It's been ages since I've seen Clerks. I do remember it being funny, though. Haven't seen Seven Samurai.

It was like that for me when I saw Ace Ventura again at 13 and I understood all of the jokes. I watched it all the time as a kid and it was funny, but it got funnier as I got older. Same thing with Wayne's World. Once I was old enough to understand the jokes, it became funnier. Still one of the best movies ever!
