Teehee, she seems pretty cool, if a little...scary. I guess it just goes to show that you have really loyal friends...even if you are a self-proclaimed a*****e. Since you were cosplaying as a character from Death Note, I assume that you really like it. Most of my friends do, too...they always fight over which of them is L's #1 fan. You should see their fanart...it's pretty scary. Lots of crossdressing...apparently, L would make a very cute girl.
Hm. Personally, I've never thought of myself as being an a*****e, just someone who greatly enjoys attempting to tear others down in the AvA. Really, it's quite a rush...when I commented on your avie, I was already half-high from the hate. ^_^ Yours was just so ripe for the attacking...a cosplay, and an inaccurate one at that. Even if you did mean to make it that way, I remember thinking at the time that you had typed that to excuse yourself to others. I do apologize for my misconception...
I can fully understand your amusement. Others have told me that when I'm threatened, annoyed, etc. I tend to fly into a rage and start screaming utter nonsense. Teehee...I think it's great that you have friends who will support you in baiting people for fun. I wonder if mine would get into it...
There's really no good way to respond to you, or to the person who commented shortly before you (I assume that you are friends or relations of some manner), so, as I suppose is expected of me, I shall apologize. I spoke quickly and without taking stock of the full situation. I had no idea who you were, or why you were choosing to insult me. Am I to be expected to remember ever single person whom I comment on in the Avatar Arena? When I saw your comment, I did not see a person who was annoyed with me for something I had done, I saw a random stranger choosing to attack me based upon the value of my avatar. And thus, I responded in like form.
Khalaraiun, should you read this, how is it any more appropriate for him/her to insult me on my profile than it would be for me to respond to his/her insult on his/her own profile? As for my comment being 'snotty' or 'witless', perhaps I simply did not explain my reasons well enough. I feel that the Avatar Arena is intended for original avatars, and cosplays, by definition, are not original. Thus, I give all cosplays a 1, as they did not require the creator to put in much, if any, thought as for color matching, layering, etc. This cosplay in particular was not even accurate, which is generally the point of cosplays in the first place, is it not?
Zigmovezig, it seems that you and I had the same fault in this matter, even if I was apparently the agent provocateur. Neither of us explained to the other the reasons for our comments, leading to a fair bit of misunderstanding. I'll take the blame for my own actions...will you?
I thank you for your comment. Also, I impart my sincerest condolences...you must have some dreadful illness or injury. I can come to no other conclusion as to why you would choose to lash out at my avatar, which I have not submitted for any manner of critiquing. Should I have been entered in the Avatar Arena, you would have been absolutely free to judge me as you wished. Ah, perhaps I am coming to a realization here...tell me, were you ever entered there? And, assuming that you were, did I ever give you a rather harsh comment? I really can't remember...but odds are, if I gave you a rather low review, it was because the avatar, which you had submitted for critiquing, deserved the review it got.
As to my avatar...did it ever cross your mind that this was an interim avatar of sorts, one which I was using only until I managed to secure the necessary funds for the avatar I truly wanted and intended to use? Even if my current avatar was in earnest....pardon my language for a moment...who the hell gave you the right to criticize it? I did not submit it into the Avatar Arena, where such comments might be somewhat more acceptable. Even if it were in the arena, your comments were more hate-mongering than critical. Should you have had a suggestion of some manner, such as that the Biancamella made my avatar's legs look too thick and that I should replace it with something else that still holds the white/gold combination, such as white stockings and a gold anklet, then your comment would have a genuine point.
The lesson to be learned here? If you're going to enter the Avatar Arena, be prepared to be criticized, not just loved to death by newbies who are impressed easily by avatars worth a lot of gold. I hope you recover from your aforementioned malady...I believe it is known as butthurt?...soon.
