I came to this site looking to roleplay. I'm stuck out in the middle of nowhere and there are no suitable geeks within a hundred miles to game with me. There was a time in my life, oh so long ago, when I had friends nearby who would play roleplaying games with me every weekend and we would talk about where the game was going through the course of the following week. Those days are gone now. I've had to seek the correspondence of geeks from far away locales over the info-web to game and discuss gaming with. That is what has brought me to Gaia.When I'm not roleplaying with the tiny circle of people who are willing to put up with my incessant and extremely lengthy posts, I attempt to perfect the craft of writing. This has been a long and arduous journey for me, which I know stretches away before me to unimaginable distances and to unthinkable depths of obsession. When writing actual literature is too frustrating for me, I design my own roleplaying settings which I hope will someday be in print for all of you to play (thereby making me extremely rich and you negligably more poor). I also spend a great deal of time engaged in heated and passionate debate over theology, philosophy, ideaologies, politics, implications of new technologies, the origins of the human species, the mysteries of the planet earth, the nature of the perfect society, paranormal phenomena, and occulture ranging from the most straightforward western texts to the most incomprehensible chaos theory psycho-babble.
In every game that I run, I strive to create a lurid environment that is both atmospheric and immersing as well as to plumb the depths of every character that enters that setting. My intention is to press the limits of roleplaying, introducing real character motivations, plausible and detailed settings, true literary elements, actual emotion, and an intricate and well balanced storyline. I find these elements to be all too rare in the world of roleplaying and am extremely interested in playing in any games which include them as well as running them.
All that seriousness aside, I also have a sweet tooth for intense violence, primal fear, ominous and surreal horror, and absurdly offensive jokes and other material. If you read very many of my posts, this will become apparent to you. Anyone who has actually read this far must really like me or have been up so long that once they started reading it they just sort of kept going on autopilot until they read this and stopped.
