Have you ever gotten so bored of the books you've read that you decide, to hell with it-- I'm gonna write my own damn characters.
That would be me, every couple of months, in a nutshell. I've written lots of stories with all sorts of original characters. Sometimes I write in the Bleach universe, sometimes Harry Potter, sometimes more in keeping with Arthurian legends. And, okay, fine, once I wrote a Twilight story. It kicked a**.
Anyway, as long as you and I share some interests-- maybe you love Harry Potter or adore Mass Effect or KOTOR or Portal. Could be Patrick Rothfuss's collected works or maybe you like swimming or writing? Or Star Wars or Bleach? Anyway, anywhere there's common ground, I'm sure we'll be friends.
