I think the usual forum spam in the chatterbox, commenting on people's profile (even random people) and voting works pretty well. Plus there's usually nice people around to donate. I would donate but currently I'm barely on to make any decent amount gold. I will be on soon in like a week or two but otherwise keep constant activity. Gaia has many topics I'm sure you can find one you like and then it won't seem like such work to find stuff to post about.
