3-20-08 Mini Hiatus time guys! Well, Im sure you all figured it was kinda one for now, but I found it best if I posted it officially. During the Hiatus we plan to do some renovations, many to the front page, to the rules, and to everything else this thread needs to be fixed with.
expect to see:

-KI's adjusted punctuality (where I will actually BE THERE ON TIME *w* )
-/Finished/ new templates, this including the younglings and teens, Adults will recieve minor edits

I knew the chances of a shop slump when I first opened but Im not going to let WaS die out, even if it means going to a private community. Right now Im willing to give the place a chance because I feel Ive been a little disorganized thanks to other tasks I really do need to get completed (some for real money).
I hope you guys can understand, and no stress on RPing those WaS'es; cause one, I know it must be boring, and two, I dont see any growings happening soon (nobodys rped significantly enough)

I want to give this place some time to recoup from the slump and myself to as well, but there will be a WaS nomatter how slow or how quiet. ^-^

2-6-08- Lack of updates is bad, the thread is already starting to die down which essentially is a good and bad thing. Im sorry the ugly bandwidth problem hasnt been solved yet, Im going to have to find another way around this soon (I dont want to use someone else's server cause it would take me forever to change all the links and such on the thread)

In LIGHTER NEWS We will be having an auction this Saturday, February 9th lasting till March 9th! This will be a cosplay unique lineart growing auction with a pre-determined destiny for the pup (aka it wont be FERAL LOL)

1-20-08- I am sorry it has been unclear whether or not customs are open or not; they are NOT open until the shop itself is open. My (king Inversitle's) slots are only open because they will be when the shop opens tomorrow, thanks!

Also, the flatsale pups are up but the flatsale HAS NOT BEGUN! DO NOT POST THAT YOU ARE BUYING ONE UNTIL THE FLATSALE HAS ACTUALLY STARTED.

1-17-08- Our opening event will be started Monday, January 21st (not the 20th my bad xD)! The first flatsale will be started at roughly 10 AM Mountain Time (Noon EST) but the exact time is not set yet... just be on between noon and 3ish... incase im still asleep at 10, but probably not. xD There will be a raffle event for posibly more than one templated WaS, and an auction will come in about a week to follow. Please stick around, those of you who have been posting in the thread, and you may just get a special reward! *winkwink*

Also as a minor note, custom prices will be being looked at and negotiated. Customs will be open first thing on Monday, so be prepared!

1-13-08- A late update- content will be undergoing editing for the change of art style in the shop. Please pay attention to any price related things. Storywise, nothing is being changed. =]

12-21-07- Tomorrow, the 22nd, King Inversitle will be leaving for Missisiipi with minimal internet access and no photoshop. Bear with the shop till we can get opening events arranged.

12-19-07- Major Content update; content should be finished very soon wth the exception of accesories.

General Thread Rules
1. Obey the usual Gaia rules, not too hard.
2. Don't disrespect staff or other members. If you have some sort of drama take it to private messaging or you WILL be added to the blacklist for a lame mark of 'instigation'. You don't wanna be posted as an immature user right?
3. Do not steal anything from the shop, including the art and banners, owned WaS'es that are not yours, and just about anything else that belongs to us.
4. Pay attention to directions and do not post in this thread if you cannot follow the rules.
5. Please post in proper grammar, the internet is no different from writing for school. Minimal chatspeak please, thanks.
6. If you have anything important to ask please post it first before PMing the mule. Usually you will get an answer shortly.

RP Guidelines
1. Absolutely no godmodding. The Shepherd will not godmod either, lest the situation calls for it.
2. If your RP is unofficial, you do not have to worry about brackets or parenthesies.
3. If the RP is serious enough, please use brackets and/or parenthesies in order to distinguish your post from IC to OOC.
4. Killing is a possibility in this shop, the WaS'es are not immortal unless stated otherwise. However, you must be granted permission by the owner of said killed one to kill.
5. No breeding unless you have been granted a slot to do so; otherwise it will not count towards offspring.
6. Keeping it PG-13 is not required, RP at your own risk to Gaia moderators.
7. Please keep in mind your WaS'es abilities and physical attributes when posting. Also, remember your WaS'es speech limitations depending on the stage it is at.

FAQ/Q&A

Q- So... now... what WaSes are RP required to grow?
A- Flatsale, Auction, and Event WaSes are required to be RP'ed. Templated, custom, raffle, gift, and anything not pertaining to the Flatsale, Auction and Event rule are NOT RP required now.

Q- When exactly are customs open?
A- Customs are open as long as the shop is; If the shop goes on hiatus they are closed. The custom slots say "Open" only because that means they are "Untaken" but the shop status dictates if they are Open for requests.

Q- What is Cloverfield?
A- epic.

Q- Do you (any of the artists) take RL commissions?
A- As of right now that has not been negotiated and will probably not happen for a while for either Zaris or King Inversitle.

Q- What is the deal with the teen stages?
A- The teen stage is newly emitted, and is only available at the moment for unique lineart WaSes ONLY... and most likely will stay that way. In other words, there is no template for them.

The Shepherd does not go by any other name, nor does he dub these creatures any sort of name. Whether traveling alone or in a pack or herd, the Shepherd cares for each one of them the same. With tender hands, he treats every one of them gingerly and respectfully, and usually they return the favor.
It is not said where he came from, but legend speaks that he is the one who gave these creatures the gift of thought and speech.

WaS creatures tend to go through a typical three stage cycle, with the exception of ferals; these are immediately grown from the youngling stage.

The Younglings

Every creature is born with the ability to speak and commit to thought, though in the earlier stages of growth, dialogue is not completely clear. However, no matter what age, they can emit both barks and bleats. Younglings are in need of nurturing care and love, and if they are raised well, they will grow into healthy adults. It takes at least a week for a youngling to adapt to their surroundings, and if that adaptation is not made, mostly through form of RP, the growing process may linger up to a month before they can be able to grow. Just checking in on your youngling for a week or a suitable amount of time, will allow them to grow right on schedule!

Gender Differences: Males grow horns at an early age, and females do not recieve them. However, female's coats at this age are much denser than male's, making them much more soft and snuggly. Both have hooves on their back legs, which later fall off as their human-like feet develop.

The Adults

Once adults, these creatures tend to seek independence from the Shepherd and join with other packs and herds or become a loner all together. After they become content with a community they've joined, the likely-hood of intimacy is increased, and breeding comes into play. Adults can walk biped for a short amount of time but in multiple bursts. Generally they walk on their fours, due to their structure, and long, strong forearms. Their speech is perfectly clear now, and the ability to make rational decisions is available to them.

Gender Differences: Males retain their horns, and grow hair in various places. Females' coats become thinner, and wavyer, giving them a very slim and suiting coat unlike the more rugged male. Males grow sharp nails and females have much daintier hands than males, making them more attractive in the long run. It is very common for males to grow fur on their chin eventually leading to a beard. (Any of these physical attributes can be changed if the WaS is a custom)

The Ferals

There are, some pups, who reach adulthood with a more feral nature. These creatures tend to adapt and evolve into a more carnivorous or herbivorous mammal through growth, depending on the influence or habits they have obtained in their youth. Unfortunately, the Shepherd cannot provide liable protection to the ferals, and the ferals no longer have the ability to speak as the regulars do. Ferals function like any ordinary wolf or wethen and many still travel with a pack or herd of ferals and/or regulars granted they hold a tolerance for ferals.

Gender Differences: The distinguishing features of the pups before they grow dissappear altogether if the younglings become feral. The wolves, logically, do not have horns and grow a longer tail, and all the features of a wolf, with longer-than-normal ears. The wethen however, do keep their horns, or grow them if they are female. (Like the adult WaS'es, feral attributes can be changed at any time with customs, or special editions and such)

Any WaS, feral, young, or adult, can befriend a familiar. These companions range in size and shape and generally remain faithful to the one they befriend. A WaS can only obtain 1 familiar at a time, but any familiar can be replaced and sent to a mini-cert of its own for records, or to another WaS that is familiar-less. Familiars, like the regular WaS'es, have the ability to speak and interact sensibly.

Familiars can be collected pre-made from the store, and must be RP'ed into relationships with your WaS(es), and also require a 1k certing fee, but other than that they are virtually free. There will be events with special familiars and the pre-mades generally rotate throughout time. If you dont want a pre-made familiar, there is a set of custom orders you can recieve.

If you would like a custom familiar with your WaS, or just for yourself, then you are free to order one at any point in time. (If you are ordering one for your WaS you must rp their meeting of course)

The Rat- Sneaky but kind little creatures. The rat enjoys scampering around feet and claw, grabbing little trinkets wherever it goes and giving it to your WaS. Sometimes they might end up stealing a thing or two but.. its hard to resist when they crawl up to your neck and snuggle in your fur.

The Dog- A very loyal and trustworthy companion, built for long hours of play. The Shepherd himself has a connection with the Dog familairs stronger than any of the others, making them quite suitable for a WaS who needs a pal. Dogs' energy is quite unmatched, and after the day is done, they enjoy a nice cuddling before sleep.

The Horse- One of the most wise of companions, and best at keeping up with your WaS. Their tolerance is good for such beautiful animals, and if your WaS stumbles on some sort of problem, you can bet this equine will be there to help. Even though the horse may seem serious though, it enjoys racing a WaS every now and then, giving them both a good excercise.

The Bird- Sometimes picky, but never mean, the bird is a great companion for the WaS who enjoys a free-spirited friend, and is always up for playing games. These feathered friends can be taught to either get along with other WaS'es, or pull irritating tricks on them, then perch back on their friend as if they're innocent. No doubt though, the bird is an excellent guide for the loner WaS'es.

The Neko- While many felines can be vain and posh, the neko is definately not anything like that. Or.. at least the general neko. Most of these cat-like creatures seek a lot of attention, but not just petting and pampering, but love and play. The neko has a sensational ability to detect the emotions of your WaS without words, at least better than any other companion. However, the neko lacks a lot of the same energy as the other familairs, and often needs to take naps, but usually they chose to snooze on a WaS's back.

The Lizard- The lizard familiar is a powerful companion, in the sense that it let's nothing get in its way. Sometimes tempermental, and sometimes too proud of its scales, the lizard will attempt to recieve compliments from other WaS'es and their familairs, especially if they are other lizards. But don't let its competative nature fool you, the lizard can be tamed with patience, to even a point where it will accept others outside your WaS.

Flatsale WaS'es will cost 12k. Any WaS from a flastsale must be RPed with the Shepherd within at least a few days to secure growth. The RP will not always be formal and can be short depending on the way the RP goes. This is just an initiation process and allows you to at least get a taste for the shop and allows us to recognize how your WaS will act. The only way to get ferals remember, is to RP them in such a manner.

Flatsale Rules
1. Do not order untill the mule has instructed you to do so. Failure to abide by this rule will get you forbidden from purchasing a WaS in the flatsale.
2. When making your order please clarify which flatsale WaS you are wishing to buy and a backup if your post just happens to be seconds after someone else's (slight chance)
Example: I would like FS1, FS3 if FS1 is taken
3. Once youve made your post, send a trade with the name of your WaS as the title, and the gold to pay for it, and it will be certed immediately.
4. Do not fuss if your chosen flatsales have already been bought, there will be others in the future. If you harass anyone about your loss you will be blacklisted.
5. When you've gotten your certed WaS please standby for RP with the Shepherd. If there's a flatsale going on, he will be there to RP with purchased WaS'es.

Flatsale Choices

Auctions will work like every other auction, with an HB and SB, max increase etc. Usually Auctions are very exclusive WaS'es or customs by guest artists. There will not always be an autobuy so keep that in mind when entering auctions.

Breeding Time: ClOSED

When springtime comes around, and your WaS mates are getting settled, they are allowed to breed, with both the same or their own gender (for those of you who handle the same sex thing I can understand). BUT.... they must be truely devoted to one another in the RP, as well as your willingness to pay for a pup.. or two.

A templated WaS can produce up to 5 pups, and will only cost 10k

Breeding Rules
1. Pups can be given to anyone if you do not plan on keeping them. Please remind whomever recieves it if they are not aware, that they must rp for it to at least grow.
2. Incest will not be permited.

Custom Orders
Custom orders are non-RP required (including familiars bought with them) and include any stage available in the shop, even if its a recently discovered stage.



+ Custom TEMPLATED WaS
This order does not include lineart edits. (lineart removal is allowed)
ONE STAGE = 25k
GROWING = 50k

+ Edited Lineart TEMPLATED WaS
This order DOES include lineart edits.
ONE STAGE = 75k
GROWING = 100k

+ Cosplay TEMPLATED WaS
ONE STAGE = 100k

+ Completely Custom Unique WaS
This means that your WaS is just like the rest of the unique art WaSes, and is fully customizable, including mutations. Complex additions, this meaning any wings in general, clothing (highly discouraged; rp AND art wise), and change in animal parts, are subject to cost you more when ordering a true growing WaS. However, nomatter how complex, if you are only intending to order one stage, then you will not be charged extra for anything additional.
ONE STAGE = 350k (Regardless of complexity)
GROWING = 750k+ (Depends on complexity of request)



Prices are subject to change within the growth of the shop, so pay attention. They will only increase if demand becomes heavy, which it doubtful so there is no need to worry just yet.

Custom orders can only be made if slots are open, like usual in shops. Right now our colorsists will choose how many slots they will have open and what type of customs they will do.
