I'm 17, but I started when I was 11. Made League champ after a month. I decided to take on the rest of the world, so I left Kanto and let Lance, of the Elite Four back home, take my place as champion until I came back. What about you?

Trust me; by the time you get there, you'll be a powerful trainer on your own, and more than enough for a League challenge. Just believe in yourself! You'll get there!

Same way others do it. Beat gyms, get badges, go to the League HQ and take down the Elite Four, then fight the previous champion. It's not all that special, really... just shows you're a good trainer.
