Morning love. Hope that all is going well. Sorry for being away for a while, I know that you have been busy, just as I have. Unfortunately, I don't have internet access yet, I am just jacking the computer from a friend of mine, just so I can get this through. I will hopefully be on more often towards the end of the month, when I move once more... that will be the 4th time this year, believe it or not. Just wanted to touch base. anytime! I talked to ONJ (we know each other in th really real world) and she said she would be glad to help out because this is the only and first guild she's ever joined and wants to make the most of it!
ok... if you need any help at all let me know... as of the RP we created... you can just go ahead and delete it... it really isnt something needed to be saved....
well, I guess you just need to figure out what you want to do with it, and unless its just a bunch of Role-Plays put in one guild you need to make sure you have all your guide lines clear cut for everyone. (a whole country type Example: Reeth: Demons & Deities *sp (a RPGuild))
Parenting is hard!! My kids are really good on the whole ... but they know the difference between right and wrong! I think that's an essential thing to teach your kids! I actually like my kids, loving them is of course somethng different! (But I do love them!!) But there are times, when I think I have to stop being a mum and maybe listen as more of a friend would!! Finding the balance is hard - but workable! My kids know my ground rules, and accept that they are there for a reason!! They like the fact I like my nintendo ... mmo's .... Gaia ... etc. And that's our common ground.
and whateverelse, then you 'beat them up' till they arnt or make sure you have more 'creative' members who make sure its not boring same old same old cage bound... but S&M are hard because they are either emo/get to far into the xxx catigory/mushy romantic/ or people beating people up... you just really have to state what you want and when YOU Rp push it where you want it to go... but people who only post one line and with * arent going to help you acheve that... I really dont want to be gone... Its the only active guild that i have found so far and Threads in Barton town are hard to join into when there 2 thousand pages long....
i understand as a previous guild owner myself. I was just exspecting it to be something it to be diffrent than what it acttually is...but we all interpret things diffrently! I'll take my leave and when you re-establish the guild how you want it i'll look it over and when i fully understand i will return... and as i have been i will return as an extreamly active member to your guild....
Totally agree. You just have to read some of the forums ... and as a parent it frightens me! On a daily basis, you read things about unprotected sex, std's, violence, drugs, self harming, etc. etc.! A while ago, a 14 yo posted in the LD, asking if she should go meet a 44 yo man she had met online. I was scared. I was horrified. I pm'd her and told her she needed to talk to her parents about it. Her mum actually pm'd me back from her account. I see kids making threads about the ugliest things - incest - rape - all topics and I find it so difficult to comprehend, times are changing and I don't think it's for the better!
I totally agree, and I think sites like that should be closed!! However, the business woman in me takes over sometimes .... While what they say is deflamatory, it is also advertising!! And good advertising it is too!! Someone stumbling across that site - who has never heard of Gaia - might then come to look at our little world and decide to stay!!
I honestly think it's the ying/yang thing, I did agree with some things they said on that site. There are predators everywhere - even on Gaia! I find it difficult sometimes, I'm a 40 year old mother of 3!! I am always aware that sometimes I get messages from kids, and I respond in a mnner which I think is appropriate, but my daughter has had a scary older guy on here, coming on to her!!
Not all bad publicity is negative ... it get's people talking!!
