I'm not surprised Torchwood is out in Britain already. For all I know, it could have arrived in the States as well. I wouldn't be aware of it unless someone made a point of telling me. Either way, I do hope the second season lives up to expectations. It'll be a long while before I even think about watching Torchwood, by then they should have the kinks worked out.

I'll keep the story arc you spoke of in mind. Sadly for my chances of seeing classic Dr. Who, my friends who have purchased seasons of the show are buying and watching the newer seasons. Thus I'll likely miss most of the classic episodes and begin with the modern show. I've been told there are some good episodes linked with British history that I will enjoy. Starting with the episode where we first hear of the idea for Torchwood, I believe. They showed me that episode some time ago as a stand alone viewing of Dr. Who. I've heard Torchwood will be the title for a spin off series. Do you know anything about that?

Finally, someone picked up on the quote! User Image Now, to be honest, I haven't actually seen the Dr. Who episode it is from. I saw the lines on another's signature in the Gaian British Guild and both asked where they were from and requested use of them. I do desire to see more of Dr. Who than the two episodes I have seen, but I am striving to finish the 200 episodes of Star Gate 1 first.
