“My name is Fia Caprice. I am sorry for what happened and I give you my deepest regret. I would like to help your mafia,” I nonchalantly stated with a welcoming grin. Hopefully, I would be able to help this family before it is too late.

Murasaki smiled back at me in acceptance of my assistance. I began to slowly loosen my muscles as we walked down a ceramic walkway. The warm breeze that flew by cloaked the dangers around us, until Blue let out a deep growl. A barn owl had been perched upon the old tree near us. Blue had never been fond of other creatures around me. Every time I showed affection toward something other than him, he’d killed it out of jealousy.

“Miss Fia this is Hibari he gathers information that regards to the main Cavanello base,” Murasaki stated as Hibari softly hooted on her shoulder. I was slowly learning more tricks about mafias that I had been ignorant about before. This family had a decent amount of information to offer.

Our walk continued until we reached a wondrous rose garden. Murasaki explained about her emotions toward the loss of the useless mafia member. Not knowing how to exactly act toward this information, I acted with sympathy to disguise my true emotions. This girl was quite intelligent. Now, I could see why she could survive through the dangers struggles of these types of societies. The best way to stay alive in a mafia was to have absolutely no feelings toward anyone. Grief is the enemy. There's no time for grief. There's no room for grief. Grief turns into acceptance. Forgiveness. Grief forgives what can never be forgiven. Never.

When Murasaki stated that the mafia was made up of monsters, I just had to smile. Each human being is created with an uncontrollable beast inside of themselves. Some choose to hide that beast until it grows and breaks lose causing a mental breakdown. Being a murder frees the beast inside until it is satisfied. I believe that we aren’t monsters… I believe we are the sane members of society… The ones who attempt to restore order and peace…

A bullet quickly flew passed my head and into a thin cherry blossom tree. Murasaki snapped me out of my thoughts by pulling me down into a safe zone. Guns relentlessly fired bullets toward us as Murasaki ran out to protect me. May I ask, when did I need protection? First Matteo, Kane, and now Murasaki. When did I become a worthless weakling?!

Murasaki began running toward the shooters and I instantly followed behind. A group of men seemed intent on her destruction. A man threatened me with a gun in an attempt to persuade Murasaki into coming quietly away with him. I tightly shut my lips so a laugh would not escape. This man was truly a fool if he thought I was an easy kill. I closed my eyes for a brief second to picture this man being set aflame. I heard a thunderous crack sound from the gun next to me. But when I opened my eyes, I had noticed Murasaki had taken a bullet for me. I winced as she pulled the bullet out from her newly received wound. Three more shots were fired at her as she began to spit bright crimson blood.

Murasaki swung her tonfa at a line of soldiers, killing every single one in a tactical move. However, she was a bit slow because the leader of the SIN group had her pinned to a tree in the matter of seconds. The man held a knife toward her throat and I instinctively threw one of my daggers into his back. No one other than Matteo would kill this girl in front of my eyes. Matteo was the only one to with permission from Fate to take her life.

The man glared back toward my direction and limped back toward his troops. As he was leaving the premises, the man smiled back toward Murasaki stating that his name was Alphonse Constantine. Blue tenderly started to lick a small gash I had received when Murasaki apologetically bowed at me. “I’m sorry your injury was my fault,” she whispered. I was a bit taken back as I saw all the wounds she had received in the quarrel that h

Murasaki’s POV

“My name is Fia Caprice. I am sorry for what happened and I give you my deepest regret. I would like to help your mafia,”

I smiled back, “Ah such a pretty name. Thank you we will gladly receive your help.” Fia’s expression seemed to relax a bit. “I apologize for what you witnessed back there, having to kill 35 officers is quite troublesome.” Her eyes widened a bit. ‘Ah so she didn’t think I noticed her.’ “Well I guess I’ll show you around the garden then, if you would like?” She nodded and followed as I lead. As we walked down the ceramic walkway I saw Fia’s dog growing at a nearby tree. I used my mechanical eye to analyze the tree. I sensed no danger and smiled knowing who was hiding. “Hibari, koko ni kinasai.” I called to the tree. (Hibari, come here.)

The barn owl swept down and landed onto my out stretched arm. “Nani?” (What?) I asked the owl. I grabbed the camera around the owl’s neck. “Mmm, oh what’s this?” I viewed the film noticing nothing important I placed Hibari on my shoulder. “Miss. Fia this is Hibari he gathers information that regards to the main Cavanello base.” Hibari softly hooted and our walk continued.

We approached the rose part of the garden and I looked up into the sky once more. “Tsunabi was the girl I buried.” I started. “She was the worst mafiasso we had. She could never aim right, she was easily scared, and she had little to no strength.” Fia glared at me for insulting my own apprentice. “But…she tried and she never gave up, that’s what I liked about her.” A calming silence came over the garden. “Still, I can’t feel anything for her, I can’t feel sadness or remorse for anyone, except Lady Nagi.” I looked back at Fia to see her listening, pity was evident in her dark orbs. I smiled and continued to walk forward until we once again reached the cherry blossom tree.

“Ah this where Lady Nagi spars and practices. She is obsessed with Asian culture, so she imported all of these tree from Japan.” Fia seemed a little bored, but still seemed focused on something. I glanced over to two certain grave spots and frowned. ‘Merrchucio, Loui, those memories still haunt my mind, I’m cursed to live like this.’ “Miss Fia what do you think of the mafia?” She didn’t reply. “Miss Fia, there is one thing I must tell you about the mafia.” The wind blew violently and stopped instantly and Fia watched closely. “We are not human, we don’t care about taking a human life, we protect the family we are in, and we obey the family we are in. To put this into simple words we are monsters.”

A gunshot rang through the air and hit the tree next to Fia. I grabbed her arm and ran to a safer area. We crouched behind a fence and waited momentarily. More shots were fired. “Miss Fia, stay here this will only take a moment I promise.” I leaped into the air and ran full speed towards the gunfire. Fia’s and her dog ran with me. I smirked to myself. ‘I see, she doesn’t like to listen to anybody, hmm well I can’t stop her so might as well see what she can do.’

I stopped and saw another group of men in suits. The were a special law enforcement group called S.I.N. “So they sent you guys huh? Well this will be fun.” I ran full speed ahead as bullets grazed my skin. ‘It’s futile to just shoot as you please because soon you will all die’ I thought to myself. The man held up his hand and the gunshots stopped. “Murasaki L. Vincento, aka the Sin of Valentine you are going to breathe your last breath today.” I smiled kindly at them. “Oh really are you going to ensure that SIN?” He laughed and pointed a gun at Fia. “If you don’t come quietly the girl will die.” I smiled once again.

“Wow taking a hostage, that’s so devious of you. I never heard of that one before.” The man smirked and fired. Fia closed her eyes, but when she opened them she realized she w

Lady Nagi led us into her room, and soon the young girl from my dream walked through the door. "Ah Mura-chan I'm glad you're here I would like to introduce you to the next Caprice boss,” Lady Nagi stated in a caring tone as my dark eyes widened with distress. I am standing in a room with a girl that is going to die soon by Matteo’s gun. Murasaki took one look at me and fainted. Blue growled at her limp body as my head flung around to look at Matteo. He was attempting to help Lady Nagi wake Murasaki as his lips held a sly grin. I was going to have to watch over this girl carefully. I have had dreams of people’s deaths before; however, I felt a hidden urge to save this one girl’s life.

I snapped my fingers for Blue to relax as Murasaki finally came to after a couple of minutes. The girl apologized as I looked her over. This will definitely be a strange meeting.

“Mura-chan. Why don’t we show our humble guests the garden,” Lady Nagi questioned the young Murasaki. The image of her dying in battle played through my mind like a horrific movie. If this girl is in danger, then how will I know? Matteo is as cunning as the devil and he always seems to have a trick up his sleeve. This would not be a normal meeting in Venice. It would be a perplexing, ghastly war. Behind Matteo’s glistening, emerald eyes laid plans of infidelity.

A thunderous crash and an ear-piercing scream shot through Lady Nagi’s sophisticated room. Murasaki instantly ran toward the noise after receiving consent from her boss. I took in every movement Murasaki’s agile frame made as she increased her speed. I whispered over to my enormous Newfoundland friend to cause a distraction, while I carefully crept out of the room and away from eyesight.

“Freeze or we’ll shoot,” an ignorant police official yelled in an attempt to scare a boy holding onto a bloodied corpse. “Yeah we already killed one of your kind.” Murasaki became tense as her scarlet eyes widened. This comrade must have had a devoted relationship with Murasaki because she had a look of anger flash through her eyes. Staying hidden in the succumbing shadows, I watched as Murasaki casually waltzed out to confront the intruders.

I watched with amusement, while Murasaki used casual conversation to drag the intruders into a false sense of comfort. “A-Are you with this family,” one police official asked as he started to tremble. Murasaki tapped her finger on her chin thoughtfully. “Hm, well I would have to say yes to that question,” she stated with a smirk.

“Quick shoot her now!”

The sounds of gun shoots reverberated off the walls as a quarrel arose. Murasaki moved with ease like a ballet dancer on stage. She had dodged every bullet aimed at her. The leader of the small police squad frantically screamed orders to his men, in order to kill off this skilled, young mafia member. Grabbing a bullet flying through the air, Murasaki crushed it with little effort. She pulled out her collapsible tonfa and jabbed it gracefully into an officer’s throat. Murasaki murdered every police official trespassing on Cavanello property. After the succinct fight, Murasaki looked into her dead comrade’s lifeless, brown eyes and closed them for the last time. Murasaki’s strong arms wrapped around the young girl’s body, and she turned to go show Lady Nagi the loss of human life. Sprinting back into the meeting room, I saw Blue gnawing at Kane’s left arm.

Lady Nagi was about to ask if everything was alright until she saw what Murasaki was holding. With a stoic expression, Murasaki reported thirty-five dead police officials as she glanced over at me. Surely, she didn’t see me in the darkness. Did she? I quickly brushed the thought aside as pity worked its way into my mind. This girl had just lost a mafia family member, yet showed no sign of sentiment. Murasaki must have had an excruciating childhood, like me, because most normal people are oblivious to the harsh

Murasaki’s POV

“Mura-chan, why don’t we show our humble guests the garden?” I smiled and bowed slightly, “Yes my lady.” The Caprice boss kept staring at me, it was a bit aggravating, but I don’t think she was staring at my appearance. Soon I heard a scream and a crash. I started ahead and looked back at Lady Nagi for an order. She nodded looking concerned. I ran ahead at incredible speed. “Well, I hope Mura-chan doesn’t make too big of a mess.” Lady Nagi muttered. I ran until I came at a halt.

Hiding to see what my prey was doing. “Freeze or we’ll shoot.” One of the men yelled. “Yeah we already killed one of your kind.” My scarlet eyes widened. I peered over to see Kyouya and my dear apprentice bloodied in his arms. ‘Tsunabi…’ As much as I should have felt hurt by her death I didn’t Tsunabi was never meant to become a mafiasso. I didn’t feel anything for my dead apprentice, but the ones who shot her were cops and that was enough reason to kill them. Kyouya shook his head his head slightly bowed in grief. I stepped out casually.

“Oya, oya…-sigh- what the hell are you doing?” I started a casual conversation to trick them into a false sense of relief. “A-Are you with this family?” The one cop cowered. I tapped my finger on my chin thoughtfully. “Hm, well I would have to say yes to that question.” I smirked. I signaled Kyouya to get out of here. He ran leaving Tsunabi, knowing it was I who had to bury her properly. “QUICK SHOOT HER NOW!” The shots were fired. I stood there easily dodging the bullets with ease. “KEEP SHOOTING.”

The leader yelled. More shots were fired. Finally losing my patience a little my right hand reached and caught a stray bullet. Crushing the hot piece of metal in my hand. That made those bottom feeders shake in their boots. My navy hair covered my eyes and I looked up revealing my mechanical eye, well hidden. “W-Who are y-you?” Their leader asked. I pulled out my collapsible tonfa blood lust evident. I was immediately behind him the spiked pierced out of my metal beauties and into his neck. “Unfortunately you’ll be dead before….” I pulled out my tonfa and blood spurted out as the man fell to the ground. “….I can even give you my name officer.”

I turned around my eyes dull and bored. Killing officers of the law were way too easy, but they really pissed me off today. At a miraculous speed I killed every single officer without batting an eye. I looked around; most of the blood was on my suit shirt and my face. I put my tonfas away on my belt. I walked over to Tsunabi; bullet wounds decorated her torso and legs. I closed my eyes and then peered into her lifeless orbs. Her brown eyes held a foreign emotion, fear. I took my gloved hand and gently closed her eyes.

“Goodnight Tsu-chan.” I whispered. I scooped her light corpse into my arms and slowly made my way to my Lady. “Mura-chan is everyth-“ Lady Nagi never finished as her eyes widened in shock and sadness. It had been five whole years since our family had a member killed. Lady Nagi looked down. “I’m so sorry Mura-chan.” I nodded my stoic expression never changed. “Lady Nagi there are about thirty five officers dead, including the leader.” She nodded in understanding and called for two strong bodyguards to take care of the ‘filth’ in the hallway. I glanced over at the Caprice boss; she didn’t look shocked or sad, but I could tell there was some type of emotion there. I bowed slightly,

“I apologize for the interruption, but I’ll have Ginta show you to the lounge. I need to pay my respects to my apprentice.” I apologized. I carried Tsunabi’s body to the garden and into a special area. I had always paid my respects to the ones who died protecting Lady Nagi; each tombstone had earned a lot of my respect. I found a nice place to bury her. “Ah look Tsu-cha

(I am switching to first person from now on because I am lazy)

I watched as Matteo gracefully glided out of the bathroom and left me draped in a soft, gray towel. Snapping my fingers and catching Blue’s attention, I shuffled into the grand bedroom to see a scandalous ruby dress that showed a significant amount of cleavage and leg when worn. However, I grudgingly slipped it on knowing that I had no other outfit in my wardrobe. Blue cocked his fluffy head as I slipped on my heels and Matteo leaned in the doorway watching in amusement as I fixed my breasts in an attempt to fill the dress out better. My dark eyes met his gaze as I stared at him in a pleading matter; though, Matteo rolled his emerald eyes and whistled for me to follow him outside.

Screaming, screeching, and the shambling of feet were the main sounds of the Crotone Train Station. I found out the Boulder I had met early was known as Kane and he held onto my right hand as Matteo held my left. They pulled me through the enormous crowd as Blue growled a deep, vicious growl at anyone who he felt was a threat. An announcer called out over the loud speaker as a train whistled next to us signaling its departure. Kane carted me as Matteo pushed me into the train making me fumble my way inside.

Hours passed as the hills seemed to soothingly slide by my window. Blue had his giant head on my lap the entire ride as Matteo stared deeply at me. His emerald eyes stared at me as if they were trying to solve an impenetrable puzzle. My mind could not concentrate on him, though. My thoughts were clouded with the foggy dream I had earlier. Who was that girl Matteo was going to kill? A tear seeped from my eye as Matteo laid a caring hand on my thigh. “I have a gift for you, my love,” Matteo quietly stated in order to keep Kane asleep in the seat next to him. “It is your old lighter from our childhood. I always had admired you for that trick you were able to do with the untamable flames. I had tried to produce the same act you use to do, however I burned myself in the process.”

Matteo handed me the silver lighter with an engraved vine design on the sides. Then, he showed me the extended scar of burnt flesh underneath his left sleeve. My pale hand tenderly stroked it as I stared emotionlessly at his arm. Matteo was indeed a foolish boy for have had tried to set himself aflame. My mother, Adriana, passed down her family secret to me in order to do this trick. It seemed like such a wondrous weapon in my childhood. Adriana could set herself aflame and burn her enemies, while she remained unharmed from the blistering flames. It had to do with a rare medical disease that was thankfully passed down to me, or else I could have died when my mother set me on fire at a young age. My parents genes helped in creating a perfect weapon, me.

Hours flew by until the train reached Venice, Italy. Matteo started to seethe with anger because the cab he had set up was late picking us up. Kane sat nonchalantly with Blue and me on the train station steps. Matteo stood cursing whilst twirling a knife as I calmly strolled into the street stopping a sleek, black 2007 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT. An overweight, balding man stepped out of the car swearing as he approached me in vehemence. I pulled out a sharp dagger while stabbing him seven times in the heart. The sorrowful man fell to the ground as I spoke to Matteo, “This man seems to have run into my blade seven times. I believe he would have wanted us to have his car, so we are not late for our meeting with the Cavanello Family. Don’t you think?”

Matteo laughed at my action as I slipped in the backseat with Blue. Matteo slammed his foot on the gas as we sped down the road to the Cavanello headquarters. When the dark car reached their base a tall woman stood out front to greet us. She said her name was Lady Nagi, and I skeptically looked at her as Matteo kissed her hand in a friendly manner. She showed us around the base a

Murasaki's POV

Previously

Her eyes held so much shock.....

It was strange those eyes I've seen them before. Instead of the coal dark iris' that stared before me now, they were dark scarlet. My thoughts raced between the present and the past. My eyes glazed over and my mind drew blank. 'This...what's this strange feeling of nostalgia. Oh yeah....I think I know this place....heh this is where the murderer in me....was born.' My body remained cold and I heard Lady Nagi's worried voice. "MURA-CHAN!"

Flashback

I was born on February 14th, it was snowing outside. I was named Murasaki. Murasaki means violet, violet related to amythest the birthstone. My mom died giving birth to me, she was from Kyoto Japan. My father was killed the next day after my birth on a mission, he was from Sicily Italy. I was alone in this world from the very start. However the previous boss took me in. His name was Leo Spanelli. Spanelli was ruthless, but treated me with false kindness. That was until I was seven. As the day of sweet amoure came I was taken to a lab with fourteen other children of different ages. I was the youngest. I became close friends with each and every child. For the past seven years I saw them die not knowing when the last moment I had with them be. I had two close friends who were with me till the end of the Spanelli's. Mercuchio. Loui. The experiments that involved everyone was to make the perfect mafiasso, in other words the perfect killing machine.

Two over sized men grabbed my thin fragile arms the bruising made them ache. The scars on my torso and my legs burned. I was injected with morphine and poisen. They threw me into a tank full of water, they hooked my right eye to a tube to moniter brain waves, I was put in a straight jacket and chained. Houdini himself would not be able to escape this one. The tube in my eye cut into my skin. The poisen had stung my insides I started to cough up blood. Finally something inside of me snapped. I tore throught the jacket and broken the chains wrapped around my body scresaming in pain as I attempted escape. The tube it was the last thing to get out. I ripped out my tube and lost my eye. I swam to the surface when it didn't budge I pounded my fists into the glass of the tank. Slowly in started to crack. One last hit made it shatter into tiny shards. I limped to the two cells where my friends were being held we were the last surviors of these wretched experiments. "Mura-sama your eye oh my god the blood." Loui cried. I laughed softly, "It was worth the pain to rescue you guys, now lets get out of here once and for all." I grinned. "Alright, what's the plan?" Merccuchio asked. "I'm making it up as we go alone." I casually answered. Loui wrapped gauze around my injured eye. "Same ol' prodigy eh?" Merccuchio smirked. I nodded. Out of all the children here I was the best fighter and the most resistant to injury and poisen. We ran as fast as we could to the exit, but that day we weren't lucky. Two lackies and the boss' right hand caught us. "Thought you could escape huh? Well you're all going to test our last sample and whoever lives gets to serve the boss." He laughed so easily at his statement. My eyes widened. Loui and Merccuchio were injected with salvents. Loui and Merccuchio shock violently. The needle snapped as it tried to pierce my skin. "Hey it's not workin' on her." "Oh leave er this'll make it more interesting." Loui and Merccuchio lunged at me. I defended myself the wounds inflicted were brutal, but I held my own soon both of my dear friends collapsed on the floor in tears. "Please Mura-sama put us out of our misery." Loui begged. "Yea I rather you killed us than these scumbags." Merccuchio cried. Both smiled at me pleading for their own deaths. Tears rolled down my face. "I-I can't... you guys are my friends...my family." I whispered. "Please...Mura...live for us if you survive you can put an end to this, so please make it stop." Both pleaded. I cried as I picked up my tof
