So anyway, I believe that the game could be better celebrated but with that celebration comes the recognition of those who would turn it into a Naruto type fanbase. There's always a turning point somewhere. Also, what things do you like that are in danger of becoming Naruto or Bleach like? Would you really give something up or be reluctant to be a fan of something because it became that popular? Personally, and I'm sure you've noticed the AMV's but, I like Bleach. It's not a bad anime and it definitely doesn't deserve the reputation as such. I find it puzzling as to why it has to be bad because of its fanbase and existence on TV - or because it simply didn't click with the person who watched it. It's not bad if you don't like it - it's just not your thing. The annoying fanbase is usually children who are obsessive by nature with what they like and have no other way to watch anime other than the TV. I remember I was the same way with Dragonball Z in late Elementary school and Middle school. It's just something neat to watch and imitate for kids - but that shouldn't speak for the anime itself. I understand that you have a distaste for TV anime and other "Hyped" things - it just doesn't make sense to me as to why . I mean no disrespect to your opinion and, if you'd like, let me know what you think.

Well, popularity doesn't make the game, so it doesn't matter how popular it is. It's not like I would like the game any more or less if it became like Naruto or Bleach You should like what you like and not worry about the fanbase around it, you know?

Well, it's popularity makes sense considering that it really only attracts a small group of people: 1. Those who like historically based games, 2. Those who like strategy, and 3. Those who like turn-based strategy. That's a small portion of the market XD.

I don't play it that much XD - the topic came out just as I picked it back up. Then the new game came out and etc. Really good timing is all, and I do enjoy discussing it XD.

I only know some basic phrases now, just a few common ones you here over and over again from watching to much subbed anime and Jdramas XD Anyways thanks for the help! Hearing about the classes, as well as how far you’ve come in the classes, makes me feel like my dream job is actually attainable =3! I'm excited now yay! Just hope the university I end up attending teaches just as well lol. And you're super lucky that you’re studying two things in college that you love, because despite which you do better in, you obviously have the love of the subjects to have made either work out as a career for you. Plus, even though Japanese isn’t your major, it could still defiantly come in handy if you ever want to go to Japan XD

I just went on collegeboard.com, and apparently the only college in state that offers a major in Japanese is the University of Maryland. A lot of colleges around here offer classes, just no degrees in it lol.



Anyways thanks for letting me know all that =3! The idea of changing majors has always made me super nervous, especially with something I have no experience in. I'm guessing before the classes you didn't really know much Japanese? A friend of mine, Brittney, I think you you know her, if I remember middle school correctly XD Anyways, she's been studying Japanese since like 5th grade O_O! She's going to be trying to get a major in Japanese as well, but it makes so much sense for her because she's already experienced and can fly through the classes. That's why I was wondering if someone who is just starting out can get a good grasp on the language, like you obviously have lol.



At first I was wondering if I should even ask my question once I realized the poster was you XD, because I was like gosh well this is weird, considering I had just talked to you haha. And I just started using gaia again last month after not being on for over a year, and it's so different now. There defiantly wasn't gaia cash, towns and cars when I first started XD

I was on a Japaneses language thread that I posted on- and I read your post about taking Japanese (which is what I want to do D so I was going to leave that person a comment asking about it- and it happened to be you- wtf XD That was random enough.



Anyways- if it's cool I wanted to ask something about the post you made. Are you trying to major in being a translator or is Japanese something you are just taking up out of interest? I posted a thread before and some people make becoming a translator sound impossible, and others very plausible =X I haven't taken any Japanese courses because one HCC doesn't offer any, and two I was just picking majors I wasn't passionate about. That's why I don't know if I'm in over my head with this idea -_-;
