Background: Seifer grew up in Blade Castle, being trained by his father in sword play, but always taking his own methods, using long daggers instead of traditional swords. He was heir in line for the throne until his brother Angelus was born. Jealousy raged through him, at the age of ten, attempted to assassinate his mother and father in disguise, but got blasted by fire magic after stabbing his father. The magic came from the baby being held in his mothers arms. The fire scorched off thew masked, and he was revealed, as the guards surrounded him, he beat a hasty retreat and managed to escape, and escaped from the castle. He remained hidden within society till he was sixteen, when in an attempt to picking a shopkeep, he was noticed by a kid who was starting to make a run for the authorities nearby, he chased down the kid, stabbed him with a dagger in the chest, and sliced down to navel. As the kid lay there on the ground after just basicly being gutted, it drew the attention of a crowd as he managed to beat feet and escape. He ended up stowing away on a ship heading for Reknor, on the main continent just as the word went out he was wanted for murder, being spotted by several witness's. At age seventeen, he was living with a girl who he had trusted for over a year, and they were having a relationship, until, she ended up betraying his trust by informing the authorities of the government to over the heirarchy. She was threatened by the government with the loss of her family, that's the only reason she did it. As the authorities were in the process of breaking down the door, she apologized, and as the embrased each other, he pulled a dagger from behind, and stabbed her in the back, killing her. The Authorities then captured him, and hauled him off to an experimentation facility, the same facility he planned on blowing up. When he came to, he couldn't see anything but blue, his vision was screwed up, through some twisted experimentations, he now could only see cold sources. In his thrashing about, he discovered that his right arm was hacked off at the elbow, and replaced with a metal arm. The scientist who did so approached him, and with in a state of luck, he grabbed a scalpal and removed the scientists eyes from their socket, leaving him blinded as well, but had to escape as the guards were heard starting to come down the hallway. Shortly afterwards, he managed to find a way of turning his vision to color blind, with the help of shades, he prefered light blue coloring, to make his eyes look back to their old normal shade of blue, as they were now a purplish-pink.

About a year later, he was in Reknor, leaving "Old City" as it was called. He stumbled upon a slave trade market, where there was a young girl, about ten years old, with teal colored hair, and eyes, being the youngest person there. For some reason, this cold hearted b*****d had some shred of sympathy, and bought her, only to release her, after they got a distance away from the slave market, he told her she was free to go, but she kept following. He didn't know why, but he let her stick with him instead of just leaving her to her own demise, he ended up teaching her the common language, finding out she was from another planet, and spoke a completely different language, but similar alphabet. They ended up becoming partners in "crime" once he found out she could use magic, and mostly illusions at that. They made their living from stealing from the rich to give to themselves. At age twenty-four he was hired by a government agency, he used false identicfication to get the job, to deal with a new threat on the rise, mechanical human copies. They looked like humans but prefered to kill. He worked his way through the ranks quickly, he also hid is own problems, being his metal arm, whihc they would've made him an enemy. After six years, he and his partner were chasing down one of these cyborgs, and after catching up to it, it was surrendering, when his partner shot it in the head. He looked at the corpss, and was rather infuriated when all the information they had been given from the higher ups, led to them killing a human. His partner, who just shrugged it off, was killed with his own gun, after being punched in the face, and thrown to the floor, in Seifer's final report, he wrote that his partner couldn't deal with the grief of killing a human being, and took his own life. After some research before he left, the cyborg threat was over just several months before this incident, but the government figured they could use this as a form of control on the over growing of the homeless populace. When Seifer left the building on his last day, the news said a strange explosion was caused when a main suppport line for the magical containment units was severed. Seifer ended up doing mercenary work with Ivy until he was thirty-four, when he was hired to help a young woman investigate the disappearence of her father at some strange ruins. The ruins ended up being infested with monsters. After the head monster was killed, the ruins started to collapse, and the only way out was a portal. Seifer and Ivy along with the young woman ended up finding their way to the planet called "Mystara" through that portal. The young woman was killed shortly upon their arrival by a group of four orcs. Seifer, seeing how he was payed said she was on her own, and the investigation was over barring circumstances beyond their control, left her to fend for herself, Ivy thought that was wrong, but she wasn't going to say anything, since she is strong with illusions, but weak physically.

A short time later, the two of them ended up working in a mercencary group with his two brothers, and his neice. It was after these events when he was on his own, Ivy had grown some independance while in that group, and he stumbled upon a portal while being chased by a group of six orcs, after running through the portal, he ended up here, and the portal closed right behind him.
