Welcome to The Miscellaneous, my August edition charity! A place where I can give just for the heck of it since I am quite the random person (and also why named my charity the miscellaneous). I'm finicky, fickle, weird, technical, lazy, spontaneous, sneaky, evil-I mean-nice and I think I'm fairly insane I have a ton of projects this month, and a charity is one of them. I'm a 19 year old female university student. Feel free to call me Kay or Navi (or whatever other nickname you want).

Just read the rules and instructions and feel free to (actually, I would very, very much appreciate if) you stick around, mingle, frolic, and HAVE FUN!

This charity will run from August 1st to August 31st.

So yes it will only run for one month until I have to go back to school and thus be uber busy. After August 31st this charity will close its doors, but not for good. I'll probably be opening it back up for a period of time when I'm not drowning in schoolwork. However, as I said I'm a fickle person. I may just change my mind later about this, but in the meantime, that's how it's gonna be.

Thanks to everyone who supported this charity! I'm closing this a bit prematurely as it honestly has been a dead thread most of the time. I hope those of you who did stop by had at least a little bit of fun. It was nice meeting you all and thanks again!

Also, the avatar contest has been CANCELLED due to insufficient valid participants.
I am really, really sorry to everyone who participated, but there were only 9 valid participants (unfortunately not enough to even pick 10 from). I've sent 5k to all the participants who sent in valid entries. Once again I am very sorry for the inconvenience! I hope you at least enjoyed making the tekteks.

Don't be mean, don't insult anyone, no major flame-raising debates, just be nice. I'd like to keep a cool thread.

Be literate please
You can make up words, misspell purposefully (to an extent), but please no 1337 speak. Fair spelling and grammar is a must in order for me to understand you in the slightest.

No advertising unless given permission
Don't advertise please unless you're posting in the thread to become affiliates. Anything else such as frequent spamming of the same link is just annoying and discredits you and your thread in my humble opinion. However, despite this rule I am a fairly lenient person. Signatures and post formats with links are allowed as long as you're doing something other than showing off your link/s.

No begging
This rule is in practically every charity it seems. It doesn't help to beg. It just annoys people. So please don't beg or stalk people for anything.

Don't quote the first page
I know my posts are short due to the lack of graphics that I just didn't want to do, but nonetheless please don't quote the front page, it's just weird.

Please don't post more than three tree quotes. **rule added 01/08/11
Tree quotes (at least I believe) are quotes of quoted posts of quoted posts. Like a quote of a quote of a quote of a quote if that makes sense. Please don't quote, quote, quote more than three subsequent times. They get a bit long.

Follow any other rules in the subsequent posts
