What is in the guild?
Need to know more about the guild that the front page offers? Hopefully some of that can be provided for you here. This is here to help you understand mostly everything.

First off, Welcome!

Before we get started I'd like to state that this account is basically inactive. The Guild Captain is Kraeven. So if you have any questions about the guild, joining, or what it is that we do that this didn't provide enough detail with, feel free to ask.
Since you're here, that means you are, or should be, interested in either:

1. Helping your fellow Gaian
2. Learning about real modern day "ninjutsu"
3. Learning about Samurai arts, but not so much as the previous.
4. Sharing secrets or information to better the guild and its network.

Upon entry you should:
Visit our Introduction thread and post a little something about yourself.
Afterwards head over to our Members & Profiles section. Choose a clan, element related, to join and post a detailed profile according to the guideline.

Basic Info

+ We are a guild for those who are or wish to become a ninja/shinobi/kunoichi. Yes, we do mean a real life ninja.
+ You will or could learn about all ninja-related things.
+ However, we are NOT a Naruto fanguild.
+ We DO have a subforum for general off topic chit chat and Naruto fans.
+ We follow the Naruto ranking system since it is easier than explaining the Kyu/Dan system for those that may be unfamiliar with it.
+ Members can go up in rank by: taking ranking tests, completing missions, posting in the guild a certain number of times and following up in our Role Play (still in the construction process).
+ We help Gaia by taking on mission requests.
We're divided into clans for organizational purposes and future fun activities.

To be a ninja...

+ Check out the Academy thread for lots of ninja info.
+ Look for the other threads with tidbits of history and other facts.
+ Be friendly, helpful, and respectful to others.
+ Most importantly; learn the hidden and reformed, true way of the modern day ninja.

How We Help Gaia

+ Missions are requested in our various threads throughout Gaia's forums.
+ Us ninja complete the missions to help out fellow Gaians.
+ Any questions on missions, post in the Missions subforum. Also you can and are able to personally request anyone of us yourself, we will help others free of charge.

What are we really doing in the guild?

+ As of now since we only have a small comunity, we chat. Very little at the moment.
+ We encourage participation. If you see the need to do so, please do. Especially once or twice in our Training Mission game.
+ There's an RP forum but nothing's been going on in there too. We actually would like a little assistance in the completion of it's set-up if you can think of anything that might help.
+ Try playing The Ninja Board Game!

Will we do anything in the guild?

+ Eventually. We are planning some stuff to do other than missions.

Frequently Asked Questions

+ Since we have had many stupid ones and very few decent ones, I've forgotten the lot of them. Feel free to ask anything that is unclear and we'll try yo clear it up.

Q: Are you a Naruto Guild?
A: No. Plain and simple. We also reject requests with Naruto references. Also we would like to keep all Naruto affiliated names to a minimum. If you are looknig for a Naruto fanguild or Naruto friendly guild, this guild is not for you.

Q: Why do you reject Naruto references?
A: Because, believe it or not, Naruto is part of the ever growing pop culture that has been adding more and more garbage onto the rapidly inflating Ninja superstition and bad (if not horrible) reputation at hand. The Bad reputation is actually why Ninjutsu was renamed and the term ninja is no longer used.

Q: What about other fictional Ninja information?
A: We highly discourage it and do not advise it what so ever. Although due to the unbelievable size of it, it tends to get really hard to avoid.

Q: What is Ninpo (Ninjutsu)?
A: Ninpo is an old and complete martial art which dates back some 2000 years. It was develpoed for the necessity to protect ones life, family and country.

Q: What is the Bujinkan?
A: The Bujinkan (Divine Warrior Training Hall) is an international Martial Arts organization headed by Grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi with its headquarters in Chiba-ken, Japan.

Q: Is age or physical fitness a problem when studying?
A: Not really, people join martial arts in different stages of their lives and as such in most cases are tought based on their level of understanding.

Q: Is sipritual training part required?
A: The very essence of Ninpo is the spirit of the warrior; any ninpo student must learn to polish and refine their spirit by means of training and endurance.

Q: Is historical perspective important?
A: Ninpo is a living art and like any living art is grows and changes with time and space. It is important to study the different influences throughout history to understand why things are the way they are.

Q: What kind of aspects are included in the physical training?
A: The foundation is based on Taijutsu or "Body arts", including a broad range physical skill: evation, rolls and breakfalls, strikes, kicks, locks, throws, chokes, pressure points, bone structure attacks, pressure points, etc. The weapons are the natural extension of such skills.

Q: Does the training include Kata or forms, as in other arts?
A: It seems that modern martial arts consider Kata to be the art. Ninpo Kata is the foundation on which the body learns how to adapt to different situations in life. It is not limited to form which is the basic concept of Kata, rather extended to the dimension of Hen (change). Life changes every moment so do we as human beings, through the Kata we understand how to change.

Q: What really distinguishes Ninpo from other martial arts?
A: Every martial art has strong ponits to offer, however very few offer a comprehensive tradition. Unlike other martial arts Ninpo covers an extensive variety of self defence skills geared toward the ability to become adapt to limitless situations. Further, many arts today has abandoned spiritual growth which is the very core foundation of the human being.

Q: How long does it take to learn these arts?
A: Ninpo provides unlimited source for knowledge and growth. So in essence as long as you keep going you will improve.
