Have fun!
Be nice.
Don't be a pest.
Each genie is worth 50k.
Do not beg or whine for a genie.
Read everything on the front page and in the guild.
Do not make quote towers, quote the front page or spam up the thread.
The shop reserves the right to refuse to do business with whomever we choose.
Do not start or instigate drama or bring it here. Drama with genies and OCs is fine.
All genies begin at the first stage. There are some exceptions (i.e, shop events, staff perks, etc).
Activity Guidelines
Roleplaying is not mandatory to keep your genie, but has its benefits.
Roleplaying in the thread or guild is welcomed and encouraged.
You may only own one genie unless you show yourself to be an active roleplayer.
Active threadgoers and regulars may be permitted to have more than one genie.
Check the registry periodically to see if you are qualified to own another genie.
Roleplay titles in the guild must follow this format: [Rp type] Title - genie x genie ( [PRP] Mango Splash - Rinnie x Michael )
If an owner is inactive for thirty one days straight the shop reserves the right to take away their genie and kill them off or rehome them.
Helpul Information
1] A genie can change it's lower body to have legs.
2] Genies cannot grant the following wishes: wish for more wishes and the resurrection of a deceased person.
3] In their final stage genies can choose whether they'd like to be seen by humans or not. They cannot hide from other genies or genie owners.
4] The lamp's top cannot be removed until the apparition stage.
5] Not every OC has to have obtained a genie from the lamp salesman. They could have inherited the lamp as an heirloom or even consented to make a contract with a stray, lingering soul to try to appease in favor of their wish being granted in the end. If it is not specified in an event how the genie is being obtained, then it's up to you to decide.

- Once upon a time there was a traveling priest who made a living putting lingering souls to rest. But, he found that some souls were so tied to the living world that they could not depart from it. Their desire to remain and to obtain their heart's desires were too great. Fearing that these souls would become demons overtime who hauted and terrorized the living he began to collect and put these souls into lamps, casting a binding spell on them. If anyone would learn the spell of release that held the soul inside and say it the soul would be released from within the lamp. Furthermore, the person would be granted one wish for anything that they desired, but first they must fulfill the three wishes of the soul inside to appease it. Else it would turn into a demon and devour them as its first victum.
It would have been nice to know this information before you bought the lamp. But of course, the salesman wasn't going to give you all the details. "Just give it a nice cleaning and wait for the releasing spell. After that you'll have your three wishes." He said with a charming smile. His own genie looked a bit uncertain, but never said a word. So you went home wondering if you ought to have bought the lamp in the first place. Was it really just a scam or something legit? Well, if worse comes to worse he promised you a full refund. Better clean up that lamp...
Desideration
- Disquieted
A soul that, for whatever reason, has made ties to the living world and is unable to move on. These souls are rather fresh so they are not as in danger of becoming demons quickly.
Demented
These souls were already quite advanced in their digression when put into lamps. Unlike a disquieted soul who might long to visit a certain place or watch the sunrise with someone the desires of these souls are rather morbid and evil. Such as bringing someone pain and suffering, revenge and often times someone's death.

Just a simple looking lamp. Its colors and patterns display what the soul will look like when it manifests.

Stage Two - Smoking Lamp
Now the soul inside is awake and also aware that someone is out there. A ghastly wisp of smoke will seep out of the lamp with a saying. But the words are so otherworldly that you can't possibly read it. Progressively you will be able to understand what the words say until you can read it fully. It is the releasing spell. Once repeated the soul will be free from the lamp. Only you can see the smoke that comes out of your lamp. It appears to be a normal object to anyone else.

Stage Three - Apparition
The soul has finally been released but has no solid shape. You can make out shining eyes but the rest looks like a hazy fog. During this stage the soul will tell you two wishes that it has; one first and then the other after you've fulfilled its first wish. These wishes are rather simple, but all the same very important to the soul. It has no need of food or water to sustain itself, so taking care of the soul is very easy. When it has need of sleep it will retreat back into the lamp. Other genie owners will be able to see it, but not normal people. The soul will also begin to slowly digress into a demon, so you must fulfill its wishes as quickly as possible. And remember, its first target will be you.

Stage Three - Demented Apparition
An evil aura emits from it, causing anyone nearby to feel fear, tremble, and sweat. Since its mind and heart has nearly completely deteriorated it often doesn't make sense when speaking, makes odd and sometimes shrill noises, and at times repeats a saying over and over again. Being so far advanced in its digression it will have the need to eat small souls to sustain itself. The lamp will also break once it's free, so it will not be able to be imprisoned again.

Stage Four - Manefistation
After two of its wishes are fulfilled the soul will manifest its appearance. Only you and other genie owners will be able to see it. The soul can even invite you into its lamp, where you'll find yourself in a world that is unique to your soul's identity.

Stage Four - Demented Manifestation
The soul now exhibits a twisted appearance. It's mind has completely deteriorated so it will now only act on primal instinct alone. Luckily it's conscience is still in tact which may prevent it from causing undo harm to you and others. It needs more souls, larger in size, to remain alive. It speaks with groans and shrills only now. You will not be able to understand it as we do words, but will understand the desire behind the sounds. Other lamp owners won't understand it at all. Humans can sometimes hear the sounds it makes and see its shadowy form moving in the shadows of the night. Its presence is enough to paralyze a person with fear. It doesn't have the same effect on disquieted souls.

Final Stage - Appeased
Finally your soul is at peace, resulting in yet another change to its manifestation. It now needs a portion of food and water to sustain itself. The lamp is still a perfect dwelling place for it. Normal people can now see your genie, but it will only answer to you. The soul is no longer tied to the living world, it's tied, connected, to you. In a way, it's become a part of you. Wherever you go it will be there. Whatever your goal in life is it'll help you to achieve it. Of course, you didn't go through all the trouble of appeasing this soul for nothing. You want your wish right? Well, you can have it. At a price. Once you say the spell beginning with, "I wish", your desire will immediately be granted and your genie will be destroyed forever. When you wish the genie will use its very own life as a means to make your wish come true. It won't be bitter or sorry, so if you'd really like to make your wish go ahead. You'll have your wish granted, but you'll also have to harbor the sadness that only the loss of a genie can bring. That melancholy emptiness that will forever remain so long as you live.
You won't know about the price that you have to pay except for by word of mouth from another owner or until the genie tells you before you make your wish. And the genie may never tell you. So great is its desire to see that you will be completely happy.
Final Stage - Tormented
The digression of the soul has ceased and all of its wishes fulfilled, but it still cannot find peace. It is completely void of mind, heart and conscience. Magical charms are placed upon it to keep its primal instincts at bay, resulting in a vegetable like personality. Like an appeased soul it will obey whatsoever you command it to do and by the "I wish" spell any desire you have will be made a reality, destroying the genie in the process. It no longer emits an evil aura or causes harm to others but still needs to eat living souls to sustain itself. It may slowly gain its humanity back. *For this to happen you must be active and roleplaying. Your journal will be updated to show your genie's progress.*

- After some major natural disasters California, United States, has taken on a new look, geographically speaking. Many of its cities were also destroyed and thousands of lives lost. The state has, over time, rebuilt itself with new cities and people have slowly flocked into the territory.
Lompoc (lom - poke)
The suburban city containing a couple hundred thousand, a thirty minute drive from Santa Maria and an hours drive to Santa Barbara, was completely ruined, along with its neighboring cities, by the disasters. Since being rebuilt it has become one of the largest cities. The valley it rests in has been greatly expanded and its houses and businesses reach well up into the surrounding hills. The city itself is separated into two sections: up town and down town.

- Well, now that your eyes are opened to the spiritual world I hope that you're not going to just sit around while people get slaughtered by demons. And while you're at it you might take the time to satisfy some lingering souls. Your genie can't grant you all the wishes that you'll ever have, but it can battle to make your city a safer place. Perhaps that was the salesman's intent from the start... Yeah, we don't think so either. Anyways, it looks like someone out there with a genie wrote a manual and sent it to you so you had better take a look at it. Funny how you got this and you don't even know who the sender is... Maybe it's the lamp salesman after all...
