Devil’s Wrath

They say that the Devil’s Wrath

When unleashed it will burn a path

With a scarlet flaming fury

He drunk the blood of those he killed

He struck fear into the eyes of many

He would say with a maniacal laugh

His breath smelled that of blood

It dripped from his lip’s as he spoke

“Today is the day that all shall die.”

His voice was the voice of death

His eyes were scarlet red

His leathery skin covered in the blood of those that he killed

He burned those he killed

They roast over a still flame

He just killed and killed like it was a game

He would say to those who tried to flee

“Try as u might you can’t run away from me”

But then he heard a babies cry

Then the devil vanished

Then he said with a sigh

“Next time every one shall die.”

Then they heard a piercing cry

The cry of a newborn baby

Had defeated the relentless wrath

Of a furious devil

Then the baby fell into a soundless sleep

And the world slipped into an eerie silence

None uttered a single peep

The world said a silent prayer

That had been filled with rich relief

Then the world transform into its normal state

As one person found out

That it was

All a

Dream.
