Welcome to The Gourmet Pocky Shoppe's Halloween Event 2009 thread!
Yes, I have copied last years thread for this years event because I'm lazy and I really don't have the time or imagination to completely redo it. XD;;;
This year again there will be 3 halloween pocky boys available. 2 of which will be auctioned off, and the third the prize for a revamped candy contest. There is also a custom up for the advertising contest if you can get enough points.

The advertising contest will start as soon as I open this thread, the candy contest will begin on the 18th, and the auctions shall start on the 20th.

Pocky boy previews are currently shadows, but will be revealed once they are finished being colored.

::Auction Rules::

01. Read all the rules in the main shop thread so you understand them before entering.
02. By bidding you are agreeing to all ownership rules and guidelines and promise to care for the pocky boy for as long as you are its owner.
03. Use the format provided to bid, otherwise your bid will not count. Please post bids in the thread.
04. Do not bid what you do not have.
05. No withdrawing bids.
06. Certain items are allowed - collectible letters and items, certain cash shop items(please inquire if an item is acceptable. certain evolving items are more preferable to others), certain other expensive items may be accepted(again, please ask if it is acceptable). Items re accepted at 5% below lowest Market Prices.
07. You may only participate if you have no pocky boys or if all your current pocky boys have at least reached the Child stage, and you must be active in the shop(post in the shop thread more than once a week, this is subject to Mystaira's decision on whether you are active or not). However, you may not have more if you already have 2 pocky boys at the child stage(and not the bishie stage).
09. The winner have 48 hours to send the trade after they are announced. (An exception may be made if you are going to be away at that time if you inform us)
10. You may only bid on one pocky boy at a time, as you may only win 1.

The winner of this candy contest will win a Caramel Apple flavored pocky boy!

This candy contest will involve a few games, namely... Apple Bobbing, Storytelling, and Bingo!

Starts :: October 18th
Ends :: October 31st

:: Apple Bobbing ::
At various points during the event Ryuusei will bring out a barrel full of water and apples. There are 3 special apples in each barrel. First to get one of them gets a candy worth 3 points, and so on down to 1 point. Most of the apples are normal and don't do anything, and theres also a chance you'll fall into the barrel.

How you play is you roll 1d20. And you must RP bobbing for the apple and the reaction to whatever result you get. It doesn't have to be detailed and is just for fun and amusement. However, if you don't your try will not count and you will not be able to try again that barrel.
You may try as many times as you want(given the above), but may only win 1 special apple.

When the barrel of apples is out, it will also be said which numbers give which results.

:: Storytelling ::
Every 4 days there will be a storytelling contest that lasts 4 days each. When each starts a theme for the contest will be posted. There are two categories that you may enter. Scary Stories or Funny Stories. You may enter both categories, but may only enter 1 entry per category per contest. There will be 3 winners for each category, getting 3, 2 and 1 points each.
No minimum or maximum word limit, but best not to make it too long or it might be hard to read all of it... Exceptions being if it's a really intriguing or hilarious story that makes you wanna read more. |D

I will run a few bingo over the course of the event til halloween. The first person to get bingo gets a candy worth 3 points, the second 2 points, and the third 1 point. The person with the most points in candy at the end of the event wins the pocky boy.

When I start a bingo game, you will have 15 minutes to sign up for the game and provide a bingo board with random numbers of 1-100. I will roll 3-5 sets of numbers at a time with the dice roller, so as that it won't take all day just for one game. After I roll the numbers please post your updated bingo boards.

The advertising contest has 2 possible prizes(Though one may be impossible)! The person with the most points over 100 will win a basic custom. There are 4 ways to get points. The first is to get people to say you referred them, for every person who posts that you refer them you get 1 point. The second is to put the link banner into your sig, post in the thread everyday that you are advertising, for every day you get 2 points. The third is for a person to enter a candy contest game and say that you referred them, for each person to do so you get 3 points. And the last is for each person who bids on one of the auctions and states that you referred them you get 5 points.

You can find the banner in the links in post.

Days change at 12am PST.
