons are also available for 12 Galleons.

Y7: Seventh years will be concluding their N.E.W.T level courses, and taking the N.E.W.T exam
at the end of the year. One male and one female seventh year Prefect will be appointed Head
Boy and Head Girl by the Headmistress.

How to Obtain

- Periodically, there will be roleplay events in which winners will be able to obtain premade
characters. This is the main method the shop will use for new characters, and it is all free,
provided you win the roleplay portion of the event.

- Auctions may also appear during roleplay events, and will be for either premade, or custom characters.

CHARACTER CONTEST!

Have some great character design ideas? Share them with others in this contest, and you can receive some wizard currency! You may use anything on the internet, tektek, other avatar creators, or draw your own designs. Only put up designs that you are willing to share and are fine with someone else receiving that character!

LOOKING FOR!

Keep in mind that most characters start out as an 11 year old boy or girl, so don't choose clothing that may be too grown up. I also ask that the designs not be overly complicated, as this is the first stage.
- Mismatched Muggle clothing, for wizards with no experience in the Muggle world
- Normal Muggle clothing, wizards that normally live in the Muggle world

THE PRIZE!

If I like your design, I may reward you a few sickles, or galleons, which can be useful for you to get ahead in the wizarding world for when you have a character. It will be needed to purchase books, supplies, and other fun things.

You may submit as many designs as you like, and the person who submits the most designs that I chose will receive a semi-custom character. You may briefly describe the character's personality, and choose a theme for their clothing, OR give me a design and I will base the character off the design, but it may not look exactly like what you chose.

HOW TO ENTER?

Just post the design in the thread, saying that you are entering it in the contest as mismatched or normal clothing! You may enter as many as you like!
If you have questions, just ask in the thread!
