It shouldn't be a problem going with a VG30DETT; besides, it's a lot more difficult to turbo an N/A motor. But, when I think about it, while the VG will give you more power from the get go, if you really plan to put money into the motor, do an SR20DET. It's easier to access, being an I4 rather than a V6. It's turbocharged, so it's easy to make power by increasing boost. The aftermarket parts for it are also cheaper than those for a VG motor.
