Welcome one and all to The Tattler! First of all let me start off saying that NO we are not hiring, there is currently no spots availible. Okay then, now that we have that covered, lets get down to business.

This is a newspaper. That's what we do, we write. We're not like the Gaian newspaper in the announcements, we're....social. We publish one newspaper monthly on the 15th, so you know when the monthly collectibles come out, so does the latest newspaper. We tell you about wedding & engagement announcements, shop advertisements, advice column, and all that good stuff. Read on to learn about how you can place an ad, subscribe to the newspaper, submit your poem, and everything else. Like most other newspapers, we have articles that we write; monthly we have sections like Music, Poet's Shop Review, and Movie Reviews.

Yes, we hate them too, but there's not that many so please just read them.

• Don't flame or stretch the page on this thread, just follow the TOS.
  
• Don't tell us you have no money, we have no sympathy for those who know beg for a newspaper.
  
• Be nice to us, cause if you're nasty, we can be nasty right back.
  
• Don't tell us what you THINK is wrong with our newspaper. If there's a mistake with an ad or something else that you placed, then PM me and I'll fix it.
  
• Newspapers come out on the fifteenth of every month, so don't beg for it to come out any earlier.

THE Prices & Subscribing

Here are the prices for everything, don't PM us telling us how high our prices are, because they're barely nothing. So...enjoy!

**Many people have been asking me this, so I'll just tell you the answer. The way you subscribe is by sending [ DRUMLiNE FANATiC ] a trade for 300g, and she'll add your name to the subscription list. Same thing with buying a single newspaper, but the trade would be for 25g.**

• A Newspaper (Just One): 25g
  
• SUBSCRIPTION: 300g (This price is yearly, you will receive a newspaper every month)
  
• To Place A Wedding or Engagement Announcement: 30g
  
• To Place A Shop Advertisements: 50g
  
• Admission Fee for Submitting A Poem to the "Poem of the Month" Section: 25g (Prize is 500g)

THE Older Newspapers

Unlike normal newspapers, these newspapers are from former months. And instead of costing 25g, as soon as the month that the newspaper was released is over, the month goes up here and the price is upped to 50g.

THE Placing An Ad

Placing an ad is simple, just follow the directions under whichever ad you want to place, then expect to see it in the next newspaper!!

Wedding & Engagements
To place an ad in the "Wedding & Engagements" section of the newspaper, follow these directions:

1. Send a PM to The Tattler Editor or post it here giving her your name, the name of the bride and groom, the date of your wedding, and anything else you want to appear in the ad.
2. Send the trade to The Tattler Editor with the correct amount of gold.
3. Wait for your ad to appear in the paper, you WILL NOT receive a free newspaper just because you placed an ad, you will have to buy one.
4. If there are any mistakes in the ad, PM The Tattler Editor and she will fix it.

Shop Advertisements
To place an ad in the "Shop Advertisements" section of the newspaper, follow these directions:

1. Send a PM to The Tattler Editor or post in this thread with your name, the name of your shop, and the code for the banner that will be appearing in the newspaper.
2. Send a trade to The Tattler Editor with the correct amount of money.
3. Expect your ad to appear in the next newspaper. If their are any problems, PM The Tattler Editor and she will fix it for you.

THE Poem of the Month

"Poem of the Month" is a contest held every month within "The Tattler". We give all of you poets out there a chance to win gold or other prizes with your amazing poetry. All you have to do is send in one of your best poems every month with an entry fee of 30g. That's not that much if you think about it, you can gain that much by bumping a few times on this thread (which would be a great help). Poems are judged by poet_of_broken_hearts and myself, and we are both poets. But don't worry, we're not going to enter. You're eligible to enter EVERY month as long as you pay the entry fee every time. BUT, if you win, you must wait a month before you may enter again. Here are the rules for the monthly contest:

• Poems must have a limit of 20 lines.
  
• Poems must be clean, not too much violence or romance, make them PG-14 at the MOST.
  
• Poems must be original, that means no taking a few lines from a song by your favorite artist, putting your name on it, and expecting to win.
  
• You may NOT enter a poem more than once if you have already won with that poem.
  
• Have fun writing these poems!
  
• If you win the contest, you must wait a month before entering again.
  
• The winning poem will appear in the current month's newspaper.

I think that's about it, so start sending those poems in!!

THE Advice Column

Our advice column for "The Tattler" is called "Ask Penny...". The questions you send us are answered by one of my most trusted friends that has never failed on giving me advice. So I hope you'll trust that person and send in questions. When you send your questions, send them to The Tattler Editor. The questions are answered in the newspaper anonymously, unless you give us a fake name as to which we can call you such as "The Girl With A Problem", or "Mr. Dateless". Just something that we can call you so when you question appears in the newspaper you'll know we're talking to you. My friend and I are the only people that see you're name with the question, so you can count on staying anonymous. Here's how this whole thing works out, we receive all of the questions that are sent to us, and we pick one or two and answer them in the paper. Others are saved for months in which no one sends anything. Please send us your questions, without them we'll just have to make one up, and knowing us, it'll probably be really cheesy.
